My Possessive Alpha Twins For Mate Chapter 262
Logan's POV
Our gazes remained locked as I leaned in and captured Lia’s lips. The kiss began soft, reverent, but that gentleness was quickly consumed by the fire building between us. Words had never been my strength, but this—I could show her how much she meant to me like this. She welcomed me eagerly, parting her lips so I could deepen the kiss. Her taste was intoxicating. I couldn’t get enough. I didn’t want to stop. Neither did my wolf. Fang was straining forward, clawing at the surface, and I knew my eyes had shifted—those silver swirls that revealed everything I felt.
Lia’s hands tangled in my hair, anchoring me to her as she pressed herself closer. My arousal throbbed, unmistakable now as it strained against her stomach. Sliding a hand beneath her thighs, I gripped the curve of her ass and lifted her easily. She instinctively wrapped her legs around my waist, pulling me in, but it still wasn’t enough.
I backed her into the wall, pinning her between me and the cool surface, desperate to erase every inch of space between us. She was grinding against me, and I could feel her heat, her arousal seeping through her leggings and dampening my jeans. The sheer want radiating off her only intensified my need.
I grabbed a fistful of her hair and tugged her head back, exposing her neck to my hungry mouth. I kissed and nipped my way down to that tender spot between her shoulder and collarbone, laving the skin with my tongue before sucking hard. She was going to be covered in my marks, and the thought had Fang practically preening. My canines extended, brushing against her skin, aching to claim her. She moaned, rolling her hips frantically, completely lost in the heat of the moment. Goddess, I wanted to mark her—crave it—but I couldn’t, not without Liam here. Still, the desire burned like wildfire.
I was close—too close—and I could feel she was right there with me. But just as we teetered on the edge, a voice intruded, slicing through the haze.
“Alpha, rogues approaching the western border!”
Bastian’s voice cracked through the link.
“Shit. I’m coming.”
I severed the connection and reluctantly pulled away, setting Lia gently on her feet. Both of us were breathless, chests rising and falling in unison. I rested my forehead against hers for a moment, grounding myself.
“I’m sorry, baby girl. Bastian just reported rogue activity near the border. I have to go.”
She cupped my cheek, her voice calm and understanding. “Don’t apologize. Your pack’s safety comes first, Logan. Go handle it—and be careful.”
Her response only made me fall harder. She was everything a Luna should be—and more.
“Thank you,” I whispered, pressing a kiss to her forehead before turning toward the door. But I couldn’t resist one final tease.
“Don’t think I’ve forgotten about that spanking I owe you,” I said with a wink and left before I gave in again.
Even with the threat waiting at the border, the image of the blush I knew would be lighting up her cheeks had me smiling all the way there.
By the time I arrived, the rogues had already fled. A few of our warriors had chased them into the woods, but none were caught. My beta joined me in tracking, hoping we’d uncover some clue as to why they were here.
Rogues could be driven by anything—from hunger to chaos. If they were merely looking for food, they’d likely move on after meeting our defenses. But if they were feral or had a mission… they could be a real threat. One I couldn’t allow near my people.
We found nothing. Around two in the morning, Bastian and I called it a night. I trudged back to my SUV, bone-tired, already longing for Lia. She’d probably fallen asleep hours ago, and I didn’t blame her.
Back home, I showered quickly, threw on sweatpants, and crossed the hall. I could only hope she’d left her door unlocked.
The knob turned easily.
I grinned.
She left it open—for me.
As my eyes adjusted to the dark, the sight of her hit me like a freight train. She was lying on her side, blankets tossed aside, wearing one of my shirts—one that had ridden up to just beneath her breasts. Her flat stomach was exposed, along with that perfect, round ass barely covered by a delicate strip of lace. My breath caught. My cock hardened instantly.
I climbed in beside her, wrapping myself around her warmth, pulling her body against mine like I’d craved all day.
The next morning, I woke to find the bed empty, though the sheets still held her warmth. Light leaked from under the bathroom door. She wasn’t far.
A part of me wanted to drag her right back into bed and finish what we’d started. But I knew her. She’d want to train.
And honestly, I needed it too.
Liam and I had been absent too often this past week. The pack needed to see us—present, committed. And I needed to work off this nervous energy, because tonight, I was taking Lia out.
We had breakfast in the dining hall after training, surrounded by pack members. I kept watching her, searching for any hint of nerves, but she was all smiles and laughter. Effortless.
Meanwhile, I was internally spiraling.
Maybe she was more experienced than me when it came to dating. That thought irritated me, so I shoved it away.
Once we parted ways to prepare, I stood in front of the mirror and gave myself a mental slap.
Come on, Logan. Pull it together.
You’re an Alpha, not some awkward teenager. But truthfully… when it came to her, I was both.
I never had to win a woman over before. Being Alpha had always been enough. I hadn’t cared about connection—just convenience.
Now I had the one woman I’d fight the world for… and no clue how to keep her.
I dressed in a pair of worn jeans and a black button-up, sleeves rolled to my elbows. I raked a hand through my hair, leaving it tousled. It would have to do.
Naia had packed the picnic like I asked, and everything was ready.
I walked to Lia’s room, heart racing like a fool, and knocked.
The moment the door opened, she took my breath away—again.
She stood in a forest green sundress that flowed over her curves like it had been made for her. Her soft waves shimmered in the light, and those blue eyes were brighter than ever. She wore little makeup, but she didn’t need it.
“Wow… you’re stunning, baby girl.”
She smiled sweetly, eyes dancing. “You’re looking pretty good yourself, hot stuff.”
“Oh yeah?” I leaned closer, my breath brushing her ear. “You like what you see, little wolf?”
She shivered, and I smirked. She gave my chest a playful swat, but I caught her hand and pressed a kiss to her wrist, twining our fingers.
Then I led her out the door—where the real adventure would begin.
