The Lycan King and His Mysterious Luna Chapter 118

“Michelle is pregnant? Congratulations guys. Zach, why didn’t you tell me man?” says my brother.

“Thanks Nick. We were waiting to tell people but back to my question. Freya, how did you know?” says Zach.

“I can smell her. When wolves or Lycans are pregnant their scent changes. I thought you knew that.” I simply said.

“Yes, that’s true Freya, but even with Lycans, only their mates can tell. Nobody else other than the Lycan King has the ability to scent a female is pregnant that isn’t his mate.” says Michelle.

“Really? I thought it was something all Lycans can do, so I thought everyone in the room that’s a Lycan knew.”

“Maybe it is one of your powers.” said my mother.

“Maybe, I mean there’s still so much we don’t know about what we can do.” I said as I took my seat back on the sofa.

“Speaking of what we can do, there is something that I wanted to try. I think it will work. Mrs. Cabrera would you mind if I tried something on you since you don’t have a Lycan?” said Alex.

“Is it dangerous? If it is then you will not be doing anything to my mate.” said my father.

“I assure you that it will not harm her. I didn’t tell Freya this, but I’ve been practicing this with the Goddess herself in a dream state. She says that it should work but if it doesn’t then no harm is done. I’m absolutely certain that it won’t cause Mrs. Cabrera any pain though.” says Alex.

“Alex, what are you planning to do to my mother?” I asked him curiously.

“I rather not say in case it doesn’t work. I’ll say what I’m doing when it is over. I promise.” he says to me.

“Okay. I trust you and you know that already. Can this be done inside, or do we need to go outside?” I ask.

“We can do it here.” he says before walking close to my mother and putting on hand on each side of her head. “If you feel any pain or discomfort and wish to stop, simply tell me, though you shouldn’t feel anything other than some minor pressure.”

“Go ahead your majesty. I mean Alex.” She smiles at him as if she knows something that the rest of us do not.”

A surge of power engulfs the room as Alex stands in front of my mother and his hands start to glow with a blue light. We all sit around watching as they stand in the middle of the living room. Nobody moves or speaks as we watch with curiosity waiting to see what happens. I can tell that my father is nervous about what’s happening. Being an Alpha means that he is extra protective over his mate.

The light grew brighter and brighter until it was almost blinding, and I had to look away for a minute to adjust to the brightness. When I looked around the room, I saw that I was not the only one having trouble seeing with the bright light. Eventually the light died down a little and when I looked closer, I could see that Alex’s lips were moving but I couldn’t hear what he was saying. I don’t even know if he was saying anything at all to be honest.

“LYCAN, SORS!” He suddenly shouts and my mother screams as her bones begin to break and reform.

“What have you done to her!” my father yells at my mate.

“I’ll explain later, but for now take your wife into the woods Alpha Cabrera.” says Alex.

“You said that it wouldn’t hurt her whatever you did, but she is screaming, and it sounds like her bones are breaking.” My brother walked up to my mate like he was preparing for a fight, and quickly I stepped between them letting some of my aura out.

“You will not harm my mate!” I shouted and everyone bowed in submission. My voice was not my own but that of my wolf and Lycan. “No one will ever harm our mate again. Back off! Take our mother into the woods like your King instructed.”

My father quickly grabbed my mother and ran with her out of the house but not before he looked at me with a shocked expression. The others were looking at me the same way, but my brother was the one to speak.

“Freya you didn’t have to talk to him like that you know. I mean he was afraid for his mate, and it isn’t like he could hurt Alex anyway.”

“Watch your tone when you speak to us. We are not as submissive as Freya. Your sister would apologize, but we will do no such thing. Our mate was taken from us and hurt, and we will never let anyone hurt him again including family.” said my wolf and Lycan together.

“I’ve had enough of this. I’m going to check on our parents.”

There was a hand on my back rubbing circles, and I instantly calmed down. My wolf and Lycan retreated to the back of my mind, and I was again in control.

“I am so sorry for that. They’ve both become scared of losing you, but they’ve never lashed out at my family before, and that’s a bit unnerving. I thought the therapy was helping but maybe it doesn’t work on our animal sides.”

A couple of hours passed before I could hear footsteps coming back towards the packhouse. Alex and I decided that it would be best if I didn’t go into the woods to check on them. My brother and father seemed to both be upset by my wolf and Lycan’s behavior, but neither of them understands what it is like to lose or think that you’ve lost your mate. That haunts me every day. I’m always wondering what will happen next to us and whether someone will actually succeed next time in taking one of us away from the other. Alex pulls me onto his lap and rubs my back as I let silent tears run down my face.

“I can feel your fear and sadness through our bond. My love, you don’t need to worry about anyone taking me away from you ever again. I’m here to stay and I’ll kill anyone that tries to take you from me.” he says.

Everyone comes running back into the packhouse and they stare at me sitting on Alex’s lap as he rubs my back. I can hear them all take a seat but there’s an extreme amount of happiness coming from my mother and that makes me turn around on his lap to be able to see her. She is beaming from ear to ear and that makes me feel better about earlier. I wasn’t going to apologize to my father because I didn’t have to, and we both knew it. He was acting out of protectiveness for his mate and so was I. We both know what the other has gone through with our mates.

“Are you okay Freya?” asked my brother.

“I’m fine.” I say to him.

“Mom, why are you smiling so much?” I asked her.

“So, it worked then?” asked Alex.

“Yes!” Shouted my mom.

“What worked? What happened?” I asked.

“I’ll let your mother tell you.” He said and smiled at me. I turned back towards my mom.

“What is going on? I kind of don’t like my mom and mate having a secret. Spill it one of you.”

“Your wonderful, amazing mate gave me back something I thought I’d lost forever.” My mother is so dramatic.

“Mom, will you just tell me. I know how wonderful and amazing my mate is already. I’m tired and we have to drive back tonight.”

“He gave me back my Lycan. I thought she was dead, but he brought her back to me. Thank you so much Alex. I don’t know how I’ll ever be able to repay you for this gift.” she says as tears fall from her eyes.

“You don’t have to thank me. It was my pleasure to do this for you.”
