My Possessive Alpha Twins For Mate Chapter 355
Dahlia’s POV
I already knew Liam could sing—his performance during that unforgettable karaoke night months ago had left a lasting impression. But Logan? I’d never heard him sing before. Still, it made sense. They were twins after all. What truly astonished me, though, was the sheer effort both of them put in just to show me how much I meant to them. They never stopped surprising me. The fact that they had planned such a heartfelt surprise, and that every word of that song had been sung with sincerity, made the gesture all the more profound.
The crowd erupted with cheers following Nikolai’s announcement, and I felt my cheeks heat up. One of these days, I was going to have to talk to him about his flair for embarrassing me in public—but not tonight. Tonight, I would let it slide. I nestled deeper into Logan’s embrace as he carried me away from the celebration. A warm throb pulsed low in my belly, anticipation tightening inside me for what the night might hold.
I was so wrapped up in desire-laced thoughts that I almost didn’t realize—I had no clue where we were going.
“Where are we headed?” I asked, tilting my head to glance up at them in confusion.
“You’ll see, Angel,” Liam replied, flashing a wickedly playful grin.
“The two of you are just full of surprises tonight,” I said with mock annoyance, letting out a soft huff.
Logan’s chest rumbled beneath me with barely restrained laughter. I wriggled in his arms, pretending to want down, but he only tightened his hold on me.
“Oh no, baby girl,” he murmured, his eyes smoldering as they met mine. “This hot little body of yours stays right here until I say otherwise.” I let out a theatrical grunt of disapproval, but in truth, his words sent a delicious thrill racing through me.
We left the packhouse, cutting through the back garden and heading east, deep into the forest. The cool night air soothed my flushed skin, and the scent of damp earth mingled with that of my mates—intoxicating, masculine, familiar. My wolf stirred happily inside me, her energy swelling through me until my whole body vibrated with excitement.
The forest eventually opened into a wide clearing, and there, nestled in the center, was the most enchanting log cabin I’d ever seen. A wide wraparound porch hugged the structure, complete with a porch swing on one side and a cozy seating area on the other, both crafted from beautifully knotted wood.
“When? How? What is this place?” I stammered, unable to decide which question to ask first. Logan gently set me down, tucking me securely against his side as Liam came up to my other.
“Welcome home, Mrs. Ashford,” Liam whispered into my ear, his voice husky with emotion. “Do you like it?”
“It’s beautiful,” I breathed, barely able to form the words through the awe filling me.
“Are you sure?” Logan asked, still watching me intently. “Because if it’s not everything you want, we’ll find another purpose for it and build you a new one.”
“Like hell you will!” I nearly shouted, incredulous. “You’re not giving away my dream home!”
Their relief was instant, followed quickly by eager smiles as they laced their fingers through mine and led me up onto the porch and inside.
Room by room, they showed me every detail. Each space was more perfect than the last. Somehow, the open-concept layout still managed to feel like a warm, welcoming haven. The decor matched my taste so precisely, it was as if the cabin had been pulled straight from my imagination.
“It’s everything I’ve ever wanted,” I said in amazement. “But we never talked about this—how did you pull it off?”
“We had a little help,” Liam admitted, rubbing the back of his neck. “Turns out Isolde knows you pretty damn well.”
“She helped you?” I asked, surprised.
She had been here all week, busy with ceremony preparations, and not once had she let this slip. Isolde had never been the best at keeping secrets, but clearly I had underestimated her.
“She was a huge help,” Liam continued, his expression softening. “And I think it was good for her… a distraction, after the rejection.”
My heart clenched. I knew he empathized with her pain. She had confided in me about rejecting her mate, though she never offered details. She hadn’t wanted to burden me when I had so much going on. Guilt stirred, but I pushed it away. I wouldn’t let it taint this moment.
“I’m so glad you included her. I know what I like, but I hate the process. She loves it—and she’s clearly gifted.”
“You haven’t seen the best part yet!” Liam exclaimed, practically bouncing as he pulled me down a hallway opposite the living area. Logan followed, mirroring his brother’s excitement.
At the end of the hall stood a door, and together, they flung it open with a triumphant “ta-da!”
The air left my lungs in a rush.
It was a bedroom. Our bedroom. And it was absolutely stunning.
Vaulted ceilings soared above us, warm wooden beams giving the space an intimate feel. Floor-to-ceiling windows revealed a breathtaking view of the forest and distant mountains, with thick, elegant curtains ready to draw when needed. A massive stone fireplace crackled in the corner, facing a plush chaise lounge big enough for the three of us to curl up on together. A staircase made of the same knotted wood as the front door led up to a loft that wrapped along the back and side wall. Even from here, I could see shelves of books lining the walls, with overstuffed chairs and soft cushions creating the perfect reading nook.
But the centerpiece was the bed—an enormous custom piece positioned against the far wall. I didn’t want to imagine what it had cost. Covered in a thick, luxurious white duvet and rustic throw pillows, it radiated comfort and indulgence. A fur blanket draped across the foot of the bed, inviting and soft, and my imagination instantly supplied images of how it would feel against my bare skin while my mates worshipped my body.
Two low growls rumbled through the room, dark and possessive, as the scent of my arousal thickened the air.
“I think she’s found something she likes,” Logan said with a laugh, eyeing the bed.
“I see something I love,” I replied, letting my words carry a deeper meaning as I turned to look at them both, love radiating from every part of me.
I stepped into Logan, threading my fingers through his hair and pulling him down into a kiss filled with heat and promise. He pressed himself against me, leaving no space between us as he deepened the kiss. The moment we parted for breath, Liam claimed me next, his kiss just as fierce.
Logan swept me up again, effortlessly carrying me to the bed and laying me down with reverent care.
“Are you ready for us, baby girl?” he asked, his voice thick with desire.
Liam stood beside him, both their eyes darkened with hunger, their bond wrapping around me like a second skin. I could only nod, the emotions coursing through me stealing my voice. I couldn’t tell where their feelings ended and mine began.
Before coming to Blood Moon, I had always assumed it was normal to feel things so deeply. I hadn’t known it was my empathic ability that caused me to experience not just my own emotions, but those of everyone around me. But everything changed the moment my mates marked me. Now that our bond was complete, the flood of emotions was so intense it would have dropped me to my knees if I hadn’t already been lying down.
I knew I’d have to learn to regulate it, to manage the rush of sensations or risk being overwhelmed. But for now, I gave myself over to it. I let myself drown in the exquisite weight of their love, desire, and devotion—and prayed they could feel mine just as clearly in return.
