My Possessive Alpha Twins For Mate Chapter 362

Rowena’s POV

“Aaaaargh!” I shrieked, pacing furiously back and forth in my miserable little cell. Not that I could go far—three steps in either direction, and I hit cold stone or rusted iron.

And not that anyone cared to hear me scream.

I knew there was a guard stationed somewhere nearby. His scent lingered, stale and strong, but he never came close enough for me to catch a glimpse of him. If I could just get him within arm’s reach… I could twist him around my finger eventually. But no, I wasn't even afforded that. Just a pathetic tray of food and water once a day, delivered by one of the decrepit old crones from the kitchens. No guard. No contact. No opportunity.

Ever since Logan had dragged that smug little bitch down here to gloat, one of their loyal dogs must’ve come in afterward to alter my chains. I’d been unconscious at the time—probably blacked out from whatever invisible force she’d slammed me with. I still didn’t know exactly what happened. All I remembered was being hurled against the wall like a ragdoll.

At least I wasn’t hanging from the ceiling anymore. Small mercy, but still a mercy. When I’d asked the wretched kitchen hag why I was suddenly being granted “comforts,” she’d said it was by order of the new Luna.

That alone almost made me ask them to string me back up.

I didn’t want anything from her. But I wasn’t stupid. I could endure this temporary humiliation if it brought me one inch closer to freedom. One inch closer to revenge. I’d claw my way out, one calculated step at a time.

And when I did, I’d make her pay. That conniving, man-stealing tramp thought she could take what was rightfully mine? She had no idea who she was dealing with. I was supposed to be Luna. Me. I had always gotten what I wanted in the end—and this would be no different.

The echo of footsteps approached, bouncing off the stone walls like a drumbeat of fate. I halted mid-step, straining to hear. Their voices floated down the corridor, too quiet at first to make out clearly. Silver shackles dulled my wolf’s senses, forcing me to rely on human instincts. But as they drew closer, I recognized them.

Logan. And Liam.

The twin Alphas were coming to see me.

I turned toward the hallway, squinting at the thin band of light that spilled from a cracked door somewhere down the corridor. When they stepped into it, I froze.

They must’ve just finished training—bare-chested, their sweat-slicked muscles gleaming under the dim light, only a pair of basketball shorts slung low on their hips. My throat tightened at the sight, a low moan almost slipping from me before I clenched it back. I wouldn’t let them see the effect they still had on me.

“Well, well. What brings the two of you down here?” I purred, though the venom in my voice was impossible to miss. “Finally come to your senses? Ready to toss that bitch aside and choose a real woman for your Luna?”

Logan growled, lunging forward, claws flashing, rage burning in his eyes—but Liam caught him by the arm and pulled him back.

“Easy, brother,” he said, calm and cool. “She’s not worth the effort.”

Logan’s jaw flexed as he forced himself to relax, shaking out his arms. “Yeah. You’re right. She won’t be our problem much longer. Soon, we won’t have to see her face or listen to another word of her delusional bullshit ever again.”

“What—what are you talking about?” I stammered, a chill creeping down my spine. “What do you mean I won’t be your problem? My sentence was life. You can’t kill me!”

“Oh, we’re not going to kill you,” Liam said smoothly, a cruel smile tugging at his lips. “But you might wish we had. You’ll still serve a life sentence. Just not here.”

“Where are you sending me?” I asked, panic rising like bile, my hands trembling.

“To the High Table prison,” Liam answered, his voice like ice. “That charming little fortress on the remote island—no contact with the outside world, no visitors, no escape. The only way anyone ever leaves that place is zipped up in a body bag.”

He kept talking, detailing every horrifying aspect of the prison, but I wasn’t listening anymore.

I knew that place. Everyone did. The stories about it were whispered like death omens.

And now I was going there.

All the fight drained from me. I had gambled everything, thinking Elias would be enough of a distraction to keep Liam busy. I thought the drug I slipped Logan would lower his guard—not knock him unconscious and expose my plan. So many miscalculations. So many small mistakes that cost me everything.

“Rowena. Look at me.”

Logan’s voice cracked like a whip, his Alpha aura slamming into me and forcing my head up. My chin lifted against my will. My gaze locked with his.

And then they stepped fully into the light.

Their torsos gleamed like carved stone, each neck now branded with a mark.

Her mark.

The sight of it sent ice through my veins.

“This is why we really came,” Logan said, his voice thick with pride. “So you can see the truth before you’re dragged away. Her claim on us. Her mark. That’s what you’ll remember while you rot.”

“We’ll spend our lives loving her,” Liam added coldly, “while you die alone.”

The command lifted, and I dropped to my knees, gasping like I’d been gutted. Nausea rolled through me, violent and immediate.

They turned and walked away, not bothering with another word.

But before their footsteps could even fade, I heard more—dozens more—marching in my direction.

My escort to hell.

“No!” I screamed, curling into myself on the floor. “No, please! Don’t do this!”

But no one listened.

Hands closed around me. I thrashed, kicked, screamed.

It didn’t matter.

I was already gone.
