My Possessive Alpha Twins For Mate Chapter 348
Liam’s POV
The day had finally arrived—the day we would bind ourselves to Lia in the eyes of the Moon Goddess and our pack. This time, there was no lingering anxiety like before. Somehow, deep down, we knew nothing would get in our way. No hesitation, no missteps. Today, she would become our Luna. Today, the bond we’d fought so hard for would be made official.
The looming threat over our heads hadn't vanished, but we had conquered the dangers that once fractured us—the ones we created ourselves. We had earned this moment, this breath of peace. For once, we were allowed to simply exist as mated wolves, ready to celebrate everything that day symbolized.
The shrill blare of the alarm clock pierced through the early morning stillness, demanding attention from the nightstand. But instead of moving, my usually bubbly mate burrowed deeper into my chest, her face tucked sweetly against my skin.
She was draped over me, completely at ease—and Logan, dead asleep on top of her, added just enough weight to make reaching the damn alarm impossible. Did no one else hear it? Sure, it was early, but even the dead couldn’t have slept through that noise.
“Shut it off,” my wolf growled.
“But don’t wake mate,” he added, completely unhelpful.
“And how exactly am I supposed to do that?” I snapped, receiving the mental equivalent of a shrug as he curled back up to sleep.
Fantastic.
“Can you reach that?” Logan’s voice crackled sleepily through the link. “It’s going to wake our little wolf.”
“Brilliant observation, Captain Obvious,” I muttered. “How do you propose I do that, seeing as you’re both using me as a mattress?”
He blinked, lifting his head like he had only just realized the three of us were tangled in a literal dog pile.
“Oh.” That was all he had.
Just then, the decision was taken out of our hands entirely as our mother pounded on the bedroom door like the house was on fire, shouting for us to get up.
Lia stirred, rubbing her eyes and sitting up groggily. As always, she glanced to either side of her, seeking us out—her morning ritual. She never started her day without making sure we were beside her. That simple habit of hers made me feel like the luckiest wolf alive.
And I was. I wanted a lifetime of mornings like this—waking up with her nestled between us. I just prayed the Goddess would grant us that long.
Pushing away the thought, I pulled her into my lap and kissed her deeply, savoring these last few moments before we had to let her go for the day. She straddled me without hesitation, kissing me back with a fire that always left me breathless.
But my mother’s persistent knocking wasn’t going to stop.
Logan finally peeled himself off the bed and scooped Lia into his arms.
“Alright, baby girl. Shower time,” he announced, carrying her into the bathroom. I heard Mom’s voice taper off, satisfied at last that we were awake.
“You’ve got five minutes to be out of that room!” she hollered before her footsteps faded down the hall.
She gave us a generous ten minutes before bursting back in to shoo Lia off for the hours-long prep routine ahead. Logan and I slipped out, leaving the girls to whatever sorcery it took to get ready, and went in search of our dad—who was almost certainly busy running errands for our mother.
Not that I minded. I needed to double-check every last detail of the setup. Everything had to be perfect for Lia.
Unsurprisingly, we found our Dads already deep into preparations—with Lia’s father right there beside him. Oberon and his new mate, Isabella, had arrived at Blood Moon the moment we called. They pledged to stay as long as necessary to help train Lia in the ways of the Celtic Wolves. Our Dads and Oberon had fallen back into their easy rhythm of friendship, and from the sound of it, were even considering staying in the pack for good.
Logan and I still found it a bit strange that Oberon's second-chance mate was his late wife’s sister—but there was no blood relation, and Lia didn’t seem to have an issue with it. And if she was at peace, then so were we. The Moon Goddess had her reasons.
When it became clear we weren’t needed, I dragged Logan off to find Bastian and Nikolai. They were helping us with a surprise for Lia, and honestly, they were just as excited about it as we were.
Of course, Logan grumbled the whole way. My brother’s method of dealing with nerves was to ignore the problem entirely. Mine? Practice until perfection. He wasn’t thrilled about another run-through, but he followed me back to the Beta floor anyway.
We reached Bastian’s door, and I raised my hand to knock—only to freeze. There were voices inside, muffled but definitely hushed. Movement. And… was that the faint scent of a she-wolf?
I glanced at Logan. He looked just as surprised, shrugging as if he had no idea what was going on.
Bastian had always been Logan’s right hand in all things mischief, but he'd sworn he was saving himself for his mate. Lately, though, we’d seen the discouragement in his eyes. Maybe he’d decided to try dating. Maybe he was searching for a chosen mate.
Either way, it wasn’t our business—as long as he was happy.
He must have sensed us outside the door, because it flew open right after I knocked. His large frame filled the doorway, and he blocked most of the view inside, clearly not wanting us to see more.
I definitely still smelled a female in there.
“Oh, hey, guys. What’s up?” he asked casually, leaning against the doorframe like nothing was out of the ordinary.
I smirked. “Logan and I wanted to practice… you know, one more time before the ceremony,” I said, casting a quick glance down the hallway.
“Correction,” Logan said dryly. “Liam wants to practice. I’m being held against my will.”
“Right. Got it. Give me a minute and I’ll meet you with Nikolai,” Bastian replied quickly—and shut the door right in our faces.
Logan stared at the door, incredulous. “Did he just slam the door on me?”
“He definitely has someone in there. Don’t push him. He’ll tell us when he’s ready,” I warned.
“I wasn’t going to!” Logan lied.
We ran through the routine one final time, and when we were done, sat around reminiscing about all the trouble we used to get into. Eventually, we split up to start getting ready. Since the girls were using my room, I’d moved everything I needed into Logan’s the night before.
We showered again and changed into matching dark gray suits—something we rarely did, but today felt like the exception. They shimmered slightly under the light, the tailoring immaculate. Our ties were a deep forest green, nearly black—matching the fabric Lia’s dress was made from.
“She’s going to look stunning,” I said as we waited for our Dads to give us the signal.
“I can’t wait to see her out of the dress,” Logan grinned, ever the shameless one. “But yeah, you’re right. She’s already the most beautiful girl in any room. Tonight, she’s going to look like something straight out of a dream.”
Before I could respond, a loud noise echoed from downstairs—and in the same instant, Lia’s fear pulsed through the bond. We were already moving when the door burst open, Nikolai on the other side.
“She’s fine. Everything’s fine—just a misunderstanding,” he said quickly, holding his hands up in defense.
Logan growled, pushing toward him, but the moment Lia’s fear shifted into excitement and nervous energy, he backed down. I felt it too—like a wave of calm rushing through me.
“Give her five minutes to get out of sight, then come down,” Bastian said, appearing behind Nikolai. We nodded, and they disappeared.
I turned to my brother. “You ready?”
Not long ago, I wouldn’t have believed we’d ever get to this moment. Now, it felt like the most natural thing in the world.
“I’ve never been more ready. I never thought a mate could make me feel this… complete. But Lia? The Goddess knew exactly what she was doing when she gave us her. I can’t wait to mark her—to make her ours forever,” he said softly, reverently.
“I know exactly what you mean,” I murmured. I clapped him on the shoulder, heart pounding as we stepped into the hallway together—finally ready to claim the one girl who had always been ours.
