My Possessive Alpha Twins For Mate Chapter 264

Dahlia’s POV

The moment he raised his glass for that toast, something inside me shifted. Hearing this towering, self-assured Alpha’s voice tremble as he struggled to find the right words pierced straight through me. It wasn’t just endearing—it shattered something I didn’t even realize I’d been guarding. My heart melted, and with it came a tidal wave of longing I couldn’t contain.

Everything hit me at once. One moment, I was simply taking in the breathtaking view—the mirror-like surface of the silver lake below us, perfectly reflecting the trees, the snow-dusted mountains, and the soft, feathery clouds above. It was a scene that had held me spellbound. The next, he was looking at me with such genuine emotion, speaking such beautiful words that they cracked open every last one of my defenses.

And in that fragile, electric moment, I wanted him. With a depth and intensity that honestly scared me. My heart was exposed, raw, and I no longer had the armor to protect it.

But what frightened me even more was the ache I felt for Liam in his absence. I yearned for him just as fiercely as I did for his brother. And while I could revel in the time I spent alone with either of them, the truth settled in quietly—it would never feel whole without both of them.

Now, lying in Logan’s arms, still trembling in the aftermath of two mind-blowing orgasms, my hazy mind could barely process the surreal beauty of this life I was somehow living. For just this fleeting moment, I let myself believe it—that these two remarkable men wanted me, body and soul. Just a few more minutes of pretending wouldn’t hurt, right? Then I’d rebuild my walls. Reclaim my caution.

"They do want us!" Blue chimed in suddenly. "You just need to stop resisting!" she growled, stomping off toward the back of my mind. I let out a small huff at her attitude.

“What’s wrong, baby girl?” Logan asked, lifting my chin so I had to meet his eyes. The concern in his voice was unmistakable. Crap. I must’ve actually huffed out loud.

“Nothing’s wrong!” I rushed to say.

But of course, something was wrong. “I just... I feel bad. I didn’t do anything for you.”

His smile dimmed instantly. I saw the shift in his eyes as his wolf edged closer to the surface.

“Dahlia,” he said, voice low and intense, “nothing Liam or I ever do with you comes with strings. We do it because making you happy makes us happy. Period.”

His features softened, and that little half-smile I adored returned. He let out a warm laugh. “Besides, look at what you do for me. You get me so worked up, you don’t even have to touch me for me to lose control.”

He motioned toward the large wet patch staining his pants.

My cheeks flamed in instant embarrassment, and I buried my face in his chest, making him laugh even harder.

“Come on,” he said, tugging me into a sitting position. “Naia will kill me if we don’t eat the food she made.”

Reality slowly filtered back in as we both looked around—and gasped at the same time.

We were surrounded by tall grass and clusters of wildflowers, bright and beautiful in every direction.

“Was that—?”

“Did I—?”

We spoke at once, then laughed at ourselves as we argued over who should go first. Eventually, I gave in.

“Do you think I did that?” I asked softly. “I mean, because I—because Blue—” The words tangled on my tongue, but he understood.

“I can’t think of any other reason,” Logan said, thoughtful. “Actually… I could’ve sworn I heard thunder earlier. When we, you know…” He trailed off, cheeks tinged with color. Was the bold Alpha actually blushing?

Then he flashed a wicked grin. “Was I that good? Did I make you lose control, baby girl?”

“Hmmm,” I murmured, the only response I could muster.

Because yes, he had. Every time he or Liam touched me, my body ignited. And somehow, every time outshone the last. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, it did. A part of me was starting to realize I was standing at the edge of something dangerous. If I fell… there would be no climbing back.

We lingered there a while longer, nestled together in our secret meadow. Logan pulled me between his legs, my back snug against his chest as we sampled the food and sipped the wine this time. Every now and then, he’d bury his face in my hair or brush kisses along my neck, murmuring how good I smelled, how sweet I tasted.

Thankfully, he couldn’t see my face. I was probably red as a tomato.

Eventually, he sighed and said, “Time to go. Liam and our parents will be back soon.”

He stood, then helped me to my feet. “I’m guessing you’ll want a shower before meeting them.”

Translation: I reeked of sex and Logan, and that was probably not the kind of first impression I wanted to make.

And then it hit me.

“Oh goddess! Oh no!” I blurted out.

“What? Are you okay?” Logan asked, instantly alarmed.

“What we did… we shouldn’t have… Oh no!” I couldn’t even get the words out properly. I was mortified. Logan’s eyes went sharp, his wolf fully present again.

“You are our mate,” he growled. “There is nothing wrong with what we did. Don’t ever say that, Dahlia!”

Oh crap. He totally misunderstood. I stepped forward, placing a hand gently on his chest.

“No, that’s not what I meant,” I said softly. “I don’t regret it. Not even a little. I just meant… what if Liam felt it? What if he was with your parents and he… you know, because of us?”

The tension in Logan dissolved in an instant. And then he laughed. Hard. He doubled over, unable to stop himself.

I just stood there, utterly confused. This wasn’t funny. It was mortifying.

Finally, he straightened, still chuckling as he pulled me close.

“I’m sorry,” he said between laughs, though he didn’t sound sorry at all. “Just the mental image of that—hilarious.”

I frowned.

“But if it makes you feel better, I don’t think he felt it. If he had, trust me, my phone would’ve exploded by now.”

I didn’t answer. I wasn’t entirely sure that did make me feel better.

“Maybe there’s a distance limit,” he offered. “Like with the mind-link—if we’re too far apart, the connection weakens.”

“Maybe,” I agreed. There was still so much we didn’t know.
