My Possessive Alpha Twins For Mate Chapter 319

Liam’s POV

I tried to drown myself in work, wrapping up unfinished tasks before we left for time alone with our mate, but the pack house was a hive of noise and movement. Workers bustled through the halls, preparing for the big event, and the chaos only served to distract me further.

Every clatter, every voice reminded me of what tomorrow would bring—and I couldn’t stop my mind from wandering. What would she wear? How would she style her hair? Would she be glowing with excitement like we were, or would nerves overshadow her joy? These questions looped endlessly in my head. It had only been two months since Lia entered our lives, yet it felt like we’d been waiting a lifetime to finally claim her as ours.

My wolf, Ghost, had no patience for responsibilities. He didn’t care about the needs of the pack or the weight of leadership. His thoughts revolved solely around Lia—his need for her presence, her touch, her scent. He was relentless, demanding that I stop everything and go find her. And truthfully, I wanted to give in. The need to hold her, to feel her warmth against me, was growing unbearable. I was just about to stand when a knock interrupted me.

“Enter,” I called, frowning slightly as an unfamiliar but pack-scented presence entered. One of our warriors stepped in—Aziel, if I remembered correctly.

“Alpha.” He dipped his head respectfully. “May I speak with you for a moment?”

“Of course. What’s on your mind, Aziel?”

“I wanted to propose a new training regimen—”

My entire body seized as a bolt of pain tore through me. I screamed, unable to stop the sound as I doubled over, clutching my chest. Ghost surged forward in panic, his growls echoing through my mind. The pain wasn’t ours—it was hers.

“Alpha! What’s wrong?” Aziel rushed toward me, alarm flooding his voice. “Sit—let me get the doctor—”

“No!” I barked, shoving him off. “I need to get to Lia.”

He tried to hold me back, pressing down on my shoulders as if I were some fragile thing needing restraint. But he didn’t understand. This wasn’t pain I could ignore.

“Move!” I roared, my Alpha command leaving no room for disobedience. Aziel backed away, his face drawn tight with concern.

I staggered out into the corridor, following the fading thread of Lia’s scent. It led me up the staircase, each step more agonizing than the last. At the landing, I found her—about to collapse.

I caught her just in time.

“Angel, I can feel it—tell me what’s happening!” I pleaded, barely able to keep us both upright.

“Need… to… lie down…” she gasped.

Panic surged through me. I linked the doctor as I guided her toward my room, but we hadn’t made it far when a sound stopped us cold.

“Ah! Oh Logan, yes!”

The moan came from Logan’s room.

I froze.

No. No, that couldn’t be right.

My brother had made mistakes, sure. But this? This was something he would never do. He adored Lia—would give his life for her. There had to be an explanation.

I turned toward Lia—but she was no longer by my side.

She stood motionless in Logan’s doorway.

She didn’t scream. Didn’t cry. She was just… still. As if her soul had been carved out of her. I moved fast, yanking her out of the doorway, shielding her as best I could from whatever was unfolding inside. The pain was gone—but the damage lingered.

She stared ahead in a daze, unmoving, unseeing.

Rage took root in my chest, blooming into something wild and deadly.

Without thinking, I stormed back into the room and tore Rowena off my brother. She was naked, trembling in my grasp, but I felt nothing but contempt.

“I’ll deal with you later,” I snarled, flinging her to the ground. I linked Bastian and Nikolai, demanding they come collect her.

She opened her mouth to speak—then wisely shut it again at my warning growl. I wouldn’t have stopped myself if she had dared to utter a single word.

Then I noticed something was wrong.

Logan hadn’t moved. Hadn’t said a word.

I turned, expecting a snarky comment or some fumbling excuse, but found him lying utterly still, his eyes closed, arms limp. His body betrayed no signs of arousal—no scent, no evidence of what I thought I’d walked in on.

I shoved his shoulder. “Open your damn eyes and face me!”

Nothing.

His skin was cold—unnatural for a wolf.

I checked his eyes. White. Rolled back.

Dread settled like lead in my stomach.

“What the hell did you do to him?” I growled at Rowena just as my backup arrived. Bastian, Nikolai, and Theron entered, halting when they saw the scene.

“Alpha, how can I help?” Theron asked quickly.

“Get Lia to my room. Make sure she’s okay. Her pain should’ve stopped. Once she’s stable, return here and check on Logan,” I ordered, eyes still locked on Rowena.

“Yes, Alpha. Where is she?”

“What?” My head snapped to him. “She was just in the hall!”

Confused, I looked around. Every man in the room gave me the same pitying look.

I shoved past them into the hallway.

Empty.

Her scent was faint. She was gone.

A new kind of fear took hold, but I shoved it aside. I needed to finish this.

Back inside, Rowena now stared up at me—smiling.

“What the fuck did you do?” I demanded, invoking my Alpha voice to force her truth.

“He’s mine!” she shrieked. “He’ll never be hers! I just made sure the bitch knew it!”

Fury erupted inside me. I grabbed her by the throat, lifting her until her feet dangled. She gasped for air, face reddening. I’d never wanted someone dead so badly.

“Alpha!” Bastian shouted. “Don’t do something you’ll regret!”

“I doubt I would,” I muttered, but released her. “Take her to the cells.”

Bastian and Nikolai dragged her away as she screamed.

“You can’t do this to me! I’m going to be Luna! He promised!”

Her rant ended abruptly—gagged, I hoped.

Theron knelt by Logan. “Looks like a sedative of some kind. We should move him to the infirmary and run tests.”

“Do it,” I said. My thoughts were already on Lia.

I sprinted to my room. Empty. Her scent lingered but barely. As I stepped into the hall again, thunder boomed—loud enough to shake the pack house.

I didn’t hesitate. I shifted mid-stride and burst through the front door.

Deep cracks split the earth from the porch to the forest’s edge. Tremendous, destructive power. Hers. I knew it. The storm was her pain made manifest.

Rain blinded me, lightning lashed at the trees, and thunder roared like a beast. The forest was chaos. Mud stole my footing. Branches whipped my fur. A fallen tree blocked my path—I leapt and slid into it hard.

Stunned, I shook my head. Ghost whimpered, wanting to press on. But then I felt them—two wolves nudging me.

Rex and Kael.

“You won’t find her in this storm,” Rex said through our link. “Let’s regroup.”

“She could be hurt,” Ghost whined.

“You’ll be no use to her if you’re dead,” Kael added, ever practical.

Ghost howled—deep and broken. Rex and Kael joined him. We weren’t alone.

We would find her.

We had to.

And if we had to tear the world apart to do it, then so be it.
