My Possessive Alpha Twins For Mate Chapter 349

Dahlia’s POV

My fingers glided over the deep forest green silk that clung to me like a second skin, my gaze locked on the stranger in the full-length mirror. She couldn’t be me. The woman reflected back looked bold, radiant—utterly untouchable. She exuded a kind of confidence I’d never dared to claim.

Curves graced all the right places, molded perfectly into the dress as if it had been sewn with her body in mind. I turned slightly, studying the expanse of pale skin exposed down the curve of my back to where the satin pooled in gentle waves just beneath my dimples. I felt both vulnerable and breathtaking all at once.

Lilith had insisted on this color when we chose the fabric—said it made my golden curls gleam and turned my cornflower blue eyes electric. She’d been right. The soft knock at the door signaled her arrival, no doubt to usher me along. The moment had come.

I fastened the chandelier diamond earrings she’d gifted me, stepping toward the door. They had once adorned her ears during her own Luna Ceremony, and she had asked me to wear them tonight. “I’ve only ever had sons and a daughter before she died from an cancer,” she’d said tearfully. “But now, I’m gaining a daughter.” The memory still brought a sting to my eyes. We’d both cried—thankfully, before the makeup artist had shown up.

“Oh, sweet Moon Goddess,” Lilith gasped as she pushed the door open and stepped inside, her eyes lighting up the moment she saw me. “You look absolutely stunning. My boys are lucky men.”

“I think I’m the lucky one in this mating,” I whispered, blinking back the new wave of tears threatening to fall.

“Nonsense.” She waved off my words, smoothing an invisible wrinkle on my dress. “I may be their mother, but I know they’re far from perfect. What I do know is that they love you with everything they are. I’m so grateful you came back to them… to all of us. You’re going to be an extraordinary Luna.” One rogue tear slipped down my cheek, defiant and uninvited.

“Alright, enough of that,” she scolded gently. “If I let you cry now, Marek will never forgive me for ruining his masterpiece. Slip on those shoes and meet me downstairs in five.” She exited before I could respond, and I dabbed my cheeks with a tissue, praying I hadn’t smudged too much of the artist’s hard work.

I stepped into a pair of crystal-encrusted heels that glittered perfectly against the gown’s sheen. One final glance around the room to make sure I hadn’t forgotten anything—and then another knock at the door.

I chuckled at Lilith’s impatience and strode over, teasing, “It’s only been one minute!” as I swung the door open. But it wasn’t Lilith standing there.

It was Alpha Finnian Blackwell.

He pushed past me without invitation, slamming the door shut and locking it behind him. Though he wasn’t quite as massive as my mates, he was still imposing, and his sudden proximity sent a chill down my spine. His hands gripped my upper arms, his grasp hovering just below pain.

“Goddess, you’re beautiful,” he murmured, leaning in to inhale my scent. A growl rumbled in his chest as he picked up the unmistakable traces of my mates on my skin.

“What are you doing here, Alpha Blackwell?” I asked coldly, ignoring his compliment.

“I told you our conversation wasn’t finished back at Midnight Moon. You were meant to be mine, Dahlia. Mine. Not theirs.” His voice shook with rage. “I won’t let you do this. Not to me. Not to us.”

“There is no us, Finnian,” I said through gritted teeth, my voice low and firm. I took a step back, refusing to let his presence ruin this night. “You moved on—with your mate, your Luna. You had to know I would do the same eventually. Whatever this is, wherever it’s coming from—it’s not my concern anymore. And frankly, I don’t have the time or energy to entertain it.”

I edged backward until I felt the dresser at my spine. My hand reached behind me, fingers searching for my phone. I pressed the call button, praying it would redial whoever I last spoke to—and praying it wasn’t one of my mates. I kept my gaze trained on Finnian as he took another step forward, his fists clenched at his sides like he was restraining the urge to grab me again. Then, something shifted in his eyes. They softened.

“I made a mistake,” he said hoarsely. “But I see it clearly now. It was always supposed to be you, Lia. I was a fool to listen to my parents. I should have marked you then. I should’ve fought for you.”

His voice cracked with desperation, but it didn’t move me. Once, maybe, I might have wavered. But not now. Not after tasting the kind of love that consumed me whole.

“You’re wrong,” I told him quietly. “You didn’t make a mistake. I did. Because I thought you were the best I could ever have. But I know now what a real bond feels like. The mate bond doesn’t steal your choice—it offers you the chance to choose something better. And Jovie… she’s your better choice, Finnian. Go home to her. Before you destroy what little you have left.”

“It’s already too late!” he snarled and lunged toward me.

His canines had dropped, and his eyes burned with intent—he meant to mark me, forcefully. A flicker of fear stirred within me, but it vanished in the next breath.

Blue surged forward, and with her came a burst of raw, unfiltered power. It erupted from my body like a wave.

The door exploded inward.

Bastian and Nikolai stormed into the room, their eyes locking onto Finnian just as mine did. The wood floor around him had risen and twisted unnaturally, gripping his legs and arms in a vice of warped planks, holding him captive. His expression was one of disbelief—like even he couldn’t comprehend how he’d gotten caught.

I almost laughed.

But I didn’t have the time or the energy to spare. I had mates waiting for me.

“Nikolai, please go calm my mates before they tear the pack house apart trying to find me,” I said evenly. “I’m sure they felt something was wrong, but as you can see—I’m fine. There’s no reason for them to disappoint their mother by seeing me before the ceremony.”

He nodded once before stepping out.

“Bastian, take care of him,” I added, my gaze flicking back to Finnian. “But don’t take too long. We need you there—front and center.” I offered him a wink.

“Let’s go get our mates!” Blue squealed in my mind, her excitement infectious. “I can’t wait to mark them!”

“Me either,” I whispered, my heart full and steady.
