The Lycan King and His Mysterious Luna Chapter 65

9 min 93.6K views

Freya’s body glows a bright red and her eyes flash as if on fire. Those around her move away to see what will happen next. The fighting stops as she slowly starts to walk towards Tobias. Her movement is that of a predator stalking its prey. Tobias stands there smirking at her and that only fuels her fire even more. A growl escapes her lips that practically shakes the ground under their feet. She raises her right hand towards Tabitha instead and a burst of red flames shoot out towards the witch. Tabitha deflects the attack but it hits one of her fellow witches instead and she is nothing more than a pile of black ashes in seconds. She never had any time to move. The other witches look on in shock but they don’t retaliate. Freya pays no attention to them as she only has eyes for Tobias. Once she is two feet from him she cocks her head to the side and smirks at him.

“Your life for those lost will be more than enough for payment of all the lives of the people you have hurt all these years. My mother, my mate, our beta’s mate, those women that you raped and chopped up before leaving their bodies for my mate to find, and who knows how many other countless victims.”

“There have been many more, but I don’t call them victims. You forgot to list yourself or do you think that you don’t count?” He smirks.

“I don’t count because I was never a victim. Didn’t our first encounter end with you and your two goons flat on your asses? I got away from you not once but twice by my count Tobias.” Freya smirks back at him.

“Yes, you did, didn’t you? Well, there won’t be a third time and I can guarantee you that much my dear.”

“I think that’s enough talking because I’m getting bored. Let us finish this once and for all Tobias. I’m not giving you what you want, and you know that, so may the best warrior win.”

Before he can say anything, Freya leaps through the air changing mid leap and tackles Tobias to the ground. The two of them roll for a bit with Freya snapping and growling trying to take his throat out. The others start to fight all around them as if they had been on pause this whole time and someone finally pressed play. Wolves, Lycans, and vampires were snarling and growling tearing each other apart. Tobias had finally gotten Freya off of him and he transformed into his Lycan just as she leaped through the air at him again. He caught her by the neck and shook her before flinging her into a tree ten feet away. She crashed into the tree causing it to shake before hitting the ground with a loud thud. She whimpers and shakes her head before getting up and lets out a loud growl. Quickly changing into her Lycan form, she summons her powers and uses them to give her extra strength as she and Tobias begin fighting. They exchange blow after blow, each one blocking and getting in just as many hits. The problem is that none of them are fatal. It looks as if they are only sparring with one another and not really trying to kill the other.

The fight keeps going on for what seems like forever and Freya is starting to get tired. Her powers are starting to run low, and she knows that she has to end this fight soon. She grabs him around the neck from behind and squeezes as tight as she can, hoping that at best she can knock him out. Eventually he slumps in her arms and she lets him drop to the ground. Right when she turns from him to change back to her human form, he lunges at her from behind and slashes down her back. She cries out in pain but turns swiftly and punches through his chest reaching into his rib cage. She lets her fire powers flow through her hand and ignites his heart within his chest. Pulling her arm out, his body slowly starts to burn from within and turns to ash as his body hits the ground. Freya falls to the ground having spent so much of her powers. Upon seeing what just happened, some of the wolves and Lycans start to transform back to their human form. Immediately they start to kneel and ask for forgiveness. David orders some soldiers to escort them all to the castle and lock them in the dungeons until they can deal with them. Those that weren’t forced to be there kept on fighting and lost their lives at the more experienced warriors of the royal pack.

Suddenly, the sky begins to darken, and chants can be heard through the wind. The sound of the chants quickly starts to crescendo the darker the sky becomes. Everyone looks towards the witches and their eyes are completely white while they each hold hands with Tabitha in the middle. A black cloud surrounds her as her body glows with dark electricity crackling. The glow intensifies the more they chant, and everyone just looks on as they have no idea what to do next. Freya knows that she can’t use her powers because she used so much fighting Tobias. She needs to let her body heal and recharge.

David walks next to her and helps her to stand as they both are tired from the battle. They look around at all the bodies strewn all over the ground of their fallen soldiers and of the enemy. All these lives lost over vengeance for something they probably had no idea about. Some were forced to be here, but the ones that weren’t all blindly followed a mad man that would possibly have killed them all himself when this was over had he won the battle.

The chants die down and the sky lightens up a little, but not much. There is a fierce wind blowing and Freya smells something in the air that she never thought she’d smell again. She turns to look at David and a small smile plays on her lips. “David, he’s coming.” She whispers in his ear.

“Are you sure?” he whispers back.

“Sniff the air. I smelled it when the wind was blowing.” David sniffs the air and frowns.

“I don’t smell anything other than blood.” She sniffs again and then frowns.

“That’s weird. I know I smelled it a few seconds ago. Maybe I’m just wishing he was here so much that I’m smelling him even though he isn’t here. Well, what are we going to do about the witches? I can’t use my powers until I get my strength back and even if I could, I doubt I could take her down.”

“Yeah, I have no idea either, but we will fight until we can no longer. I’m just not going to give up. Alexander has been my friend since childhood and has saved me more times than I can count. There is no way that I’m just going to run away with my tail between my legs because my adversary has a greater weapon at her disposal. We’ll figure something out to at least stall her until Alex can get here. I just wish I knew what that something was already.”

Alex’s POV

After what felt like hours of running the rest of the way to the castle, we finally made it there and I ran inside looking for Freya. People were talking to me and saying how grateful they were that I had returned but I heard none of that as I only wanted my mate. My mother came into my view and hugged me before kissing my cheek, but still I had not seen who I was looking for and was starting to get very agitated. My sister hugged me next, then Freya’s mother, and finally I had enough.

“Where is Freya?! I screamed and everyone stood still looking at me in shock. I was breathing heavily and I know that my wolf and Lycan were both at the surface. A timid looking girl that I’ve never seen before walked up to me slowly and introduced herself.

“Hello your majesty. I am the mate of your beta. David said that if you were to show up after they had left that I am to tell you where they are immediately.”

“You mean to tell me that Freya is out there with the army?” I can feel my anger rising.

“Yes, your majesty. She insisted. David tried talking her out of it, but she was very stubborn, and she told him to stay here, but you know David wasn’t going to do that either. She said that you would understand her needing to go.”

“And what is your name?” asks Alexander. She smiles at me.

“I’m sorry your majesty. My name is Shayla LeBlanc. You should also know that I was one of the ones that helped to kidnap your mate.” Alexander’s eyes flashed black but before he could say anything she kept talking. “I have already said that no matter what happens I am prepared to accept whatever the consequences of that will be, though I’ve been forgiven by everyone including Freya. My King, I promise that I will explain everything if you want and will await any punishment but right now, I think you should get to her. I can feel David through the bond, and if she feels even half of what he is feeling right now, they are in big trouble.”

I wasted no time finding out where they were and started heading there before I remembered the witches. They had been there the whole time but hadn’t said a word. Hurriedly, I introduced them to everyone before continuing on their way to the field where Freya and the army were located. Running in my wolf form at full speed for about thirty minutes when I smelled her scent and burst through the trees. When I saw what was happening, he saw red. My wolf and Lycan were also angry as they saw their mate being attacked by Tobias and was ready to take action when we saw our mate, even though injured, take control and use her powers to finally end Tobias’ life.

The wind started to pick up and the sky darkened. There was a woman standing in the middle of four other women while her body has a dark glow. Black electricity is crackling all around her and then I noticed David move towards Freya and help her stand.
