My brother and Shaniece had their baby a couple days ago and we’re going to his pack to see the baby for the first time. I cannot wait to meet my niece or nephew. I told Nick not to tell me the sex of the baby because I wanted to be surprised. The only thing bothering me about this visit is that Alex and I can’t have children for a very long time, which is great for me since there are so many things I’d like to do and see before having children, but I know that deep down he wishes he could have them sooner rather than later.

Finally, we reach my old pack and I’m so excited that I don’t wait for the driver to open the door before I get out and run into the pack house. “Nicky! Nick, where are you?”

Everyone comes from everywhere it seems and bow when they see me. I wave my hand at them to get them to stop. “I’ve told you all about that bowing crap. You’re my family. Most of the women in this packhouse and in the pack in general changed my diapers, so none of that nonsense.” I say to them.

“But it would be disrespectful if we do not bow to you.” says one of the maids.

“Clara, now when have you known me to be a traditionalist? No bowing or addressing me as your majesty. You practically helped to raise me when my parents were off on business so you of all people do not need to bow to me.” I pull her in for a hug and ask about her daughter and she tells me that she found her mate in a neighboring pack a few months ago and is doing great. She got accepted into college and her mate is the Beta of their pack.

My brother and Shaniece finally come into the living room, and they are holding the most precious little baby. Instantly I am on my feet and standing in front of Shaniece with my arms open to hold my niece or nephew. “Oh, you are the yummiest little baby I have ever seen. Your aunty is going to spoil you rotten.” I kiss the baby’s cheeks and smile when the baby giggles.

“Have you guessed whether you have a niece or nephew?” my brother asks me.

“Well, if I have to guess, I’m going to say this cute little bundle is a girl. Alex, what do you think? No using powers either buddy.” He and my brother both laughed.

“I think it’s a boy. I’m only saying that because he or she has two Alpha Lycans for parents.”

“Nick, which one of us is right?” I asked my brother. My brother looks at Shaniece and smiles before answering.

“Well, you are both right.” Before I can ask what, he means by that, I see my mother walk in carrying another baby that looks almost identical to the one I’m holding and hands the baby to Alex.

“Freya and Alex, meet your niece and nephew. Freya you are holding Hayden and Alex you are holding Jayden.” I must look like a cartoon character with my eyes bulging out of my head and my mouth hanging wide open.

“Congratulations to both of you.” Alex says while he makes silly faces at his nephew.

“Thank you. We were quite surprised after the first baby was delivered because I was still in pain. The doctor said that the second baby must have been hiding because we never saw her on the ultrasounds.” says Shaniece.

“I am very happy that you have a boy and a girl. I am definitely going to spoil my little prince and princess. If your parents every upset either of you, just let your Auntie Freya know and I’ll set them straight.” Hayden starts to giggle as if she understands me and we all laugh.

“She’s turned my daughter against us already.” I laugh even more at how silly my brother is being.

“Well, it’ll be a while before you can return the favor my dear brother.”

“But when the time comes, know that I will be returning the favor.”

“I look forward to it Nick.”

We all talked and played with the babies until they started getting fussy and Shaniece said it was their bedtime. She and my mother took the babies to the nursery to get them ready for bed while the rest of us sat around talking. Sometime later, Zacha and Michelle show up and I stand to hug them. I hugged Michelle first but when I hugged Zach, two loud growls filled the room and we both pulled apart. I kind of expected this reaction from Michelle, but not from Alex.

“What is wrong with you?” I asked him. He responded by pulling me into his chest and sniffing my neck.

“MINE!” He growled and held me tight.

“Yes, I am yours and you are mine.” I reach up and plant a gentle kiss on his lips.I know when his wolf and Lycan are present that the best thing to do is do whatever it takes to keep them calm.

“I’m sorry for growling at you Freya. I’ve been more territorial lately about my mate.” says Michelle.

“No need to apologize. It is my fault for not catching the scent change earlier. Congratulations to both of you.” I smile at them. They look at each other confused.

“How did you...” Michelle trails off.

“Freya, how did you know that Michelle is pregnant?” says Zach.
