Treasure Of Dragons, Royal Dragons Book 1 Chapter 142
Drago
“Okay, what do you mean the Landrys have just been hit, Constantine?”
“They have been attacked. They sent an alert to the village, since they are not that far away, and Elizabeth called, so I checked the satellite images. It’s not to the level of destruction as we saw with Patels but it’s bad.”
I rubbed my hands on my face, “I’m going to call and talk to Kovo, and see if he knows any more than we do at the point, plus someone from their village or house might seek aid from them.”
“I’m going to call Pyre and make sure they are alerted as well, all of the local villages should technically be put on alert, or at least given a heads-up.” David was pulling his phone out of his pocket.
I pulled out my phone and dialed Kovo, “Hello Drago, I thought you would probably be calling me, or David would be.”
“David is calling Pyre to talk to them about what they might know. I have no idea how much you already know, but after Elizabeth contacted Constantine, he pulled up aerial photos and he said the destruction was pretty heavy. I’m not sure if anyone would reach out or try to get to a nearby village for aid, but you might want to let everyone know that you might have incoming wounded. The village there and their house were both hit pretty hard.”
‘That’s a good idea and I’ll be sure to alert the village. We spoke to Nibulu who is the leader of Pyre’s village, and he is aware as well. It will ease Pyre to speak to David however. So, do we think perhaps after 2 Royal Dragon houses and villages have been attacked, that we should consider relocating your family so they are not aware of your location?”
“Yeah, that thought was just circling my brain. I’m going to sit down with everyone here and talk about how we should make that happen. Also, we need to send an alert to the villages, and perhaps if we let our “bossesses” know that we are going dark for an indefinite period of time, it will give the village more of a cushion if they know we are not here.
“Constantine, help me find a big Charter Bus for sale somewhere, we need something feasible to move this many people at once all together.” I heard Ria shout.
I chuckled, “I just heard Ria ask Constantine to help her find a big Charter Bus we can purchase so we can move everyone at once. I am glad she thinks of these things because I was honestly drawing a blank.”
“You have a very intelligent and gifted wife.” I chuckled.
“That I do Kovo, that I most certainly do. I will be touching base with you and Kaskae as we know more specifically what we are doing.”
“That sounds like a good idea. Be safe.” With that, he hung up.
I walked over to where Ria was talking to Constantine and they were both working on computers.
“What are you guys finding?” I looked back and forth
“Well, it was fairly easy to look and find a charter company that is going out of business. So, they are selling off their fleet of buses. Normally it would be another charter company that would purchase them, but they are still showing they have stock. Ria is about to contact them about purchasing 2 of them.”
I raised my eyebrows wondering what she was working out in that amazing brain. I watched her talk on the phone and then she looked up at me. She immediately jumped up and came over.
“Yes, I am giving you to my husband. He’s going to give you payment information for all 350 thousand right this second. Then, we’ll be taking our private plane out to take possession of them immediately.” With that, she handed me the phone.
I worked with the gentleman on the other end of the phone. Apparently, they had several in stock, they were very new all things considered, they would be more than big enough to transport the whole family, and each was 175 thousand. So, I paid him, and then told him we would see him soon to take possession of them.
“Okay, baby, tell me what you are thinking.” She looked up at me.
“What I am thinking is getting our family the fuck out of here. Yeah, taking care of those bastards that Braun sent here was easy. I don’t want to have to fight a full-scale war here with our kids in harm's way. Besides the amount of destruction, were they caught unaware? Did they not see it coming? If that was the case, how did they do that? Was there just way more than 4 grown male dragons could manage to handle it? So, that is what I am thinking.”
“Okay, that is all very valid, and we’ll work on finding out all of those answers. In the meantime please try to remember to breathe, we are all working on this together. As far as the Landrys go, yes they were gifted, but not to the level our family is. Also, I honestly don’t know how much they were paying attention and on the lookout for. We’ve taken this extremely seriously and been very much hands-on, I'm not sure how much they were.”
She nodded, “Well, I will feel better if we just leave, pack up, and take the kids out of here. We can find out the answers to things after we evacuate. Right now that is all that is circling my brain, just getting the kids to safety. So, we can start working on that first. Then Constantine and I will come up with some kind of mobile command center. There are 2 buses, because 1 is the family bus, and the 2nd is for all of the security and Constantine to come with. So, we can decide who wants to come with us, and who wants to go somewhere else on their own? Who wants to just go to the village? All of that stuff, so we need to alert all of the staff and find out.”
“Okay, I will go take care of the staff with the guys and then why don’t you go get the kids packing, and get Brand and Drako to help make it into a game like last time. It will help, although there’s a huge amount they know, if we can keep it more of an upbeat atmosphere, it should help.” She nodded.
As she turned to leave, I grabbed her hips, she looked up at me, but I just pulled her into my chest and hugged her close for a moment. I breathed in the scent of her hair and just kissed her forehead. She smiled as she rushed from the room, and I went to speak to my brothers to get this shit going.
