Falling For The Biker: The Vice President's Girl Chapter 92
Ezra
The plane touches down in Minnesota and when Wren smiles wide at me, I know I did the right thing.
"We're really here," she gushes.
I nod. "We are."
She's giddy with excitement and when we alight, my phone floods in with texts.
Two from Beth.
Beth: Call me when you land.
Beth: Now, why the fuck will you send that picture to me?
I also have a text from AJ.
AJ: You can't send things like this without a warning, Ezra.
The picture of mom, Wren and I is what's got their panties in a twist.
Sighing, I type out a single message to both of them.
Me: Visit your mother. She's doing better and she misses you.
Wren looks up from the baggage claim. "Everything okay?"
"Yes love. They're raging over the picture."
She smiles softly. "It's good you decided to send it when you're far from both of them. Don't worry, give them some time, they'll come around."
When she moves to grab our suitcase, I raise a brow. "Kindly move out of the way, ma'am."
She laughs and obeys and I grab our single luggage.
It's just a three-day trip, and I wish we could go somewhere more sophisticated like Paris, Greece, but with the time difference and distance...Ray will find out.
I chuck out those vacation spots for the future.
Ever since I got that anonymous text, I haven't gotten any anymore. It shouldn't bug me, but it does.
Wren doesn't know. If I tell her, she'd suggest telling Ray which is something I've already planned to do.
What's a little more patience?
My phone beeps the moment I take our bag, and I click to open it.
Ah, Wren's surprise is waiting at the hotel.
I bite back a smile, and lead her out of the airport into the rented car.
Wren stares out of the window, awe brimming in her eyes.
"We're really on vacation." She flicks those awe-struck orbs to me.
"We are."
"So that means we can hold hands in public," she murmurs.
I take her hand in mine, intertwining our fingers. "Yes."
"We can kiss at the beach, in front of a coffee shop, at the—"
I close the distance between us, and press a soft kiss to her lips. "Even here, baby."
She blushes when the driver clears his throat, giving us a look through the rear mirror.
"You're gonna scare the man," she whispers through giggles.
"I don't care. This vacation will be an outlet for us, sweetheart. Putting everything behind us, seeing how life would be when we eventually tell Ray—"
"We'll tell him immediately we get back, right?"
I nod. "Promise."
"I'm so excited, I could cry."
In actual fact, her eyes well up and I shake my head, biting my lip to stifle my chuckle.
"Hey." I cup her jaw. "None of that. We're here to laugh, eat and have lots of sex until our hearts are content."
Her brows shoot up. "Ezra!" She smacks my thigh.
I laugh.
The driver clears his throat again, and she sags down on her side of the seat, avoiding his gaze.
He's lucky he doesn't say a word.
Soon enough, we're parked at the five star hotel I booked down, and I take out our luggage and take Wren's hand.
"Thank you." She waves at the driver.
He just dips his head while muttering under his breath as he takes off.
"Wow, you really went all out," she comments when we step in.
"Mhm."
What I don't tell her is that I had to give the best in case Ray disapproves of us. At least I'll know she had the best time while we were here.
My heart caves at the thought of not being with Wren again. Instinctively, my hands tighten in hers.
We're checked in by the receptionist, and given a brief but detailed run down of the hotel even though I already have everything in the online brochure I purchased for this trip.
"So, before we get to our suite, I have a surprise for you in the suite next door," I say when the elevator deposits us on our floor.
She narrows her eyes. "You did mention a surprise yesterday."
We stop outside the room and I type a quick text to the surprise, telling her we're outside.
She replies with one word; "Coming, lover boy."
I roll my eyes with a huff. She's taken to calling me that atrocious nickname since I suggested this surprise.
I am a lover boy though. A fucking simp for Wren. And I love it.
"I know you told Judi about our relationship—"
Wren's jaw drops. "Ugh! Nothing can get past you, can it?"
"You forget that you're dyslexic. I've seen your texts."
"You've been snooping."
"Not intentionally."
"Uh huh, I believe you," she teases. "So what? I get a surprise for telling Judi?"
"Not exactly. You'll get punished for that—" I slip a hand under her shirt, she shudders, "but I know how badly you want to talk about us, me, your feelings and all of that you girls yap about—"
Slowly, her eyes widen. Quite dramatically if you ask.
Realization dawns on her. "Judi is here?" She rings the doorbell over and over. "If it's not Judi, god, I'm going to be so embarrassed."
A laugh burst out of me. "Prepare to be embarrassed then."
Her jaw drops. "You're kidding."
Before I can respond the door opens to reveal a brown-haired man, tall and lean with lipstick stains on his cheek and neck.
I'd love to be decorated by Wren like that. We should talk about it.
He gives her a dimpled smile.
Wren shrinks back, her back pressed to my front.
"Oh my god," she blurts, redness creeping up her cheeks. "I am so sorry. My boyfriend, he—Ezra!"
I snort, shoulders shaking with uncontrolled laughter.
Honestly, I didn't plan this. I do know the man, Andre—Andi for short.
"Did I hear boyfriend?" The familiar short-haired woman steps out from behind Andre. "Surprise, honey!"
"Judi!" Wren shrieks.
All her earlier embarrassment goes down the drain as they fly into each other's arms. At least they make it into the hotel room and not the hallway.
Andi chuckles, watching the two tiny women hugging themselves on the ground.
"Is this how they usually are?"
"They could be a lot worse," I reply.
"How much worse?"
"Sneaking out on us, going to some random bar and kissing other dudes."
He blinks, lips pressed into a thin line, unimpressed. "Something tells me you're not joking."
"I'm not. It's a first hand experience."
"What do you say we handcuff them to us?"
"You know what?" I think for a bit. "I like where your head's at. We'd make good friends."
He holds out his hand for a handshake. "Nice to finally meet you, Ezra Jax. Thanks for flying us out here, but you didn't have to."
"Please, it's my treat. Anything to make my girl happy."
We both look at the girls. They're sitting in the middle of the bed, whispering and giggling to themselves.
"I hope they don't fawn over each other and leave us out here to dry," he mutters.
"Same man, same." I push further into the room. "Sweetheart?"
Wren looks up with a sheepish smile. "Yes?"
"Can we go to our room now? I promise you'll see Judi in a bit."
She laughs, crawling down the bed. "I know."
"Alright, pretty girl." When she's close enough to me, I lean in. "I'm starved, darling. Ravenous."
"Ezra," she hisses under her breath, even though she pushes herself against me.
It's true. It's been a while since I had her properly. We've had to be quiet for days because of the kids.
With my teeth, I tug on her ear lobes. "Need to fuck you and hear you scream."
"I heard that!" Judi grimaces.
