Falling For The Biker: The Vice President's Girl Chapter 12

Wren

"Who sent you?" Ezra sneers.

The young guy—that looks more like a teenager than an adult—doesn't respond.

Ezra's fist shoots out, hitting him straight in the nose. I wince.

Blood splatters out, and the guy groans with the little strength he has left, cupping his nose.

All my appetite quickly vanishes, stomach churning.

"I'm not going to ask you again," Ezra says. "Who sent you? What club do you belong to?"

The guy still doesn't respond.

My eyes drift to Ezra. His face is hard, chest heaving with barely controlled rage.

He scoffs suddenly. "You're not going to talk, yea?"

Ezra runs his bloody knuckles through his damp hair, pacing. We all watch, waiting for what he'll do.

"Torch, Clay and Quinn," Ezra calls, and all the three men step out of the crowd with matching scowls.

The guy trembles at the sight of more bulky men, eyes wide in terror. His fear strikes something in me, and when his eyes meet mine... I know I have to help.

Ezra nods at the guys. "Hold him down."

They man-handle him immediately, twisting his hands at odd angles before shoving him to the floor on his belly.

My jaw drops as Ezra shrugs off his Raven Reapers kutte, and steps closer to the guy.

He squats. "Are you ready to talk now?"

Still, no answer.

A sadistic chuckle—low, and threatening—leaves Ezra's lips. Slowly, he rises, then lifts a heavily booted foot over the guys back.

Shock doesn't begin to cover what I'm feeling.

"You're definitely not going to break his spine, Ezra, are you?" I gawk, eyes wide in horror at the mental image.

All eyes snap to me, including Ezra who has just realised I've been here, judging from the flash of surprise in his eyes.

"Go to your room, Birdie," he glares, lips in a firm line.

Relief washes through me when he places his foot back on the ground. But I'm not satisfied, and I won't be until the guy is safely out of here.

I shake my head at Ezra. "Not until you let him go."

A hush silence falls, almost suffocating.

"Let him go?" Ezra scoffs. "You know nothing, Wren. Don't concern yourself with this."

I press my lips together. "Where's my brother? Did he agree to this?"

"I'm his VP, and enforcer. He chose me for a reason."

I hold his stare. "Let him go, Ezra."

His jaw ticks quickly, fists balled up.

Oh, he's mad...extremely so.

"Lizzy, please take Wren up to her room."

What?

"Yes, VP," her voice cuts in from somewhere in crowd.

The breath leaves my lungs, and my gaze hardens. Lizzy pushes through the crowd, reaching for me.

I yank my hand away from her, and step closer to Ezra, the guys and the young guy.

Glaring at Torch and the rest, I speak. "Leave him alone, can't you see you're hurting him?"

They don't respond to me, not even looking once in my direction.

"Ezra!" I snap.

Irritation lines his features, jaw locked tight, eyes hardened. He holds my gaze for a long time, but I don't cower.

Then, his head dips stiffly to the guys. They frown, but concede anyway, letting the guy go.

I rush towards him, squatting. "Oh my god, are you okay?"

His answer is a low moan, face twisted up in pain. His whole body is streaked with red, purple and blue welts, the smell of whiskey clings to his skin.

"Can you stand?" I try to help him up, but he hisses and I quickly let go.

"Wren," Ezra spits. "Come with me."

I frown. "No, I need to take care of him."

His eyes pinch shut.

Low, measured breaths slip out through his mouth. Then, he pins me with a hard glare, taking a step closer.

"I won't repeat myself, Wren. Come with me."

I roll my eyes, hands on my hips. "I said no, Ezra."

Before I can blink, or even think, I'm thrown over his shoulder. The large expanse of his back is my main view.

"Shit, Prez's sister is in trouble," someone murmurs but I catch it.

I certainly am, aren't I?

"Mrs Dee, please clean him up." That's all Ezra says before marching up the stairs, his shoulder blades digging into my stomach.

"Put me down, Ezra!" I manage to huff out.

A loud smack cracks on my bum, pain shooting up.

"Shut it, Wren."

My jaw drops, heat flaming across my skin at the realization of what just happened.

"D-did you just sp-spank me?" I gasp in disbelief, core tingling.

Another smack—harder and louder than the last— follows my words. "I said, shut it."

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" I pound on his back. "You're crazy!"

All I get is a rapid set of three loud smacks.

The pain starts as a tingle on my skin, and settles in the lower part of my belly, trickling out as arousal through my core.

This has to be the most humiliating thing that has ever happened to me.

"The more you talk, the more spanks you get," he grunts, shoving his room door open and depositing me on the bed.

My eyes and head spin for a bit, but when I get my bearings, I glare at him so hard my head hurts.

"How dare y—"

He holds a hand up, interrupting my onslaught of verbal abuse, and rant.

The dial of his phone rings and someone picks up on the second ring.

"EJ, finally, I've been waiting for your call," the deep voice says. "So tell me, how did it go with Monty?"

Ezra clears his throat. "He did good. Didn't spill a word, and took everything like a champ."

My brows dip in confusion.

"Really? I had a feeling he wouldn't, he's been a good kid," the man replies, words coated with pride. "How badly did you rough him up?"

It doesn't take me long to realize he's talking about the young guy, and everything was a set up.

"You know me, Craig." Ezra chuckles, but his eyes still hold mine in a glare. "But he's being taken care of and will return to you as soon as he can."

Craig hums. "Alright, thank you for always helping out. I need to go back to business, my regards to Ray."

And the call ends.

Ezra gives me a blank stare, and my cheeks burn.

Well, that took a surprising turn.

I squirm under his gaze and the fact that I totally blew everything out of proportion.

"Urm—" I clear my throat. "Maybe I did misunderstand some things." I finally cave, the silence making my skin crawl.

He takes a large step closer until he's towering over me. "You undermined my authority in front of my brothers and sisters, you disrespected me."

In this club, respect is everything. At least that's one rule I never forgot.

"I understand what I did, and I shouldn't have...but I didn't know..."

"You don't need to know everything, Wren."

Those words aren't unfamiliar to me either. My brother practically drilled them into me.

I fiddle my thumbs, heart pounding. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have interrupted."

"That's a first." His shock is obvious, but he quickly masks it.

I roll my eyes. "At least, I apologize when I'm wrong."

And just like that, stone-cold and calculated Ezra is gone, replaced by the one that loves to taunt me.

His eyes rake down my body, and he smirks.

"So tell me, little bird...what were you doing here last night?"
