The Lycan King and His Mysterious Luna Chapter 52
My entire body shakes and my wolf and Lycan take over. I move to the back crying for the loss of my mate while I can feel nothing but anger and fury coming off my wolf and Lycan in waves. I no longer care about stopping them and keeping them from killing whoever or whatever gets in their way. My men know to not get in the way of a wolf or Lycan going through blood rage. The only way to get close enough to stop them is once the target of their pain has been destroyed. My wolf and Lycan will recognize them as long as nobody gets in their way. For now, they are massacring the enemy, and I can see my men standing back and watching the carnage. They all have sad looks on their faces and I know that they figured out what has caused this change. It is very rare that my wolf and Lycan work together, but at the moment they are, and they are a formidable force. The stupid vampires came back once the sun went back into hiding. Due to my mood, the weather has changed again. Now it is cloudy and looks as though a storm is rolling in, and in truth there is a storm rolling in, me.
Once I’m done here, we move on to find my Beta, father, and Alpha Facundo with the other part of my army, and they are doing pretty well but I’m in the mood for blood. A loud growl leaves my lips before I charge into the fray and start ripping even more of the enemy into shreds. When my father catches my eyes, I blink with recognition and falter for only a second before my steely resolve comes back and I move on to the next victim of my rage.
“Son, what has happened?” he asks through the link.
“I think you know already.” my wolf and Lycan answer together. The voice sounds even deeper and more vicious than my original voice.
“Stryker, Khal, don’t do this to him. You know there is no way of getting him back if you go too far. Please, as your father, I’m begging you to let him take back control.”
“You don’t get it, do you? This was not our doing. He gave us control. We did not take it. The only way for him to come back would be in our mate is alive somehow, but I doubt that since none of us can feel her life force anymore.”
My father gasps and covers his heart, but while distracted two Lycans jump on him and start clawing at his back and stomach. I make quick work of the ones that are attacking me and move to help my father. He’s healing quickly and will be okay if I can keep them off of him for a bit. Alpha Facundo is doing pretty well to say he is fighting Lycans. I’ve noticed that there are mostly vampires and Lycans in this bunch. The rest may be heading towards the castle and that is where I will be headed as soon as everything is taken care of here. They can’t wait to taste more blood of the enemy. First, we are going to follow where her scent was leading me and see if the assholes left her body there. I’ll bring her body back home so that we can have a proper burial for her. Well so that the family can, because once I’m done killing them all, I’m going to leave this place. I’m giving up being King. How can I go on running a kingdom when I’ll be mourning my mate? My wolf and Lycan both whimper their sadness as I sit in the back of their minds and mourn our mate.
They run swiftly through the forests and catch her scent again making them run faster. I perk up a little hoping that what we’re feeling is a mistake, and that when we find her, she’ll be alright. Maybe even standing over the bastards that kidnapped her and just waiting on us to find her. We come out and the first thing we see are the bodies of two dead Lycans and can smell the scent of two wolves, but it is faint. I’m guessing they ran away. “We will hunt them down and kill them!” says my Lycan. Looking around at the scene, I can tell that something isn’t right. I don’t see the Lycans attacking first instead of sending in the wolves. “No! For some reason, I don’t think they had anything to do with our mate. I have a strong feeling that she let them go. Freya is an excellent fighter and would have taken out those two before tackling the Lycans.” I tell them. They aren’t happy about it, but they comply.
Sniffing around, I pick up Freya’s scent and follow it through the forest on the other side of the road, until I come upon a house in the middle of nowhere. I can’t sense anyone around the perimeter or anywhere in the vicinity, so I open the door and enter. At first glance, from the outside, the house looks old and run down. I figured she came here for shelter or to hide until I could get to her, but being on the inside of the house, the place looks very taken care of and has a homey feel to it. Shaking off the feeling, I decided to keep moving. We need to find her before I give in completely to the blood rage. Right now, I still have some control over my wolf and Lycan but that is only because they want to find our mate as much as I do, and we still have some hope that she is alive. Once death is confirmed, there will be nothing I can do to fight my two counterparts. There is a reason we are given mates. They are the ones that keep us balanced. Though Freya and I have some similarities, we are opposites, but that works to our advantage. This is true of all mates. We are stronger with our mates.
