Treasure Of Dragons, Royal Dragons Book 1 Chapter 136
Ria
“Okay Constantine, you know the old adage, “Follow The Money” well we need to know how they are living, they are moving around a lot, so is this money that they both already had, and if so is it stashed somewhere. I know that Braun’s family is well connected, what I don’t know is how much of that was and is legit, and how much bullshit.”
He jumped on his computer terminal, “Okay, now, we can trace the names of the family members, if he is still in contact with them, that could lead us to him or Christofer, and give us a trail to follow for location.”
I watched all of the guys and David sat there watching me with a smile on their faces. I knew they were as anxious to end this as I was. When I had seen all of the airplane ticket purchases, and I saw he was going back and forth to Broken Bow, I knew there was something very wrong. He should never have been associated with that place.
Then I had pulled up articles and found out that the drug dealer who was supposedly arrested for Cin’s murder had been released on a technicality. Then when I hacked his finances I saw two huge deposits, right when Cin was murdered. So, if Braun went to Broken Bow, huge amounts of money went to this guy, and then he got released on a stupid technicality, I knew it was all smoke and mirrors. Cin had not been killed by that guy, or even if he actually physically did the killing, he was paid to do so by Braun. This meant Braun had caught up with my trail, at least to Broken Bow.
That led me to pull up more articles, and finding one that said the fire that had killed Marcus and severely burned Elija, was arson. So, if he killed Cin, why wouldn’t I think he was behind the arson of my two foster brothers? So, then I started hunting for news about Beth.
That Senator son of a bitch had said it was a heart attack, I got into the news articles, then hacked the medical reports, then came face to face with finding traces of ketamine in her blood. There should have been no reason for that drug to have been found in her system. She hadn’t had surgery, so a heavy-duty anesthetic, used to put people out during surgery, wouldn't have been something just prescribed to her. However, it would be easy to give enough of that shit to someone to stop their heart, and their breathing. So, once again, it didn’t amount to natural death. So, once again, I looked, and Braun had flown into Kalisbel Montana, where Beth had retreated to, two days before Beth was found deceased.
He had always told me he would take everyone away from me, so obviously he was still trying to do that. However, I was no longer a helpless child caught under his thumb. No, now, I had dragons to back me up. Not to mention I had a dragon of my own. So, this time there would be none of his usual fucked up shit. No, this time it would be me who exacted my vengeance on him.
He had no clue of the hell I was about to rain down on his fucking head. I revelled in the thought of it. I wanted him dead.

I watched my daughter work her magic. I was not in any way shape or form half as computer savvy as she was. What she did boggled my mind. She was typing away, jumping from that to that, and Constantine was trying to keep up.
“She’s amazing at that isn’t she?” I heard Drago and turned to see him watching her.
“I noticed the bracelet is gone, so good work on getting rid of it. Now, I don’t have to kick your ass. Well, at least not today, no guarantee about tomorrow.” He nodded at that.
“You were right, it was way past time to fix that shit. It was way past time to fix a lot of shit.” I nodded in response, because that statement was beyond correct.
“So, after all of our lovely truth bombs yesterday, what do you honestly think the town will do once they not only have the reins, but are faced with no more segregation of the dragons from the rest of the world?” I heard him sigh.
“Honestly, I don’t know. I also can’t worry about it. I worried about that very thing for way too long, and I did that at the expense of my mate and family, so, this time they have to take care of themselves. Millions of people, other supernaturals included, do that every day. Towns take care of their own shit every day. So, I have to take my hands off of it, and put them where they should have been, taking care of my family.”
I smiled and patted him on the back, “Glad to see you removing your head from your ass. It gives me hope that things can improve. I would say that I very much think your idea of leaving is in the best interest of said family. This town is so ingrained into the belief of you and your family needing to lead them down the garden path, that they will constantly try to pull you back into that role if you are here. So, to truly break that, and to truly make it where you guys sucked into bulshit, a new location is best. Not to mention, she really does hate those people, but it’s understandable.”
“Last night we all told her that we would let her decide where she wants to go, and then we’ll get things set up to make that happen, whatever we need to do. It might take some creative thinking to house this many kids, but we’ll make it work.” I chuckled at that, cause yeah, this many needed a lot of space.
Then I heard Constantine’s voice, “Hey everyone, I just got an alert on my proximity warning system.”
