Dahlia’s POV

An hour later, after being thoroughly and deliciously ravished by both of them, I found myself firmly convinced that the sofa had earned a special place in my heart as my new favorite piece of furniture. I giggled inwardly, amused by the fact that, in the end, I’d gotten exactly what I came for when I sought them out—just not quite in the way I’d envisioned.

Still, that didn’t change the fact that we had serious matters to discuss.

“As fun as that little detour was, we still need to talk,” I reminded them pointedly.

“Of course, Luna,” Liam replied with a wide grin, clearly pleased to refer to me by the title I was soon to bear.

“Whatever you need, Luna,” Logan added with a smirk.

I rolled my eyes at their antics.

“Okay, Alphas—time to be serious. Please put some clothes on so I can focus,” I said, exasperated, though not entirely immune to the effect their bare skin had on me.

Their knowing smirks told me they were fully aware of the power they held.

“But we love when you can’t think straight,” Logan whispered against my ear, his voice low and sinful. “When all you can do is feel.”

His hot breath sent a tremor through me, and he chuckled, clearly pleased with the reaction he drew before sitting up and adopting a more serious demeanor. “But you're right. This is important.”

“Thank you,” I said, clearing my throat. “I think I should reach out to my aunt and find out how soon she can meet. She told Dad she wanted to see me, but we won’t know if she can actually train me until our wolves meet. If she can’t… we’ll be right back at the beginning.”

“And if she can?” Liam asked, his expression turning thoughtful. “What then?”

“Then I think it’s safest for me to go there and train… alone,” I said firmly, bracing myself for the backlash I knew would follow.

“Absolutely not!” Logan snapped, his voice a sharp edge.

“I love that you both want to protect me. I know how deeply you care. But that attachment… it’s also my weakness. My emotions are unstable around you. The bond intensifies everything, and that means there’s a higher risk I could lose control and hurt someone without even realizing it. We can’t endanger either of our packs. It would be better if she and I went somewhere secluded. Deep down, you know I’m right—even if you hate it.”

“Angel,” Liam said gently, “you know our wolves won’t handle being apart from you—not until we’ve marked you. Even then, they’ll struggle with it. But the marks will help. They’ll give us a tether. We’ll be able to feel you, find you if something goes wrong.”

My shoulders sagged. I couldn’t argue with that. Blue—my wolf—would spiral into chaos if we left without being marked by them. Her grief, her fury, could unleash more destruction than we could contain.

“Two weeks,” Logan said suddenly.

Liam and I both turned to him, puzzled.

“I just mind-linked my mom. She says she can have the mating ceremony ready in two weeks. That’s not a lot of notice for inviting other Alphas, but honestly, I don’t care. Let them come or not. As long as you’re officially ours, with our marks on your neck, that’s all that matters to me.”

Two weeks.

The words hit me like a stone dropped into water—ripples of nervous excitement spreading through me. I had agreed not to delay it, but I had assumed we’d need at least a month to pull it all together. Now that it was real, I was both thrilled and terrified.

“That’s perfect!” Liam exclaimed, clearly already on board.

“We’ll use the time to wrap up any urgent pack matters, then we can take some time off. We were planning to whisk you away on an exotic honeymoon, but that can wait. We’ll go to Forest Trails with you for a couple weeks. From there, we’ll see where you’ll train and figure out who stays with you.”

“That works,” Logan agreed. “By then, we’ll have a clearer picture of your training needs. Maybe you won’t have to be there every day. We could take you on weekends. Or, if it comes to it, Liam and I can alternate—one of us stays with you while the other stays to lead the pack.”

We all fell into quiet thought, letting the possibilities settle. It was a smart plan. The responsibilities of being Alpha weren’t something that could be neglected—not for long. Their presence was crucial to the stability of the pack. An extended absence could create unrest or fear among their people.

Still, the idea of being apart didn’t sit well. The bond we shared wasn’t just romantic—it was essential. The three of us were stronger, more balanced, when we were together.

But in the end, we would do what needed to be done—for the pack and for my future.

“Mom wants to meet with you right away,” Logan said, breaking the silence. “She wants to show you her vision for the ceremony. She’s waiting on the patio.”

“Should I be worried?” I asked, already dreading what she might have in store.

“Probably,” they both answered in unison, making me laugh.

“Great,” I muttered, dragging myself to my feet. “I’m going to take a quick shower before I head down. I refuse to meet your mother smelling like sex.”

“Angel,” Liam said, clearly amused. “You do realize the whole pack knows what we get up to—including our mother.”

My cheeks burned. I could feel the heat rise to my ears.

“I love when you blush, baby girl,” Logan murmured, his voice dark and warm. “It’s so sexy.”

Before I could stop them, they closed in, placing kisses on each side of my neck.

“Nope. No, no, no! I don’t have time for this!” I squealed, pushing them away.

“We can smell you, Angel. Seems like you want to make time,” Liam teased.

“That’s not me—it’s the damn bond!” I protested, squirming free.

Thankfully, they let me go. I darted for the door before they changed their minds.

In my rush, I nearly collided with someone right outside the office. I instinctively reached out to steady them, only to look up and realize my hands were on Rowena’s shoulders.

Caught completely off guard, I froze.

“Sorry!” I blurted out, then hurried away without waiting for a reply.

Her presence there struck me as odd. There was nothing down that hallway except the Alpha and Beta offices. Maybe she’d finally given up on the Alphas and moved on to Bastian. Poor guy.

But I didn’t have time to dwell on it. I had enough to deal with—namely, impressing the formidable woman who would soon be my mother-in-law and navigating her likely extravagant plans for our mating ceremony.
