Falling For The Biker: The Vice President's Girl Chapter 147

"Oh my gosh!!!" Quincy shrieks through the phone, eyes wide and staring at my ring. "It's so beautiful. I'm so happy for you."

My cheeks hurt from smiling too much, but I can't help it. "Thank you. I'm happy too."

"Ezra's such a romantic," Judi sighs dramatically. "I almost cried. Almost, Quincy."

"Really? I asked Ray to take the videos, I hope he did."

Lizzy snorts. "He did. I made sure of it."

"You're the best Liz."

All three of us are huddled together, talking to Quincy whose smiling face is on Ray's phone. He'd pulled me aside and shoved the phone into my hand before hurrying back to Ezra.

Looking back, I see them in deep conversation, which, by the way Ray's laughing, it's nothing serious.

As if Ezra can feel my gaze, he turns...and winks. My stomach dips and I bite my lip, returning to the call with Quincy.

In twenty minutes, we'd be out of here and on our way to the hotel. I'm so giddy, excited and trying to catch up with everyone.

Ajax is on babysitting duty here, and so it's not a surprise to see Hannah adding rhinestones on his face while Noah yaps on and on.

"So, Wren and I are off the market–" Quincy's voice brings me back into the conversation. "When are you guys settling down? Huh? Judi and Liz?"

Judi snorts. "Not anytime soon. I'm taking a break from men for at least a year."

I give her a small smile, because I totally get it. Andre did a number on her, and he'd reached out again...to tell her he's not divorcing his wife anymore.

To think she was waiting for him.

God, Judi had called me for the first time and when I saw her crying face through the call, it broke me.

And I actually liked Andre for her.

"You have seven months left for the year to be up," I remind her. "But take your time, Judi. There's no rush."

Quincy hums. "Well okay. How about you, Liz? Torch?"

"T-Torch? Wh-what?" Lizzy sputters with reddened cheeks. "I'm older than him! How many times will I tell you ladies that?"

Lizzy's in her mid thirties, even older than Ezra, while Torch's about twenty-eight or twenty-nine.

"Uh huh. But he's been making you feel good, hasn't he?"

Lizzy gasps. "Judi! No!"

"We won't judge," she replies. "After all, age is just a number. But, I know when someone's getting down and dirty...if you know what I mean."

I face-palm. "God, Judi. I don't know who's worse. You or Ezra."

"Definitely me."

Quincy and Lizzy break into laughter, especially because of the way Judi says that with so much pride, and a large grin on her face.

The four of us had quickly become tight, especially after I moved here. For a second, I feared Quincy and Lizzy wouldn't tolerate Judi's loud mouth, but they did.

Judi's my best friend, and I wouldn't trade her for anything.

"Enough about men," I say after the laughter dies out. "How's my little MaryAnne?"

Quincy groans and turns the camera around where I see my ginger-haired niece in her baby walker, moving everywhere as she blows raspberries with her mouth.

"Aww." We all coo.

"She's been holding things to walk, so my dad got this baby walker and she never wants to get out of it." Quincy sighs. "She just...sleeps in it and I have to wait for her to sleep, else she'd scream the whole house down."

Lizzy hums. "That phase will pass, soon. It's because she just got the walker, she'll get tired of it."

"Honestly, I don't mind it because it helps me get things done. It's just the fact she never wants to come out of it. Plus, when she's up, she'll cry until I put her in it."

"A little time. She'll be sick of it," I encourage.

"I guess. Alright ladies..."

"Chirp? I need to talk to my wife now." Ray walks up to us, and I roll my eyes at Quincy.

"Wife?" I reply. "You've not walked her down the aisle yet."

He pats my head. "You'll get an invite soon."

We all gasp, my jaw nearly touching the ground. "Really?"

"Unlike you, I have no reason to wait. So yes, I'm marrying my girl in a few months."

I turn to the screen, eyebrows brushing my hairline. "Is that true, Quin? Few months?"

Her bashful smile is my answer and I can't help the excitement that tears my lips into an ear-splitting smile.

"Ugh! You three got all the good guys," Judi grumbles. "But I'm happy for you, all of you. I just might find my husband at your wedding, Quin."

"A biker?"

"You're all dating bikers and ex-bikers. I think they're perfect."

"You know," I say. "I can hook you up with Ajax. Ezra's brother."

She rolls her eyes. "No! He already pissed me off tonight."

"Ajax? Pissed you off? That's...absurd. He's like the sweetest, a bit intense, but aren't all Jax's intense?"

"It's a long story, but I almost stabbed him with the cake knife."

"Judi, what?"

"Another biker, please." She huffs. "I don't want him."

With that she walks away and we just stare at her, then my eyes drift to Ajax and my eyes narrow when I see the way his eyes follow her, despite the fact he's buried deep in Noah and Hannah's shenanigans.

Huh.

Ray snorts and plucks his phone from my hand. "Chirp, your fiancé needs you."

My fiancé.

Heat flares up my cheeks and I smack him. "Don't make me embarrassed."

"There's nothing to be embarrassed about, Wrennie."

Lizzy and I bid goodbye to Quincy with a promise to catch up again, and I pad all the way to Ezra who's talking to Andrea and Beth.

The birthday had come to an end a few minutes ago, and everyone was caught up doing their own things.

Ezra stands when he sees me, and immediately, his hand wraps around my waist, eyes boring into mine.

"Ready to leave? I've been unable to take my eyes off you, especially with that ring on your finger," he growls in my ear.

I swallow thickly. "Well, we have to say goodbye to the kids, and your mom and everyone."

"Thought that's what you were doing?"

"No, I was talking to Quincy."

He pulls me gently, flush against his chest and I feel his outline dig into my stomach. My heart jolts, mouth drying up.

"Feel that?" He murmurs against my ear. "I can't fucking wait to have that ring hand wrapped around my cock."

Warmth floods my whole body, from the inside out. "Ezra," I shudder, squeezing my eyes shut. "Behave."

"I can't help it. Go tell everyone goodbye for us, okay? And meet me at the lobby. I can't be walking around with a boner, your brother and mine would give me hell."

"O-okay."

"Good girl." He nips my earlobe and with a few deep breaths, he pulls away and walks out.

Apologising to Beth and Andrea for Ezra's sudden disappearance did not take a lot of time, and so did telling everyone goodbye.

Hannah wanted to come with us, but thankfully, Beth and Andrea managed to talk her out of it.

Across the room, Judi gives me a knowing grin, and goodness, I want to smack her.

I laugh and wave goodbye to her, Lizzy, Ray and Ajax. Then, I take my leave out of the event hall and down to the lobby.

Ezra's thick, dark curls come into view first and when I reach him, he slips his hands into mine and we walk out into the car park and into his car.

He turns to me once both doors are shut. "My fiancee-" he cups my jaw. "I need to kiss you...properly."

And he ravages my mouth.

I'm not any better.
