I had gathered the 5 oldest kids together, “Okay guys, I need your help. We have already told you a lot about what is happening, and we had told you guys that the Patel family had been attacked. We thought it might be because they were doing a whole lot of checking out what we had told them without being careful. However, now the Landrys have also been attacked. So, rather than risk it we have purchased two big Charter buses. We need to take possession of them, and then we are going to go somewhere else that is safer than being here. So, if you guys could help me get the kids packed up and do what you did before. Let’s keep it fun and upbeat. I will be sure you guys are in the loop as far as what we’re doing.”

“Okay, Mom, we’ll do that, you can count on us. Do you think you will fly to get the buses and bring them back or will you all fly there and then just move over to buses instead of the plane?” Brand was scratching the stubble on his chin as he asked. 

“No way in hell will I leave you guys behind. We will be leaving together. So, I am going to talk to your dads about the best way to do that. I think our plane is too small, so we might need to charter a private plane that’s big enough for all of us. Constantine, Dragori, and some of his security staff will be coming no doubt. We need to check in on Natalia and see what she wants to do as well.”

With nods, hugs, and kisses all around, they left to go and help. I went and let Isobel and Monica know what was happening. I told them to let me know what they wanted to do as far as them coming with us. The kids were old enough to help me with child care, but I didn’t have too many babies anymore, thank God. Now, Hope and Sarah were still little, but Dillion and Jeremy were big enough that it wasn’t so much to let the kids help with them sometimes. 

I went back to the control room to check in with Drago and let him know what I had been doing. He would be the one to coordinate with Dragori and his security team. Victor the house manager was currently speaking with the staff and we would take care of all of that momentarily. As I walked into the control room all 4 of my mates and David looked up at me. 

“Okay, the oldest 5 are coordinating to get the kids packing up for a family vacation. So, I’ll go check in with that later. I have talked to Isobel and Monica and they will let me know what they both wish to do in a while. Victor said he’d take care of meeting with the staff. Drago, you’re coordinating the security staff right?” 

He came over and put an arm around me and hugged me to his side, “Yes, I have already talked to Dragori and he’s working on who wants to come now, who wants to meet up with us later, and who is staying close to family. So we’ll have that squared away soon. We have already set up to charter a plane out tomorrow. So, tonight we finish up here, and then we’ll take vehicles to the private airstrip, and there will be a huge charter plane waiting that is big enough for everyone. So, then we fly to pick up the buses. They have huge luggage holds underneath, so we’ll have more than enough room for all of that.”

“Ah, I should have asked Victor, but I can in a bit. I want to pack up any coolers we have with the food in the house that any staff here won’t need or whatever. There are bathrooms, well, such as they are, on the buses, so if we have food then we could get some distance between us and whatever trouble might be hunting us. I wanted to know what you guys thought about where we should go.” 

“We were just talking about that and looking at the map, love,” Ash said from across the table.

I nodded “Dad, did you talk to Pyre?”

“Yes, they have already sent out a security information gathering mission. They have shifters working on gathering intel without letting anyone know they are gathering intel. Such as no one would think anything about a polar bear roaming around, or a snowy owl flying about, or an arctic fox, that kind of thing. I’ll check in again in a few days and see if they can tell us anything. If there’s an emergency she’ll contact me.” I nodded. 

“Our thought right now is to keep it on vacation. If we are having a family vacation and we are visiting different places, then it wouldn’t be odd to see us doing just that. We thought Italy and Greece would be good, and even a lot of European countries. If it gets too hot here, as good an idea as the buses are, we might have to reevaluate and head to the US to like Alaska or something like that. We have Siberia, but I’m not sure if the buses would be equipped to travel around much up there.” Ash added to that.

“Okay, it was just what had popped into my head. I had teased Drago that we would end up needing to own a bus with all the kids we had, so I guess this is a self-fulfilling prophecy or some shit. I guess we had already been talking about moving away permanently. I don’t know if this is that really, but I guess we can just take all that as it comes. Have you talked to the village Drago?” 

He nodded, “Yeah, they know they have to coordinate any type of precautions, and they know we are leaving with the whole family.” I nodded again.

“My thought would be, if we have to end up leaving Europe, that we charter a big enough plane to get us to Alaska. There would need to be flight plans and layovers no doubt. So it would all have to be planned. We could have the buses shipped over with not too much headache, that is actually a somewhat done thing, we’d just have to get them to where they could be loaded up on a cargo ship for transport. They can be outfitted for colder weather, I’ve been in one that was. So, now, we get everyone out of here and safe, then we take each day as it comes and keep fluid about plans. We can’t let down our guard, these assholes want a war, so we’re going to have to give them one they never expected.” As David finished speaking, there was a room full of low dragon growls in response.
