My Possessive Alpha Twins For Mate Chapter 334
Liam’s POV
We moved cautiously toward the west gate, hands raised in a non-threatening gesture. The air was tense, each of our steps deliberate. A single guard stepped out, meeting us a short distance from the entrance.
“What can I do for you gentlemen?” he asked, arms crossed, posture stiff and unwelcoming—clearly uninterested in pleasantries.
“I’m Logan Ashford, and this is my brother, Liam. We’re the Alphas of the Blood Moon Pack. We’re here to request entry into your territory,” Logan said flatly, his tone devoid of embellishment or warmth.
The guard’s brow furrowed. “We weren’t informed of your arrival. Is Alpha Faelan expecting you?”
“No,” Logan replied curtly, offering no further context.
Inside my mind, Ghost was pacing restlessly, growling his impatience. He wanted blood. It was taking everything I had to restrain him. I silently prayed Logan wasn’t planning to drag this encounter out much longer.
The guard hesitated before continuing, masking his uncertainty. “While I’m sure our Alpha would be honored to host leaders from such a prominent pack, he’ll want to know the reason behind your visit. May I ask what brings you here?”
Logan stepped forward. The subtle movement was enough to make the guard instinctively retreat a step.
He ran a hand through his hair, sighing with restrained irritation. “We’ve come to see our mate. She’s been staying in your pack. Her name is Dahlia Sterling. I’m certain your Alpha knows who she is. If you don’t, he does. We’d appreciate it if you allowed us inside so we can speak with her.”
His words were controlled, but the strain in his voice betrayed his frustration.
I watched the guard closely. The moment Logan mentioned Lia’s name, the man’s demeanor shifted. He went rigid, his expression turning to stone in a poor attempt to feign ignorance. I noticed a second guard emerge behind him, stepping into position—silent, ready.
They knew exactly who she was. They just weren’t willing to admit it.
“I’m informed of all visitors in our territory,” the guard said. “There’s no one here by that name.”
He lied through his teeth.
“He’s lying,” I said through the link.
“Yeah, no shit. Bastard,” Logan responded.
“So what now?”
Before we could act, the sound of twigs snapping and leaves crunching reached us from behind. I tensed, expecting an ambush.
But then a voice echoed inside my head.
“Alphas,” Caelum’s voice cut in calmly, “It seems we arrived just in time. I would've been here sooner, but my sense of self-preservation overruled reckless speeding.”
Logan let out a grunt of acknowledgment, his focus unwavering.
I didn’t need to turn around to know Caelum and the warriors we’d brought stood in formation behind us, radiating dominance. The Midnight Moon guards stiffened, clearly rattled, though they held their ground admirably.
“Gentlemen,” Logan said, throwing their words back at them with quiet force, “I suggest you call your Alpha. We’d prefer to resolve this peacefully.”
His voice remained calm, but the warning was unmistakable.
The rear guard’s eyes glazed—mind-linking someone. I hoped it was their Alpha and not backup.
Not wanting to take chances, I reached into my pocket.
The head guard growled, tensing.
“Easy,” I said, slowly raising the phone for him to see. “Just calling someone else we know is here. He’ll want to be informed.”
The guard nodded once, allowing it.
I dialed.
“Oberon,” I said when the line connected. “Logan and I know you’re at Midnight Moon. Don’t ask how. We’re at the west gate. Meet us here. Now.”
I ended the call without waiting for a reply. I knew he’d come.
“Our Alpha is on his way,” the rear guard announced. “He’ll be here in five minutes.”
“Thank you,” Logan said, though he looked anything but thankful.
The minutes dragged like hours. Finally, a black sedan rolled up behind the gatehouse. I couldn’t see who was inside—but the moment the door opened, I knew.
Her scent hit me like a freight train.
She was here.
I hadn’t expected the Alpha to bring her. But there was no mistaking that scent. Our mate. Dahlia.
I glanced at Logan. His fists clenched at his sides, jaw tight, eyes glinting with barely restrained longing. His wolf, like mine, was screaming to break free.
And then we saw her.
She stepped through the gate, holding his hand.
I froze. Our scents had been masked—she hadn’t known we were here. Her face said it all. Shock, disbelief… betrayal?
But it wasn’t the surprise that broke me. It was her hand in his. That quiet intimacy. That silent statement that she’d moved on.
Ghost howled in fury.
We weren’t letting her go.
“Get your fucking hands off my mate!” Logan’s voice thundered as we both surged forward—
Only to be stopped cold.
Literally.
Thick roots burst from the ground, snaking around our legs and torsos, anchoring us to the earth. I looked down in disbelief, then up.
Lia stood still, arms raised in focused concentration.
The truth hit like a punch to the chest.
She’d mastered her powers—and now she was using them against us.
“It seems your ‘mate’ disagrees,” Alpha Faelan said, amusement lacing his voice.
“Angel—”
“Baby—”
We spoke at once.
“Don’t call me that!” she spat, tightening the roots. “Neither of you have the right!”
She was furious—righteously so. But that didn’t mean we were giving up.
Logan and I exchanged a look. As one, we began to shift.
Muscles tore, bones cracked, claws emerged.
The roots stood no chance.
We ripped through them and lunged again.
But she was ready.
She raised her hands, shoved the air forward—and the earth beneath us responded. A wave of force sent us flying backward. We slammed into trees, where branches immediately curled around us, pinning us in place.
“You will not shift!” she roared. Her voice thundered with power, deeper and more commanding than I had ever heard.
Ghost whimpered, drained. Her command stripped his strength away.
“Lia, please,” I begged, struggling against the vines. “We just want to talk!”
Fear flickered in my chest—fear not of her power, but of losing her for good. But there was a spark of hope. She wasn’t holding his hand anymore.
“Please,” Logan said, his voice raw, cracking under the weight of everything we’d done—and everything we stood to lose.
She laughed, bitter and cold. “Talk? Now you want to talk? You lost that right the moment you fucked another woman in our bed!”
Her words were knives.
“You knew what I’d been through. You knew how much that would destroy me. And you still did it. I gave you every opportunity to walk away, but you swore it was all lies. You told me you loved me. And like a fool, I believed you.
Mission accomplished. What more do you want from me? Why are you here? To watch me shatter? Sorry to disappoint.”
Every word burned. Her pain hit me like a wave. And from the way Logan trembled beside me, I knew he felt it too.
“I can’t live without you, baby girl,” Logan whispered, tears falling freely. He was crumbling.
“I’m sure you’ll manage. Maybe Rowena can help you,” she snapped.
She opened her mouth to say more—possibly to reject us outright.
But then—
“Dahlia!” a voice barked.
We all turned.
Her father was rushing toward her.
But it wasn’t just him.
A small auburn wolf padded beside him, eyes locked on our mate. She sat before Dahlia, calm and focused.
And just like that, the entire forest held its breath.
