Treasure Of Dragons, Royal Dragons Book 1 Chapter 128
Ria
I was staring at the screen seeing evidence of destruction. Evidently, our time was now up as far as any grace period for being able to quietly investigate what the hell was actually going on. This of course also spoke huge volumes about the fact that what the guys had been doing was not legitimate. So, now we were faced with the huge question of what to do next?
“Okay, Constantine, get the fuck out of the system and erase your tracks. Plant info bombs, so if anyone tries to back hack you they hit that and it fucks up their system.” I yelled out to him.
“Ria, you need to do that, you can do that in less time than I, so get over here and do it.” I sighed and went to his desk.
He hopped up and I looked at what he had been doing. Then I started typing and inserting codes and implementing programs and protocols. It took me about 20 minutes to feel confident that I had covered our asses sufficiently with all of that.
Constantine smiled and nodded at me, then he sat back at his desk and started gathering what other information he could. He started sending out alerts to the other families as well, I nodded and patted his shoulder.
“He’s sending out alerts to the other families to let them know what’s happened in case they don’t know yet. So, what do we need to do now?” I watched all of the guys look at each other.
“Okay, let's assume they were attacked because of information they found while doing their own investigating. They most likely would have been doing that investigation regarding their own Parliament, so we may have the leeway that those people aren’t targeting us right this second, because they think they have plugged the leak. I guarantee there will be some kind of news about an attack in New Zealand.” David was rubbing his chin as he watched us.
“Yeah, they’ll most likely try to frame it as some type of terrorist thing or a bomb. So, we can watch news wires for that. Also, I don’t want to do anything right now because it will be too hot. However, after a few days or so, Constantine and I need to go into their systems and see if we can uncover what that information might have been. I have a feeling they may not have taken this whole thing seriously enough. If they were digging, they should have been covering their tracks, unless they thought it was a wild goose chase.”
Ash nodded and offered up, “That is entirely possible. We haven’t had the most cooperation from them on any front. Even after they did attend the meeting with you Ria, they still weren’t overly cooperative with us, and they had never really shown interest in coming here to interact with our family. So, I honestly can’t say how much they believed and how much they started looking into thinking we were full of shit.”
David snorted, “Yeah, you will find that is a common occurrence when you start telling people about all of this bullshit. People have a tendency to not want to believe it. I do understand that to find out basically your whole fucking life is a lie is a huge, mega, impact thing, so there’s some resistance. However, most follow the ostrich path and stick their heads in the sand.”
“Okay, we have put this off. I think we need to at least set the older ones down and start explaining this. If something goes down here, we need them to know what the fuck is up. Also, we have never talked to the boys, or Collette about their abilities. So, we need to work with that, because if they need to use them to defend themselves, then they need to be ready to do that. Heather will probably shift here soon as well.”
“I agree, we need to try and let them know what’s up. I'm just worried about panicking them about what is happening with all of it.” Drago was watching me as he said that.
I snorted, “Drago, they legitimately just had a whole family evac moment. Yeah, the boys did amazing with framing it to be an adventure and making sure the younger ones didn’t panic. However, I will guarantee that a lot of the older ones were very well aware something was fucked up and way off, they may not have said anything, but they knew.” he sighed and nodded.
David clapped his hands together and sort of grinned a bit, “Okay, I guess it’s time to let you guys know what one of my abilities is. We haven’t talked about it, and I usually don’t. However, it is very important and relevant right now. One of my abilities is to actually be able to sense the abilities in others. So, just in case you didn’t know this already, your family is crazy powerful, but that actually stems from Ria. She has abilities I legit have never even heard of. I am not sure I have even begun to grasp exactly what she can do. So that is just an Fyi thrown out there. Sorry if I threw you under the bus sweetie, but you need to know this shit now.”
I just stared at my dad, having no idea how to frame that or what to do with that honestly. “Ah, okay, I guess since I have a hate, hate relationship pretty much with my dragon, that has never come up. I guess we will have to call a truce, although I do have to admit she’s gotten a lot better over the last year, so I will give her props for that one.”
I saw all of the guys shake their heads, “We know the relationship is contentious, but we’re trying to help you be able to get that on a better footing as well baby.” Cole said to me.
I chose to leave that one alone for the most part and just offer a slight nod, “Okay, so what should we do first? Do we find out what everyone’s abilities are? Do we talk to them or do it all together, what do you all think?”
David smirked, “I think it’s time for Dragon school.” I rolled my eyes at that, but it was a really good idea.
