Drago is now looking around the table at his children. I understand that this has to be hard as a dominant male, and the head of the family, to basically tuck your tail between your legs and let them all know that you were wrong. However, I must admit right now as pissed off as I am at them I am rather enjoying this whole thing. Not to mention, it is great knowing my grandkids are so damn smart. 

“Okay, so now you know no Royal Dragons, and that of course has already led to the whole thing of any dragon can be gifted, and now, dragons can mate with any other species, it doesn’t have to be a dragon.” He watched the faces around the table. 

Most of them were not of the age to care too awfully much truthfully, but I saw Brand hone in on Ria immediately, and I saw her shake her head at him. Evidently, my grandson knew quite a bit, and he was protective of his mother, which was awesome, but it seemed it was probably also something she was trying to balance. Between how much she told her son, or how much he knew, versus the very ugly truth?

“Okay, for this next part, I want to take you all out to the meadow. Your mom said that’s where you go to shift. Now, seeing as it might be uncomfortable for all of you guys, I was sneaky and asked Victor for a favor earlier. There are two dividers stretched out there. So, if you want to go behind them to shift, so your siblings don’t see you naked, it’s there as an option. The other thing will be, Ria I need you to bring Hope, and all the other little ones out to the meadow as well.” 

She tilted her head but nodded. Then she got up to go to the nursery no doubt to get the kids, and probably had the nannies come to help carry and corral the kids as well. So, by the time we got out to the meadow, there were a lot of us. So, it was a bit chaotic. 

“Okay, for those of you kids who already have your dragon, and can, call them, and shift for us, so we can all be introduced, and I can get a feel for all of them.” 

Several went behind the sheets that had been made into impromptu dividers, to strip and shift. Right now at this age, with this being fairly new, I knew that some of them would take a bit, so that’s why I wanted to have this whole afternoon to do this. I heard a few exclamations as shifts began and their bodies were still adjusting to the change. 

Ria was walking out carrying Hope, who saw all of us and of course, displayed that awesome baby energy that was so endearing. I went up to her and she giggled, and put her hands on my cheeks, and just as I knew he would, my dragon pushed forward to greet her, and she was very excited. 

“Okay, Ria, hon, don’t get mad at me if some of the kids end up ruining some clothes okay.” She smiled and nodded, not really sure what I was about to do, and I loved that I was about to blow all of their minds completely. 

I took Hope in my arms and then I went to the kids who weren’t shifting but were hanging around, and as soon as they saw Hope they smiled, and she laughed with them. Then when I got close I would say, “Don’t reach for her really. I want you to let her touch you, and whatever happens, just go with it, but be prepared for your dragon to surge forward and you might spontaneously shift okay.” Several nodded but looked wide-eyed.

I started at Heather and would work my way down. Heather smiled at her sister, and she’d heard what I’d said so she didn’t reach to take her from me. I watched as Hope got a serious look on her face and honed in on her sister, then she leaned forward and touched her cheeks, then laughed, when Heather’s dragon surged and she started to shift. 

One by one I went through all of them, and every single one of them had their dragon surge forward, and they started to shift. When I got to Jeremy and Dillion, I heard Ria, “Dad, even that young? Is it too early for them to have to control them?”

“No, I am more worried right now about them being caught completely defenseless and vulnerable. With the dragons and them being this small, there I’m sure, there will be some issues with control stuff, but I think it’s going to be worth it.” She nodded and sat on the grass with her 4 youngest and me. 

Dillion just looked at her, he didn’t even need her to touch him, and his dragon was on its way out, Jeremy was kind of wondering why his sister wanted to touch him, and then there was a baby dragon. Then Sarah almost lunged to meet Hope and it was amusing watching them almost do baby hugs. That melted my heart. 

In the end, we had a whole field of dragons, several of which were very small dragons, who couldn’t fly yet, but were hopping around and playing with each other. It was hilarious I had to admit.

“Okay, that is one of the cutest things I have ever seen. I have never in my days seen a baby dragon. This is amazing.” Monica was down with the littlest dragons. 

She screamed, " Ouch, and I looked down to see Dillon's dragon hop down off her lap, and her finger was bleeding from where he had bitten her. “Well, his teeth work.” 

Suddenly there was a cacophony of sound, and we all looked up. Birds were landing all around the trees framing the meadow, and then I saw a pack of wolves that was running towards the meadow, and they stopped and started pacing back and forth at the edge. They wanted to come closer but their instinct was to avoid the people and the large dangerous animals. 

Ria squatted down and looked at Sarah, then she held out her arms, “Well Sarah, should we go and greet the friends you asked to come and see you love?” 

The dragon jumped up and Ria caught her. There was some maneuvering to get her secure in Ria’s arms where she wasn’t clawing Ria, but wasn’t afraid she would fall. Then Ria walked over to greet all of the animals. So, apparently, Sarah had the affinity as well, but this was massive.

Now, I needed to greet all the dragons and feel for their abilities if I could feel them yet.
