The Lycan King and His Mysterious Luna Chapter 14

“I am such an idiot. I didn’t even think to use my Lycan to feel for you.”

“That’s why I say you’re too uptight. You get so caught up that you forget basic instincts. Being able to feel one another is one of the gifts all of us shifters possess. It is a tool we have always had at our disposal before technology was even invented.”

We talk a bit more about some business that needs to be taken care of before he goes off to interrogate the rogue that we caught. I’ll handle the other one tomorrow morning before breakfast. I need to handle as much as I can before the Mating Ball because I don’t want any problems popping up to destroy the ball or my mate’s birthday.

The next morning, I am up earlier than usual and head down to the dungeons to “speak” with my new rogue friend. We tend to keep the dungeons sanitary because some that are down here are not here for major crimes. Even those here for major crimes still don’t deserve to get extremely sick from some illness or disease. We don’t die easily but we can still get very sick if wounds are left untreated. Once a week the prisoners are taken from their cells and the entire place is cleaned and sanitized. Solitary confinement cells are hardly ever used so the prisoners are housed there until their regular cells are cleaned then they are placed back, and the solitary confinement cells are then cleaned again. The prisoners are checked out by our pack doctors regularly and treated if something is wrong. Nobody is treated poorly unless they make me like this insubordinate rogue. The scared one will be sentenced for his crime and once his sentence is done, he will be let go if he survives.

Torture is not something I enjoy doing... a lot. I would much rather they tell me what I need to know, and we can all get on with our lives. Unfortunately, there is always one that must be made an example out of and those I love breaking. I always get to the truth, and I have no idea why they haven’t figured that out by now. I am the Alpha Lycan King, not a regular Alpha. I cannot be lied to and can use my Alpha voice to make them tell me the truth. When using my Alpha and King voice it can kill them, which is why I hardly ever use it on anyone. That voice is a combination of my human, wolf, and Lycan voices all mixed together, and nobody can take the pressure of that voice. I’ve learned how to apply just enough pressure, so I get the truth without killing them. The reason I am so powerful is because both my parents are from Alpha and royal blood and are both Lycans. Once I mate with my gorgeous mate, I will be even more powerful and so will she.

I reach his cell after ten minutes of walking and have the guard open the cage. He is lying on the bed or cot really and sits up when I enter the cell. Two guards show up and stand in the corner of the cell. Their eyes are watching the rogue waiting to see if he tries anything. It would be suicide if he does and my Lycan has been ready for a fight, so if this rogue does try to attack me, he’ll die quickly.

“Well, well, well, if it isn’t the Lycan King. What do I owe the pleasure of your visit your majesty?” He smirks at me, and I smile on the inside. They always start off this way and by the end of it, they are begging me to end their lives. I walk up to him with my claws on my right hand extending and I slice his shirt open. He stands his ground, but I can smell the fear rolling off him in waves. This is going to be good.

Three hours later there was blood all over the floor and my clothes are ruined, but I have the information and now I am in the shower washing the blood and other body fluids off me. I didn’t go there with the intention of physically torturing him but at the show of disrespect when I first entered his cell, I couldn’t let him off easy. By the time I was finished, he had pissed himself and begged for me to just end his life numerous times. My wolf and Lycan were both very present and happy with how we handled the rogue.

After my shower, I change into some jeans and a blue Polo shirt with sneakers and head downstairs to the dining room for some lunch. I’m tired and would much rather have a nap, but I still have work to do. Lunch is meat lasagna and garlic bread, which is one of my favorite meals, and when I’m done eating three plates full, I head to my office to get some work done before going to training. Today I had planned to watch the warriors and others train. Everyone here trains no matter their gender or station. There is no such thing as a weak link to me. I believe that everyone can be a strong and valued member no matter if they are born Alpha or Omega. Unless you have lost a limb you go to training every day. We have different training periods throughout the day, that way those working or in school still get their training in and don’t fall behind.

My work had been piling up for a while but today I managed to get it all done. I absolutely hate paperwork but that’s part of running businesses and a kingdom. Heading down to the training fields, I see everyone there working on various types of combat. Some are fighting in wolf or human form, some are practicing with weapons which include guns, and some are learning to set traps. They even learn survival skills in case something happens like getting captured and they can get away, they can survive long enough for us to find them. That training is mostly for the kids though since they don’t get their wolves until they are 15 and their Lycans when they are 20.
