My Possessive Alpha Twins For Mate Chapter 269

Logan’s POV

Our dads wanted a full report—every detail we’d overlooked while they were gone. And even though Liam and I now carried the Alpha title, our fathers remained deeply invested in the pack. As much as they tried to step back, they never truly let go of their roles. We didn’t mind. They had been incredible Alphas—strong, wise, and always fair. More importantly, they were mentors we deeply respected. They never interfered, just offered guidance and gave us the space to lead in our own way.

It had taken a lot of persuasion—and ultimately, Mom threatening to leave them behind and go on vacation alone—for them to finally take some time off. For all their devotion to the pack, they loved her more. There was no way they could stand to be apart from her for too long.

Now, unfortunately, we were paying the price by recounting every moment from the past month.

I knew I shouldn’t complain. At least it kept us occupied while Lia helped Theron. But focusing was getting increasingly difficult. My wolf was growing restless, pacing in my head, desperate to be near his mate. If he had his way, we’d already be kicking down the OR doors and dragging her out.

His instincts were primal—he needed her, needed Blue. And every time I tried to reason with him, to remind him that she was helping injured pack members and couldn’t be disturbed, I was met with growls and resistance. From the way Liam clenched his jaw beside me, his wolf was just as unhinged.

Thankfully, salvation came in the form of Mom, who finally swept into the office and dragged our fathers out. I had never been so relieved to see her. Another few minutes and I would’ve personally thrown them out.

As soon as they left, I bolted from the office, taking the stairs two at a time. I was desperate to see my girl, to fix whatever I had done wrong—even though I still didn’t know what it was. Liam was right beside me, equally determined. Honestly, it didn’t matter what we’d done. I'd apologize for everything and anything just to have her in my arms again.

We reached her door and I leaned against the frame while Liam knocked. I could hear her heartbeat, soft movement inside—she was definitely in there. The door flung open moments later, and she opened her mouth to speak before abruptly freezing.

A breathy, surprised “Oh!” escaped her lips.

I had no idea why she looked so stunned to see us—but my own shock eclipsed hers in an instant.

Lia was standing there wearing the tiniest black dress I’d ever laid eyes on. It hugged her body like a second skin, barely covering her ass. The top was a halter crisscross that clung tightly to her full breasts, leaving her toned midriff completely exposed. Her legs—long, strong, devastating—were wrapped in thigh-high black leather boots. She looked like temptation incarnate.

This outfit screamed sin.

My wolf lost his mind. I was already hard.

“Fuck, Angel. You look so damn hot,” Liam growled beside me, his voice thick, his wolf just beneath the surface. “Why are you all dressed up?”

Good question.

“Um... some friends and I are going to a karaoke bar,” she said, her voice soft, uncertain. “I was just heading out.”

Karaoke? Without us? Dressed like that?

I clenched my jaw, struggling to maintain composure.

“That sounds fun! Give us a few minutes to get ready and we’ll take you,” Liam offered, too cheerful, too eager.

“Actually... Silas is giving me a ride,” she replied. “I thought it was him knocking. Nikolai called earlier—he said Silas was on his way from the gate.”

Silas? My blood boiled.

“Where?” I snapped.

She blinked, confused. “Where... what?”

“Where are you going?” I ground out through clenched teeth.

“Oh, uh... just the Karaoke Lounge in Black Rose,” she answered.

Her phone buzzed, and she glanced down. “Silas just pulled up out front. I have to go.”

She slipped past us and disappeared down the hall, her curls tumbling down her back. As she walked away, the back of her dress dipped so low it revealed those damn Venus dimples just above her ass.

Hell no.

“Go get ready,” I barked at Liam. “We’re leaving in five.”

“You sure that’s smart? She didn’t invite us,” he cautioned.

“It’s Black Rose. Wolf territory. That bar’s going to be crawling with unmated males. Did you see what she was wearing? Every last one of them is going to want their hands on her.”

Liam didn’t need further convincing. “Meet you at the car.”

Black Rose was a thirty-minute drive. Five minutes later, we were in the car, speeding toward the bar.

We arrived just as the sun dipped low, casting the parking lot in golden hues. Thankfully, the bouncer at the door recognized me and waved us in without a hassle.

Inside, the place was packed. We wove through the dense crowd in the bar area, following the sound of voices and laughter into the main room. A stage stood at the front, surrounded by tables, dimly lit yet vibrant with energy.

I didn’t even need my enhanced vision to find her.

I just followed the voice.

That voice—rich, melodic, unmistakable. Lia.

She was on stage, singing a duet with Silas.

“Don’t Go Breakin’ My Heart.” Perfectly in sync. Too perfectly.

They were smiling at each other, gazes locked, laughter in their eyes. If someone didn’t know better, they’d think they were in love.

Maybe one of them was.

And if that bastard didn’t back off, I was going to shatter his fucking jaw.

As the final note of the song faded, the crowd erupted in cheers. They gave a small bow, soaking in the applause, and I pushed off the wall, fully prepared to cut through the crowd and make my way to my mate. But I froze.

Silas had pulled her into his arms—lifting her with ease and spinning her around like something out of a damn romance movie.

Then, as if that wasn’t enough, he scooped her into a bridal carry, grinning like the smug bastard he was, and pressed a kiss to her cheek before jumping off the stage—with her still in his arms. She was laughing the entire time, the sound sweet and carefree, but all I could feel was a tidal wave of jealousy burning through me.

Beside me, Liam let out a low, guttural growl in unison with mine. A few patrons nearby turned to glance our way, but the hum of the crowd covered the sound well enough that it didn’t draw wider attention.

I scanned the room, looking for where Lia had been sitting, and spotted her easily near a table with several others—probably the same "friends" she’d mentioned earlier.

Fang nearly broke through the surface the moment our eyes landed on Alpha Finnian Blackwell.

He was seated with a sultry brunette tucked under his arm, but his attention wasn’t on her. No, his eyes were fixed on my girl, watching her far too intently as she laughed and clinked shot glasses with a redhead. I watched her toss back the liquor in one gulp, wincing as the burn hit.

This was a ticking bomb. A damn disaster waiting to blow.

Liam and I made our way to the table, my eyes sweeping the space. Almost every male in the bar with a clear view was shamelessly eyeing her. Even within her group, two male wolves were practically salivating. To make matters worse, she wasn’t holding back either—taking another shot like it was water.

Thank the Goddess we’d decided to come. Her reckless behavior was asking for trouble, and both my wolf and I were fuming.

I took a slow breath, trying to leash the fury twisting inside me. Confronting her here and now wouldn’t help. Not tonight. I just needed to stay close and watch her—whether she wanted that or not.

But apparently, our Alpha presence was impossible to ignore. The moment we neared the table, every head turned toward us. Lia nearly choked on her drink when she spotted us.

“Alpha Logan. Alpha Liam.” Silas gave us a tight nod, his tone dry. “Didn’t know you were joining us. Would’ve saved you seats.”

“Was a last-minute decision,” Liam replied coolly, dragging two empty chairs over from the nearby table and claiming our place at hers.

“Dahlia, how about introducing us to your friends?” I said, biting the edge of sarcasm. “You’ve already met all of ours. It’s only fair.”

“Oh, I highly doubt I’ve met all your friends, Logan,” she snapped, her voice laced with venom. What the hell was that about?

“But since we’re being polite—” she continued, voice stiff, “you already know Alpha Blackwell, of course.”

“Yes,” Liam replied with noticeable distaste. “We’ve had the pleasure. Several times.”

I only nodded, jaw clenched too tightly to trust myself with words.

She continued on, ignoring us.

“That’s Luna Jovie, his mate,” she gestured toward the brunette draped across Finnian’s side. “Liam met her the day he visited Crystal Moon.”

“Nice to see you again,” Jovie offered with a polite smile. “Alpha Ashford, right?”

“That’s right. Good to see you, Luna,” Liam replied smoothly.

For a flicker of a second, I thought I saw something—irritation maybe—in Lia’s eyes. But it vanished before I could be sure.

What caught my attention more was Finnian’s complete lack of interest in Lia now. If my mate had been talking to another guy, no matter how harmless, I’d have been locked onto her like a hawk.

“And, of course, you both know Silas,” she added. “This is Isolde Mariner, my best friend and partner in crime.”

She clinked another shot glass with the redhead beside her and downed it. Isolde laughed, her affection for Lia clear, though a certain sadness lingered behind her eyes. I briefly wondered if they’d bonded over mutual loss—but I shoved that thought aside as Lia introduced the rest.

There was a girl named Niamh—though everyone called her Nia—and another named Bailey.

Once introductions were done, Isolde leaned forward with a mischievous glint in her eye.

“So, how do you two know our Lia?” she asked, a knowing grin curling on her lips. She knew. There was no way she didn’t. My chest lifted a little at that realization—Lia hadn’t hidden our bond. But that brief hope shattered with Silas’s smug interruption.

“You’ve heard about the new alliance with Blood Moon, right?” he said to Isolde, who nodded. “Well, our Lia Bee was sent there as an ambassador. To build goodwill.”

Liam's hand landed on my shoulder, steady and firm, no doubt sensing how close I was to lunging across the table at the guy. That damned nickname—Lia Bee—grated on my nerves like a blade to the skin.

But what tore me up more was the lie. Why hadn’t she told him the truth?

Was she holding onto feelings for him? Was she playing both sides?

No. I refused to believe that.

Not her. Not my mate.
