My Possessive Alpha Twins For Mate Chapter 265
Dahlia’s POV
The entire ride back, I coaxed Logan into telling me everything about his parents. My nerves tangled with excitement at the thought of meeting them. Part of me was uneasy — I hadn’t officially accepted our bond yet, and I knew all too well how fiercely protective parents could be, especially when they sensed their child’s heart was vulnerable. Still, I couldn’t shake the thrill of meeting the people who had raised my mates. The fact that their fathers were once my dad’s best friend gave me hope. That connection alone told me they had to be good people.
Once we arrived at the pack house, Logan and I wasted no time getting ready. After a quick shower, I chose a maroon dress — fitted through the bodice with a flared, skater-style skirt, complete with the kind of deep, convenient pockets a girl could never resist. I slipped into my brown strappy sandals, the ones with the chunky heel, and by the time I finished drying my long curls, I heard Logan’s footsteps entering the room.
We’d long passed the need for locked doors.
With no time left for much makeup, I hurriedly swept on a coat of mascara and dabbed some pale pink gloss onto my lips. Just as I capped the tube, I caught sight of Logan’s reflection lingering in the bathroom doorway. His expression was unreadable, but his gaze was locked on me.
“Liam just linked me,” he said finally. “They’ll be here in five minutes. You ready to meet them?”
“As ready as I’ll ever be,” I replied, masking my nerves with a flash of confidence I didn’t fully feel.
Logan had explained that he and Liam were waiting until the entire family was gathered before breaking the news about finding their mate, and though I wasn’t entirely sure how his parents would react, the anticipation hung heavy in the air. And given it was close to dinner time, there was always a chance other pack members might be nearby.
Our relationship wasn’t exactly a secret at this point — but it wasn’t something I was ready to publicly declare, either. I could only hope we wouldn’t draw too much attention.
Logan’s fingers wove through mine, grounding me as he guided me down to the first floor. Once we reached the foyer, he tugged me close, tucking me into his side while we waited. Every time I glanced up at him, I caught the same wide, boyish grin stretching across his face.
The front door creaked open, and my breath hitched — only to deflate the moment Rowena stepped inside, a small roller bag trailing behind her. I realized then I hadn’t seen her in a few days. Her guilty glance flicked between us, but she said nothing, choosing instead to scurry off without a word.
Moments later, the door swung open again — this time Liam stormed through, his voice blending with the chatter of three couples trailing in behind him. I hardly registered their faces before Liam dropped the bags he was carrying and swept me up into his arms, lifting me clean off the floor.
He held me tightly, burying his face against my neck, breathing me in like he hadn’t seen me in years.
“Goddess, I missed you, Angel,” he murmured. “Next time, you’re coming with me — or I’m not going at all.”
I was just starting to feel the lack of oxygen when a deliberate throat-clear sounded behind us, breaking the moment. Slowly, Liam loosened his hold, though he kept me snugly pressed against him, his arms still a protective cage around me. Logan slid in beside us, reclaiming my hand, standing shoulder to shoulder.
And then my eyes finally met theirs — his parents.
The instant I saw them, everything about the twins’ striking looks made perfect sense. Their mother was, quite honestly, the most breathtaking she-wolf I’d ever seen. Long chocolate waves cascaded all the way to her waist, and those unmistakable seafoam green eyes — the same ones I’d come to know so intimately over the last week and a half — blinked back at me.
She was petite and slender, standing in stark contrast to her mates, who towered over her. Their fathers were built like the twins, only broader, with jet-black hair and piercing crystal-blue eyes. Aside from the hair color, their features mirrored their sons so perfectly it felt like I was staring at future reflections: the same sharp cheekbones, the same strong jawlines, the same nose. Genetics had clearly favored this family — even Blue, my wolf, purred in agreement.
Their mother’s sharp gaze drifted over us, her voice laced with suspicion and curiosity. “Boys, is there something you want to tell your dads and me?”
I flicked a glance at Logan — his smile hadn’t budged.
“Mom, Dad,” Liam began, his voice brimming with pride, “this is Dahlia. Our mate.”
The weight of his words hung between us, and my heart fluttered as his voice wrapped around my name. Then he turned to me, his arm still possessively around my waist.
“Lia, meet Caden, Caleb, and Lilith Ashford — our parents.”
Shyness prickled at my skin as I extended my hand. “It’s so nice to meet you all.”
But before my hand ever found theirs, Lilith surged forward, pulling me out of Liam’s grasp and into hers. She clutched me tightly, her voice breaking into a prayerful whisper.
“Oh, sweet Moon Goddess, thank you,” she breathed, tears spilling freely down her cheeks. She leaned back just enough to study my face, though her arms stayed firmly locked around me. “We’ve waited so long for them to find you. And you’re even more beautiful than I imagined.”
Heat rushed to my cheeks — blushing was fast becoming a habit I couldn’t control.
A deep, warm voice chimed in. “Lilith, do you think I might have a turn hugging my future daughter-in-law? Besides, you’re embarrassing the poor girl.” That was Caleb, his tone playful yet rich with affection.
Finally, Lilith relinquished her hold, and Caleb stepped in, enveloping me in a hug that felt achingly familiar — the same strength, the same warmth, just without the electric sparks that danced between me and the twins. It felt like... family.
When he pulled back, his eyes searched mine.
“Wait — Dahlia? As in Dahlia Sterling?” he asked.
I nodded, swallowing the lump in my throat, too emotional to trust my voice. Logan and Liam wasted no time reclaiming their positions, pulling me back between them as if they’d reached their limit on sharing me for the evening.
“Oberon’s daughter?” Lilith’s voice wavered, her gaze darting between her mates. When Caden gave a small nod of confirmation, her expression darkened with mock indignation.
“You mean to tell me you met this lovely girl nearly two weeks ago at Crystal Moon and didn’t tell us? You found your Luna and kept it to yourselves?”
Logan’s smile faltered, his voice raspy. “We wanted to surprise you.”
Beside me, Liam shifted awkwardly, and I could barely suppress my amusement.
“You’re enjoying this a little too much, Angel,” Liam whispered against my ear, his tone low and full of promise. “I might have to make you pay for that later.”
The smirk vanished from my face in an instant. Judging by the look on their fathers’ faces — particularly the knowing smile Caden wore — they’d heard every word.
Just kill me now.
Logan, mercifully, stepped in. “Let’s head to dinner. The pack will be excited to see you back.”
Lilith looped her arm through mine, already steering me away. “Yes, let’s go. I want to get to know my new daughter over dinner.”
She led us to a quieter corner table, away from the large, central gathering space we usually claimed. The message was clear: this would be a private conversation. An interrogation, more likely.
And honestly? I couldn’t blame them. If the roles were reversed, I’d want to know everything about the person who’d captured my sons’ hearts — especially when those sons happened to be the Alphas of the pack.
