The guys had ended up leaving all of the emotional meltdown aspects of that night alone. I was extremely glad, honestly.

One very positive development from that night was the change in our bathroom. Rather than just replacing all of the mirrors we took a page from my old bathroom.

Drego hired a painter to create pictures of all of our dragons. Those pictures were then turned into the covers of mirrors, just like the black rose wall medallions I had used. They were a type of cabinet. You could open it if you wanted the mirrors, otherwise it was just the picture.

Also, all of them were oil paintings, and they had no glass, so no reflections. They did buy a few new paintings for the bedroom, but again, no glass or reflective frames. I was very appreciative.

The girls turned 1 and we held their birthday in the big park in town. Too many people wanted to be there. I had several things planned out. Each of the girls had what’s called a “smash cake” or one for them to destroy while another big one gets served to everyone. They were all wearing a “Birthday Girl” onesie.

I had a big kiddie pool brought in, so when they were completely covered in frosting, we pulled off the onesies and then let them get in the pool and have fun helping clean them off. It had all worked really well.

One thing that shocked the shit out of everyone was that my dragon came out. The girls never hesitated for a second, the moment she lay down in front of them, they climbed all over her loving it. She kissed on them and cleaned off frosting, and purred for them. I will say it was kind of cute, even though I don’t like her. Townspeople were enamored, as none of them had ever seen her.

Even though he was only a few months old, Brand reached a tiny baby hand out to her as well. Drago was holding on to him while my dragon carefully lowered her head to him, I was thinking that having this big creature in his face would garner tears, but he just babbled and reached out a tiny hand to her. So, I guess, the kids can sense their mom in this big white dragon.

We actually had a relatively quiet summer. The kids were all growing, the girls running around everywhere and into everything. Some days are better than others. The guys have been working with the other dragon families, but so far I haven’t had to interact with them.

Christmas is in a few days, and it’s been harder this year. I have hated Christmas ever since I lost my family. It was a huge deal there, and we went nuts decorating and celebrating everything. Cin and I had Christmas movie marathons and spent days out shopping for gifts.

Here the staff decorates the house. I couldn’t face it last year, and I tried this year and I had a total meltdown and decided that it isn’t something I can do anymore.

I spent time with the guys working on buying gifts for the kids. They are going to have a huge amount of fun with everything this year. With them being bigger this year, the interaction level will be huge. No doubt they will be trying to pull Brand into it, but at not quite a year old, not sure how much he will actually be able to participate with them.

Now, it’s the end of January and I am in the solarium. Normally, no matter what the weather is like, I’m out in the garden. However, today the wind is blowing, it’s snowing heavily, and the temperature is below 0, so it’s the solarium. Not sure why it is, but if ever my heart is hurting and I need to chill, it’s to the garden and nature I go.

The guys were watching me closely the last couple of days, so I know they realize the same as me. I’m pregnant again. I had thought we were doing really well with the pills, nothing for almost a year now after Brand’s birth. Well, that came crashing to a halt, I guess I should be glad of the whole year, almost, but now I have 4 children and Brand’s birthday is just a couple of weeks away.

So, he’ll be just past 18 months, and the girls will be just over 2 when we add at least one more. Lord help me, if it’s ever another set of 3. I did take another test just to be sure what my body and my nose have been telling me already, and it showed 2 lines very quickly. I will have to tell the guys at dinner tonight. No doubt they will be excited.

“I'm sure you guys already know, but yes, I'm pregnant again.” I didn't look just fed Brand.

Drago looked at me, I could see him from the corner of my eye, “Yeah, we know. We'll need to touch base with Dr. Surenka. I know to you it's like, " Oh, dear god another pregnancy, but to us dragons as a whole, it's like holy shit, she's actually pregnant again with the happy face. To a species as a whole that hadn't seen a birth in years, you are an absolute miracle.”

I chose to stay quiet and not add my 2 cents to that. Although later that night I brought up something I had thought of repeatedly, but just didn't mention.

I was sitting on the couch in our room staring at the fire, which I do every day, and the guys have taken to sitting in various places around the room with me.

“Why don't you guys take a mistress, or mistresses, depending. It would help your dragons not need me so much.”

I looked around at all of them, who looked at me with total shock written on their faces, “I'm not asking to be a bitch, I've just thought about it for a long time, and just never brought it up. I haven't been around dragons before you guys, so I wondered.”

Drago cleared his throat, “We couldn't do that. As mated dragons, we can only be with our mate. Our dragons would never allow us to touch someone else. Not to mention if we ever attempted such a thing your dragon would kill her.”

I kept my face a practiced blank, “Oh, okay, that's good to know. When the kids start learning about dragons I should sit in the classes with them.”

The guys nodded, but I saw a lot of looks cast my way, and they seemed hurt that I would suggest such a thing, but that's just stupid. In my opinion, why the hell wouldn't I?

So, now, what the hell do I have to endure next?
