Falling For The Biker: The Vice President's Girl Chapter 29
Wren
"Damn, is that your brother?" Judi whistles from her spot by the window.
I huff. "Depends. Is it a brown-haired, scary-looking guy with Ezra?"
"Yup!" She pops the 'p', then sighs. "Oh, to be surrounded by such hot dudes."
"They're annoying."
"I'd take it," she giggles.
Judi closes the blinds and hops back on my bed. "Do you think they'll come up?"
I glance at her. "I'm sure they'll come up."
Last night I had told her everything that happened with Ezra and I, right from before I moved to Seattle.
Her eyes were wide and round, soaking all the details and when I got to what happened last night, she practically melted...and pouted because apparently Ezra's now off limits.
To which I assured her she can have him.
That was a lie, of course.
"So do we let them in?" She asks.
I shrug. "Unless you want them causing a scene. Ezra and Ray are bat shit crazy, trust me. Especially Ezra."
"Anyone that threatens someone with a spank is perfectly normal."
I snort. "You're never gonna let that go, are you?"
"Never." She grins.
My phone rings from the stand closest to Judi. She reaches for it and hands it over.
"It's your brother, Raymond. By the way, does he have a girlfriend?"
I nod. "And a baby on the way."
"Sad," she huffs, and I laugh.
Then, I pick up the phone. "Before you yell, I know you're mad..."
"Of course, I'm mad, Wren," Ray snaps.
I wince, pulling the phone from my ear a bit while he continues yelling.
"What the hell were you thinking? I specifically told you not to let your friend come around, and not only did she come around, you both thought it's wise to stay out of the clubhouse?"
"I'm sorry, Ray. I just needed some space to breathe."
Judi presses her lips together, eyes dancing with humor while I bite my lip to hold back a giggle.
"You don't sound sorry at all," he deadpans.
"I am though."
Judi snorts, and I smack her as silent laughter spills from my lips.
I clear my throat after a moment. "I'm sorry, Ray. I know it was careless, Ezra definitely drilled it into me last night."
He pauses.
"You met with Ezra?" The line crackles gently.
Judi's eyes widen, and she shakes her head immediately.
"N-no. He called after I left his bar," I lie.
Judi gives two thumbs up.
Ray sighs at the other end of the call. "If you're really sorry, what's your room number?"
"Like you don't know it already," I tease with an eyeroll. "But since you want to hear it from me, it's 1460."
"1406!" Judi corrects loudly, and he snorts, followed by a soft chuckle at the background. A chuckle my body recognizes.
The beep of a car sounds. "Alright, we're coming up. Be decent...both of you."
"Yes Sir," Judi and I say at the same time, then burst into laughter as the line goes dead.
"I guess I'll stay at the clubhouse with you for my last night, but you're going to take me sight seeing today."
"Aww," I pout, making grabby hands. "I miss you already."
She hugs me. "I miss you too. Come on, let's pack up before they get here."
We grab our things, stuffing them into our little bags.
"At least they gave us till noon," Judi says, zipping up her bag just as the doorbell rings.
"Mhm." I hum. "They probably had business to attend to before coming here. If they were able to come first thing in the morning, they would."
I zip up my bag, and head for the door while Judi jumps into the bathroom to change.
"The best big brother in the whole world..." I grin sweetly, giving Ray a hug. And then I spot him. "—and Ezra," I mutter dryly.
"No hugs for me?" His lips curve, eyes quickly raking down my body. Then, he tucks his lip between his teeth.
He looks as breathtaking as ever, and I hate that I notice.
The embarrassment of last night washes down my body, and my jaw tightens. "No."
"Ouch." He holds a hand over his heart with an exaggerated pout. "You wound me."
Ray looks around the hotel room, and when his gaze lands on the dirty plates, he grimaces. "Why hasn't room service taken these out yet?"
"Because we just had lunch," I reply, bending over to grab my back.
A sharp inhale sounds, and then a cough. Ray and I look up to find Ezra with a hand in his pockets and one hand over his mouth.
"Ignore me," he chokes out through his coughing fit. "I mistakenly swallowed through the wrong pipe."
I raise a brow, not believing him in the slightest. "You choked on your own saliva?"
"Heard it happens." He shrugs, eyes twinkling and subtly running down the tiny top and even tinier sleep shorts I have on.
He licks his lips, and when his eyes find mine, he smirks, pushing his second hand into his other pocket.
"Yea, it can be a horrible experience," Ray agrees. "Why aren't you dressed, Chirp? And where's your friend?"
I grab my laid out clothes from the bed. "I'm about to do that, I was packing up. Judi's changing. You guys can sit."
Ray's phone rings, and he glares at it, showing it to Ezra. Their faces harden at the same time.
"Let me take this," he says. Ezra nods. "Be dressed by the time I'm back, Wren."
With that, he leaves, shutting the door behind him.
Ezra doesn't waste any time stalking towards me.
"Don't," I warn, taking steps away backwards.
He presses his lips together. "I just want to apologize—"
"You can do it from that distance, Ezra. Don't come any closer." My heart picks up, stomach tightening.
But the infuriating man doesn't listen.
Instead, he smiles and with one last step backward, I find myself trapped between him and the bathroom door.
"Birdie..." he leans in, his nose grazing my neck.
I can't help the shiver that works through my body.
"Please," I say. "Don't do this, Ezra. I can't take it if you push me away again."
He freezes, eyes locked on mine.
It's silent for a bit, and the air shifts between us. The tension is thick, everything hums like our bodies recognize each other.
I swallow thickly. "I'm mad at you."
"I know," he whispers so softly, my eyes flutter close for a moment.
"You left me high and dry last night, and it's not the first time..."
He smirks. "I think you meant wet."
My eyes go blank, unimpressed. "I'm serious."
He sobers. "I know, I'm sorry...."
"We can't be doing this," I say. "I can't let you pull me like I'm some puppet."
He huffs a laugh. "If anyone is doing the pulling, it's you, Birdie."
I don't respond, and he exhales deeply. His piercing gray eyes swim fiercely, emotions fighting for the surface but none really wins.
And then as if relinquishing control, he leans even closer, slipping a large thigh between my legs.
My core pulses...aches. And my mouth falls open.
Ezra takes my hand and guides it between us. I hold my breath, ignoring the pounding of my heart.
"This," he croaks, placing my hand on his very hard, and very thick dick, "is what you do to me."
