I knew this was going to get messy. I wasn’t as naive as my sisters, I already knew that they were going to try something with me before we even got off this plane. Let’s face it, it’s a long trip, even by plane from Romania, to the Northwest Territories of Canada. Michael Landry had sat next to me and tried to talk to me. I had given him a scathing look.

“Look, I am very aware of what you are trying to do, and what you probably have planned to do to me. Just know this. If you rape me, and force yourselves on me, drug me, or anything. Be prepared to watch your back, because if you do any of those things, I’m not the weak, forgiving, simpering person you may think. I will fucking kill you, and I will probably smile while I do it. So, if you have something planned, just be prepared for the consequences. Don’t test me, you will lose.”

His jaw was on the floor, “You would threaten the life of your own mate?”

I laughed and it was a dark and ugly laugh, “You have so not been paying attention if you have to fucking ask me that. Yes, I would not only threaten, but I would end the life of an unwanted mate. You all dragged me here, I have made no secret of my revulsion of you. So, just because your ego couldn’t accept the big huge fucking No I kept throwing at you. That’s not my fault.”

He gave me a very pissed-off look and went and sat down with his brothers. They were speaking and arguing, they were speaking in French a lot, so I didn’t understand the words, what I did understand was the tone. They didn’t believe me. So, time to explain that I don’t bluff. 

I got into my bag and pulled out my gun. My brother Brand had helped me to procure this from our fathers’ stash, so I had been prepared. He had kept my secret, in fact, he kept all of our secrets. No one knew that he was very much aware of what was happening to all of us, and the whole fucking mess. He actually told me he thought something similar had happened to our mother. He had heard them arguing a few times when they were attempting to be very quiet, but he had heard some, enough to know that our mother was not with our fathers by choice. It had something to do with the bracelet she always wore. It basically kept her a prisoner. I wished I could fix it for her, but before I could do anything, I had to protect my own ass.” 

When they turned around and Michael came back over to speak to me he saw what I had and froze in his tracks, “You brought a gun on a plane, are you insane?"

“Well, that depends on your definition. Am I willing to kill all of us to keep you from laying a hand on me, why yes, yes I am. Like I have told you all for years, I would not be compliant. I would not simply lie down and allow you to violate me simply because you couldn’t take no for an answer. I am not a walking womb. I am not a baby factory. In fact, you should know that I have taken care of it, and I will not be having children at all, ever.”

“What the fuck are you speaking about?” Michael was getting very angry with me, as were his brothers.

“I have no womb. I had it removed. My father overheard our plans, but he thought it was just talk. He didn’t know we already had a plan in place. Unfortunately, only I was able to actually have the procedure done before the doctor chickened out. So, there’s nothing there to hold a child, yours or anyone else's, ever.” I smiled a truly evil smile at them as they looked at me livid. 

“You knew that we were going to mate you for children. Our people are on the brink of extinction, and you would do this?”

“Yes, as I said. I’m not a womb for sale. My fathers may have thought we would allow ourselves to be sold like common cattle, but they were very much mistaken. Go knock up someone else, and leave me the fuck alone. We’re not mated, so, go and fuck someone else. You never asked us our opinion on the whole transaction. You never thought once to ask our permission, we were not real people to you, the only thing we were was a hole to fuck and a womb to pop out unwanted babies. I’m not a woman who could tolerate an unwanted baby, so even if I were to become pregnant, I would make sure I lost it. I will never bear a child for you, or anyone now. So deal the fuck with it like we were told to do.” 

“You are an evil woman. You would be selfish and condemn a whole people to extinction?” one of the brothers asked, I had no idea what their names even were. I only knew Michael because he’d told me. 

“It’s not evil to protect yourself. Let me tell you what is evil. Evil is planning to rape and imprison a woman simply because you want to fuck her and knock her up. Evil is never giving any thought or consideration to the thoughts or feelings of those women. You never even considered us people. We were objects. We were dry goods. We were livestock. We were never people. If we had been, then our tears, our distress, and our refusal would have mattered to you. Evil is how you have treated me and my sisters since before we were even born. If you want to know what evil is, look in the mirror mother fucker!”

There were no words expressed for the remainder of this very long flight. Another thing I had at the ready were energy shots, and energy drinks. I would make sure I was awake for this whole trip. I would not allow them one single second to get the drop on me or to alter my plans.
