I was deep into my workout, lost in the rhythm and burn, when suddenly Fang started pacing inside my head—agitated, restless.

Something’s wrong.

“Fang? What is it, man?” I asked, the first pang of anxiety tightening in my chest.

“It’s mate—she’s upset. Something’s wrong. We need to find her, now!” he growled, his voice tight with urgency.

That was all I needed. The second Fang felt it, I felt it too. Since we marked Lia, the bond between us had deepened to a terrifying degree. Her instincts, her emotions—everything ran through us now. If Fang was freaking out, there was a damn good reason.

I didn’t even bother with the elevator—I hit the stairs at wolf speed, heart pounding. Less than a minute later, I slammed open the hotel room door so hard it bounced off the wall.

“What the fuck is going on in here?” I roared, my eyes sweeping the room, hunting for her.

I took a breath, trying to steady myself before approaching him.

“I messed up,” Liam muttered, his posture defeated. “Now she won’t come out or talk to me.”

“I got this,” I told him through our link. He gave a small nod, stepping back.
