I suck in a huge breath and then look at Drago, “Okay, which him, exactly, are you referring to?” 

He shakes his head, “Sorry love, I should have said we found them. I was specifically talking about Christofer Zavitnik.”

She nods her head, “So, did you just find him or did you catch him? So what exactly is going on?”

“We found his location, and we sent another family in due to where he was hiding, he’s been apprehended and he’s’ currently locked up in a maximum security supernatural facility. Braun was moved from the human jail to the supernatural prison system once it was figured out that he wasn’t human. The death was faked so they could evacuate him without raising suspicions.” 

I feel myself deflating at finally knowing that he is in fact put away and not out roaming the streets hurting anyone. I am also glad that his brother has now been taken care of and I no longer feel like I have this axe hanging over my head with them out there. I will just have to know that I’ll never really get answers to my questions. There are just things I have to be content to never know. 

“Thanks for letting me know. I realize we can’t get the other answers, but at least I know that neither of them is out there still hurting people, so that’s a good thing.” I nod at Drago.

He stands up to go back inside and on a sudden impulse I reach out and take his hand, “I mean it Drago, thank you. I know you guys worked this one especially hard because it was me and was associated with me. I want you to know that I did see that and I do appreciate that.”

He smiles a huge smile at me, bends over and kisses the top of my head, “We’d do anything for you that we could.” 

I chose to leave that statement alone as I know that’s not exactly true, but as this was a positive moment, I won’t throw shit all over it. I will address the other issues again soon, just not right now. 

I head back upstairs and fill Isobel in on the status of everything going on, and she gives me a big hug, happy that this dark cloud is no longer hanging over my head. I sit and watch the kids play, Brand doing a commendable job of holding his own with 3 older sisters. 

When Summer finally gets here I feel like a beached whale. The twins will be here any time now, and we found out this is one boy and one girl. So, they were ecstatic about another girl, and I am happy that there’s another boy to join Brand in standing against the sister brigade that’s forming. 

Well now it’s almost the end of July and I am lying in a bed in Dr. Surenka’s clinic. The guys are here with me of course as I’ve just had the twins. The girl I chose to name after my mother Collette, I guess the whole thing a few months ago has really made me think about her, and I just decided I wanted to do that. Drago named the boy so he chose Drako, which I almost had to laugh about, but I refrained, just barely. I mean, he basically named him after himself, which I can kind of see, but it could get very confusing saying their names and people knowing which one we are speaking about.

Currently, I am nursing Collette, and Cinder is holding Drako, whom I fed first, because he was actually crying to be fed, and Collette was happy just sleeping. Now, he’s full so he’s back to sleeping and it was her turn. This is going to be a thing I can already see. 

“They are so beautiful Ria, I can’t get over how tiny they are. I mean I know the girls were even smaller, but they grew so fast, and now here we are with these tiny miracles, and it’s like oh my gosh all over again with the tiny everything.” I kind of smile at Cinder as he gushes while holding Drako. The guys around the room chuckle in response. 

When we get the twins home Isobel is beside herself just gushing all over the babies. I get down and show the girls and Brand the new baby. The girls are extremely excited, but Brand isn’t quite as much. He watches them but they don’t do anything, so he goes back to playing.

We moved the girls into the toddler room and now have several toddler beds for them here. Brand will stay in his crib for just a bit longer and then he will join the girls. I am praying to all that’s holy that no more babies will come along for a very long time, but we shall see. We started birth control shots this time to see if they could possibly work. 

Drago squats down by where I’m sitting with the twins in front of me on baby pillows and watching the others play. I’m curious because he’s got a funny look on his face. I raise my eyebrows like telling him what? 

He clears his throat, “At the festival in a couple of weeks, the Stoicas will be here. I just wanted to give you a heads up so that you weren’t blind sided by their presence.” 

He watches me and I swallow several times so I don’t scream. I know they are probably going to pop up every now and then as they basically belong to the village here, they have a house around here somewhere, but they travel to the US quite a lot, as there’s some family there as well. 

“Just don’t ask me to be civil or to have a conversation with them and I should be able to hold my shit together.” I look at him.

“I’ll see what I can do about that. Sometime in the near future we should probably discuss if we want to think about a 2nd nanny since there are more kids, and possibly more on the way later on.” I almost choke on that. 

“We’ll discuss that when it becomes necessary, but it’s not right now.” I dread trying to find another nanny, Isobel is an angel, but she’s one in a million. He nods and leaves the room with the other guys.

I take a deep breath and let it out slowly. So in 2 weeks I will be faced with the people I hate so very much. I know I can’t avoid the festival, they are huge sticklers about that, so I guess, can I refrain from trying to attack them?
