I am sitting in the garden, which is a fairly common occurrence, and right now it is spring and everything is green and growing. Mari is doing very well, and in fact, has decided to go home with the Diamanis and try to make things work. They have spent almost a year working with her to get to this point, so we are happy to see her happy at last. She still has bad days, and I applaud Nicholas and his brothers for their steadfastness in helping her through those without pushing. 

Mari also had a very hard time while grieving for Desi, and she also went through some grieving for Elizabeth, though I remain completely convinced that she is fine, and alive, the fact that she has never been found, and we have never heard a word this whole time, leads some of the family to think she is dead. I refuse to believe that without proof.

Right at this second I am actually watching Paulo and Santino Escarra talk to Nicholetta in Spanish. She has inherited my memory, and as such she is constantly wanting to learn new things, and languages are one of the things she loves. I never want to test my children for hyperthymesia, as I don’t care if they have it or not. If they are intelligent then it just helps them in life. I was labeled a freak too many times once I had that designation, so I chose to never put that on them. The guys, once they learned that is what my super brain thing is actually called, agreed to not push the issue. 

So, she has discovered that the Escarras are great to practice both her Spanish, and her Portuguese, as they fluently speak both. She is right now 9, so there would not be anything to develop between them potentially for many years to come. This however, was what I was hoping for. Even if nothing ever comes as far as mates go, just to interact with each other, and cross over this whole fucked up family boundaries bull shit, would be a huge step in the right direction. 

I hear someone shouting my name and I turn to see Drago coming towards me very quickly. At first, I am scared that something is wrong, and it’s one of the children, but when I really look at his face, he’s smiling, which he most assuredly wouldn’t do if there was something wrong. So, I stand up and meet him as he comes to me.

“I need you to come with me right now, I have something extremely exciting to show you.” I look at him funny, but I can feel the waves of happiness and excitement flowing off of him, so I nod and just follow him into the house. 

We end up at his office, and he actually reaches down and takes my hand. I am startled at him doing so, but due to whatever is going on I decide just to go with it for right now. He opens the door and pulls me inside. Up on the wall on the huge screen are people, and I almost fall on my ass as soon as I realize it’s Elizabeth.

“Oh god, Eli, my Eli, it’s you” I know I try to say something else, but I dissolve into tears and I am sure no one could understand anything beyond that. Drago caught me the second my legs gave out and he helped me sit between him and Ash on the couch. 

I see Eli is crying as well, and there is a handsome man next to her that looks to have some native or First Nations blood as I have learned they prefer to be called, and she is leaning against him. I am trying desperately to get a hold of myself.

“Does Mari know? We need to bring Mari down here as well.” I tell Drago beside me.

“We will love, but right now, this is just for you and Elizabeth, and the wonderful news she has for you, and all of us. We have a huge amount of things to talk about, but let her just do this for right this second.” I look at him funny.

Then I turn to Elizabeth who now has the biggest smile, then she and the man beside her both hold up two tiny bundles, and I realize they are babies, they are her babies, they are my grandbabies. She has babies, so the man beside her must be her mate, oh my god, this is amazing, and surprising, and all sorts of shit.

I have my hands over my mouth as tears of joy run down my face, “I knew you were alive. I felt you. I knew if anyone would have a plan and be able to make it, it would be you. My bold, brave, daughter, who stood up for herself. I am so incredibly proud of you. And now look, you’re a mom. Oh my gosh, I am going to turn into a puddle of goo and just be a mess. I love you baby, just, I love you.” I was trying desperately to get a hold of myself. 

Drago and Ash folded me into their arms just supporting me while I fell apart. There was so much to say and I had no idea where to start, “There’s so much I need to tell you, baby.” 

Drago interrupts me, “She already knows sweetheart. After you have a few moments to speak with her, we are going to pull in Mari and let her see her, and then talk for a few moments. Then the Escarras are going to come in here, and the Diamani’s are going to join the call, and Elizabeth is there with the Landrys. There are a lot of things we need to talk about, but we wanted you to have some time just to see her and talk to her, with nothing else being discussed.” I looked at him, and for the first time in years, I actually kissed him gently for his thoughtfulness. He beamed a huge smile at me. 

“So, what are my grandbabies' names?” Elizabeth laughed, 

“Her name is Adria, and his name is Denali.” I choked up because the little girl's name was the beginning of my name, just without the last part.

This was going to be one hell of a day.
