The Lycan King and His Mysterious Luna Chapter 48

“Okay so I’m on my own for now. Where the hell am I and who kidnapped me?” Suddenly my memories of the last few weeks leading up to my kidnapping come flooding back to me. “Shit! Why didn’t I tell Alex about those messages? I remember opening the link and being able to say only his name, but I don’t think it connected. Hopefully he was able to feel my emotions and know that something is wrong. Though, by now I’m sure everyone knows that I am missing.” I sit back on the bed and try to think of a way out of here. I’m sure the door is locked so I didn’t even try to open it. There’s nothing in this room that I can use as a weapon unless I pick up the bed and that is not an option. I’m strong but not that strong. Damn! I try to mind-link with Alex again, but nothing happens. Celestia was able to connect with his Lycan so at least he knows I’m alive, for how long though is the real question. “Alex, please come and get me.” For the first time in a long time, I am actually scared and that scares me.

After some time passes, I don’t know how long but it felt like a couple of hours, I hear keys in the lock and the door opens. Quickly I stand up and get into a defensive position. An older woman comes in with a guy behind her that I’m guessing is a guard, and she carries a tray with some food and a glass of water on it, before setting it down on the table. I cock an eyebrow at her as if to ask, “are you serious” and then watches as she leaves, and the door is locked behind her again. I sniff and can tell that the water is definitely laced with something. I pour it out into the sink in the bathroom and leave the food untouched on the platter. Too bad, because it did smell delicious. Try again. I washed my hands just in case the glass was coated with the same substance and sat back down on the bed.

The room had no windows, so I couldn’t jump out and with the door being locked it would cause too much noise if I knocked it down. “I could use the table or the chair to knock out the guard and try to make a run for it, but I have no idea where I am and trying to figure that out while people are hunting me is not going to work in my favor. Any distraction could make the difference between freedom and capture or death.” Ugh! There has to be a way out of here.”

Minutes later, I heard keys in the door again and stood up taking my defensive position once again. The door opened fully and this time a man walked in flanked by two others. I could tell the one in the front was the leader though he wasn’t an Alpha by blood, and he was also a Lycan. The two at his side were also Lycans but they weren’t of Beta or Gamma blood. They must have self-appointed themselves. As I continue to size them up, I notice they are watching me as well, but with lust in their eyes. Gross! I’ll kill anyone who even tries to touch me.

“Who are you and why did you bring me here?”

“Feisty. You’ll be wonderful in bed.”

“Am I being punked? I will never be in bed with you. I’ll only ever be with my mate.”

“Well, you won’t be seeing your mate again, so you may as well get used to being with me. I was going to share you, but I think I’ll keep you and make you my Luna Queen after I kill your mate and take over the kingdom.” I couldn’t help it. I burst into a fit of laughter. This guy was delusional. Alex is the most powerful Lycan to ever walk this earth and he thinks that he can kill him when nobody else has been able to do the deed? Yeah, this guy is on some serious drugs. I was laughing so hard that I didn’t sense when he moved closer until it was too late and felt a hard slap on my right cheek. That sobered me up quickly and before he knew what happened, I punched him so hard in the stomach that it sent him flying out the door and into the wall in the hallway. I was fuming. If I was a cartoon character, there would be smoke coming out of my nose and ears.

“Don’t you ever put your hands on me again. My own parents and mate have never struck me, so don’t think I’ll allow you.” I was breathing hard and trying to keep myself calm though without Alex it is hard. Staying calm is what I need to do for now since I don’t have my wolf or Lycan for help just yet.

His two goons ran up on me and I punched one with an uppercut to his jaw while I kicked the knees of the other one. I heard the satisfying crunch of bones breaking before I jumped over their moaning bodies and ran from the room. Once I made it to the end of the hall, I had to decide whether to go left or right and decided to follow my nose. Their scent went down the right side, so that is where I went. Coming to what I believed to be the front of the house, there were three doors and I opened them all until I found the one that led outside. It was nighttime so I waited a second for my eyes to adjust to the dark and took off towards the forest. I’m faster in wolf form but that wasn’t an option, though I am pretty fast in human form since I’ve become a Lycan.

Running for what seemed like forever, I finally reached a road and decided to follow it to the city. Once I get there, I can use a phone or hopefully my wolf and Lycan have rested enough to contact Alex. There are headlights behind me and that makes me run faster since I don’t know if it is a random car or my attackers.
