Rebirth Of The Rejected Luna Chapter 125: My Name is Tiana Not Erika
**Tiana's POV**
I stood in the forest, looking around at the tall trees that towered above me, all the while trying to figure out where I was. But everything seemed unfamiliar. I didn't recognize the trees or the plants, and I had no idea how I got there. I felt a little scared and my heart was beating fast.
This forest did not belong anywhere close to the Shadowclaw pack, neither did it belong to the Moonstone pack, so where the hell was I? I had been at the borders of those two packs so I knew well enough that this place was anything and everything but that.
I walked forward, my heart palpitating against my chest in an erratic rhythm. A wave of nausea and dizziness crashed upon me suddenly so I leaned against the nearest tree, my head spinning wildly.
A branch was resting on my head, and its leaves kept covering my eyes as it swayed in the wind. I stepped away from the tree and looked up. That's when I realized I was really tall - way taller than I should be. I was confused and didn't know what to make of it.
I kept walking on the only path I could see, which was really small and looked like it was only used by animals. Then I heard the sound of a stream and followed it. As I got closer, I saw a few rocks and a tiny stream flowing from them. I was really thirsty, so I knelt down to get a drink. But when I looked into the stream, I saw someone else staring back at me.
It was a girl with long, dark hair and sharp features. Her eyes which were siren-shaped were really pretty and seemed to sparkle. They were the kind of eyes that seemed to take you from your soul and draw you in. Her nose was pointy and her lips were full. I was surprised and blinked. She blinked back at me and tilted her head to the side. I was confused - who was this girl and why was she staring back at me from the stream? I kept staring at her, trying to figure out what was going on. Her eyes seemed to know something that I didn't, and it made me feel uneasy.
I stood up and looked at my hands again. Long and slender fingers attached to very toned arms. These arms seemed like they belonged to a female warrior.
I squatted again and looked at the reflection of the strikingly beautiful woman staring back at me. This body was not mine but somehow I was occupying it. Had my soul miraculously wandered into this strange body?
I looked up from the stream and peered ahead, noticing a small cottage hidden behind weeping willow trees. I moved forward, going around the rocks to get to the other side.
An old woman walked in just then, her silver hair shimmered with an otherworldly glow. She held a pail in her hand and moved cautiously towards me and then her eyes widened in shock. The pail she held clattered onto a rock, breaking. "By the moon goddess?" She exclaimed with a curse. "How— Erika?"
"Erika?" I asked with a raise of my brows. "I'm Tiana,' I said but even I was not able to convince myself I was Tiana. The voice was way different from mine. It was soft-spoken but with a level of hoarseness that made it sultry and seductive. "I'm Tiana," I repeated, trying to convince myself I was the one.
"Oh dear," the woman sighed, rushing towards me. Her eyes were wide with surprise with tears pouring out of the sides. "You must have hit your head on a rock or something."
"I didn't," I managed to say, trying to ignore the discomfort of her tears wetting my abdomen. I could not help but notice how significantly smaller than me she was. "I'm Tiana," I repeated again, still trying to get accustomed to the strange voice I was speaking with.
"It must have been a hard hit. Come on in," she said with a nervously happy chuckle.
"I'm sorry, who are you?" I asked, trying to sound as polite as I could. The old woman gasped, placing her hand on her chest. "Erika, you wound me."
I said nothing and walked into the cottage with her. It seemed like whoever the person was that owned the body was Erika and she and this woman were close. I was still going to have to bring her to terms with the fact that I was not Erika.
I began to wonder as well where Erika was. Was she by any chance in my body or somewhere else?
The cottage was dimly lit with candles which cast a warm orange glow across the space. The aesthetic of the room was brown wooden decor with furniture that was delicately carved. Wild abstract painting lines decorated the wall.
She took me to an inner room that was pitch dark and snapped her fingers. Flames appeared and she walked towards a candle and lit it.
I gasped, taking a step backwards as she did. My heart seemed to skip a bit as she did so. How on earth? Fear began to claw at my insides. Was there a possibility this woman was a witch and was dangerous? I should not have followed her inside the cottage.
"You act like you have not seen this a thousand times Erika," the old woman chuckled, her amber eyes twinkling. "It was your favourite trick as a child, Erika."
"It's Tiana," I told her one more time, searching her eyes.
"Erika..." She repeated firmly. I said nothing but stared at her with the same uncertain and cautious gaze she sent my way. "But how though? I don't doubt the moon goddess can bring back her own but this doesn't seem logical."
"What are you talking about?" I asked, cocking my head to the left.
"Erika... you are supposed to be dead.”
