Rebirth Of The Rejected Luna Chapter 231: Theo's Heir
Tiana's POV
Peter didn’t answer right away. The silence between us felt heavier than before. I waited, not moving, barely even breathing. I could tell he was scared—not just for Theo, but for both of us. I could also tell he still cared deeply for his friend, and that was my only chance.
After what felt like forever, he finally gave me a slow nod. “Alright,” he said. “But be careful, Talia. If you’re right… This could be dangerous. It could get both of us killed.”
I felt a small, tired smile tug at the corner of my mouth. Not because I was happy—but because I wasn’t alone in this anymore.
“Then we’ll just have to make sure it doesn’t,” I whispered.

Peter had already spoken up for me, putting in a request on my behalf. In just two more weeks, I would finally be able to leave. I had been waiting quietly, trying to stay calm, even though every time I saw Theo, if that was really even him, it felt like my chest was on fire. Something inside me twisted, pulling tighter every day. It was getting harder to stay still and pretend I wasn’t falling apart. But soon, I’d be free. I’d have time to think and time to look for the answers I needed.
That night, they made an announcement. I tried hard not to show any emotion, but the words hit me hard, like stinging nettles brushing against my skin.
“Luna Elara will give birth to an heir for Alpha Theodore.”
The pack cheered right away. People clapped and shouted, and even the serious warriors who usually didn’t show much emotion were smiling and laughing. Elara stood proudly, a soft smile on her face, her hand resting gently on her stomach like it was the most precious thing in the world. Maybe to her, it was. Maybe this baby was her treasure.
I stood at the edge of the room, trying to stay unnoticed. My stomach felt tight and sick. I forced myself to smile, but it didn’t feel real. It felt fake, like dry leaves that crumble when touched. I didn’t exactly hate Elara—I couldn’t say that. But the happiness floating around the room made it hard to breathe. It felt like I was drowning in their joy. That should have been Theo and I but for some reason...
The worst part was that Theo never loved her. I knew that deep in my heart. He never had.
And still, he gave her a child.
The days after that felt like they moved slower than ever. Every time I passed by Theo, it became harder to act normal. I kept watching him. Listening to his words, watching his face. Looking for anything that could prove I wasn’t imagining things. That I wasn’t going crazy.
Then, one week later, I packed my bag. I didn’t need much. Just the basics. But I made sure to tuck the talisman carefully into an inner pocket, wrapping it in a soft cloth. My travel papers were signed and approved, thanks to Peter. The papers said I was going to visit a sick relative, my only living family.
That was a lie, of course. But it was one I had to tell.
I was actually heading outside to the city called Beaumont. The outskirts of Corvin's pack where Erika’s grandmother lived. She was known for understanding old, powerful magic and ancient runes. If anyone could help me understand the talisman and especially why it seemed connected to Theo, it would be her.
I had planned to leave at sunrise.
But just before I made it to the stables, I heard news that unexpected guests had arrived at the castle. The Moonstone Pack was here. And not just anyone. It was the Beta of the pack and his son, Viktor.
As soon as I heard the name, my heart skipped a beat.
Viktor.
My brother.
I hadn’t seen him since the night my life fell apart. Since the night everyone thought Tiana—me—had died. No one here knew who I really was. I had hidden behind this false identity for so long, that I had almost forgotten the sound of my real name.
But now… he was here.
I stayed hidden. I didn’t want to be seen. I needed to know what was happening first. I watched from a distance as the two of them were led into Alpha Roman’s private meeting room. That was strange. Very few people were allowed in there. It made my instincts go on high alert. Something wasn’t right.
Without thinking, I followed them. I knew the castle well, and I slipped past the guards and down a hallway, then into a hidden space near the council chamber. It was a secret spot I had found long ago.
I stayed quiet, barely breathing, and listened.
“…a new commander,” Roman said. His voice was low, but I could hear that he was unsure. “I’m not sure she’s loyal. Yes, she’s skilled and smart. But that doesn’t mean she’ll follow orders that seem questionable. She saved me from the hands of a traitor... She should be able to follow my instructions in helping us gain more power but I can't just trust blindly .”
“Give her time,” another voice said—it was the Beta, my father. “When she comes back, we’ll test where her loyalty really is. Since she helped you with the traitor and you promoted her... That's enough for her to stay loyal to who you are and not the people of the pack.”
My body tensed.
They were talking about me.
“She’s leaving today,” Roman went on. “She said she’s visiting a sick relative. If she really cared about her family, she would have gone sooner. But still, let her go. We’ll see what choice she makes when she comes back.”
“I believe in her,” my father said calmly. I could almost picture how his lips would usually curve downward into a mock smile. "Never met her, but from what you've said she will be useful for our plans.”
