Rebirth Of The Rejected Luna Chapter 155: Do You Still Want Revenge?

**Tiana's POV**

The chill of the night bit deeply into my skin, the damp earth pressing against my bare back together with thorns from the ground which pricked my skin. My body ached but I felt too weak and tired to stand up. I had stretched every muscle in me beyond its limit from running and now I was exhausted beyond measure. A throbbing lingered in my bones as well.

I forced my eyes open. The forest canopy above me swayed gently in the wind, the full moon peeking through the gaps and casting light on me.

Panic seized my chest as I registered the cool air against my skin. I was naked, but how?

I remembered transforming and feeling happy that I was finally transforming. Then I had broken into a run and after that, I could not remember anything else.

Before I could sit up, something heavy landed on me—a thick, tattered cloak.

"Foolish girl," Cecilia’s sharp voice scolded from above me. "You should’ve waited until you were trained before shifting. Now look at you, sprawled out like a newborn pup."

I groaned as I pulled the cloak tightly around my body, forcing myself to sit up. "I— I didn’t mean to shift."

Cecilia scoffed. "Of course, you didn’t. But the moon calls to our kind, and your body answered before your mind could keep up."

She turned, muttering to herself, and I realized she had been waiting for this.

"You knew," I accused, my voice hoarse.

"I suspected," she corrected. "Your body is not the same as the one you knew. Erika’s wolf was always strong. While yours lay dormant and just needed the right moment to break free. And what better moment than the full moon?"

I swallowed hard. A part of me had wanted this my entire life. In Moonstone Pack, I had been mocked for being wolfless, and pitied for being weak.

But now, sitting here, shivering on the forest floor, I realized something that filled me with dread.

I wasn’t just a werewolf now. I was Erika.

And that meant I was no longer Tiana.

The thought made me sick.

Cecilia crouched beside me, studying me with narrowed eyes. "You look disturbed. Shouldn’t you be celebrating? This is what you always wanted, isn’t it?"

I clenched my jaw. "I don’t know."

Her lips pressed into a thin line. "Hmph. Get up. We’re going back inside."

She stood, offering me a hand, but I hesitated before taking it. My legs trembled as I pushed myself up. The moment I was on my feet, she yanked me forward.

"Your training starts tomorrow," she said. "And judging by how pathetic you look right now, we have a long way to go."

I wanted to argue, but I was too exhausted to fight back. Instead, I followed her.

I barely slept that night. Every time I closed my eyes, I was back in the forest, feeling my body snap and break into something new. But the worst part wasn’t the pain.

It was the power.

The raw, intoxicating strength that had coursed through my veins, was unlike anything I had ever known.

Back in Moonstone Pack, I had dreamed of this moment—of shifting, of finally proving that I wasn’t weak. But this wasn’t my body. This wasn’t my real wolf.

What right did I have to claim it?

The old woman’s voice echoed in my head. ‘Your body is not the same as the one you knew.’

I turned onto my side, staring at the wooden walls of the cabin. The small room felt suffocating.

I had made a promise—to avenge Erika, to make her enemies suffer.

But what if I couldn’t?

What if I didn’t want to?

The thought gnawed at me until the first rays of morning light crept through the window.

I didn’t know who I was anymore.

And that terrified me more than anything.

Cecilia was ruthless.

The moment the sun rose, she dragged me outside, not even giving me time to eat.

"If you want to survive, you need to start moving like a warrior," she said, tossing a wooden staff at my feet. "Pick it up."

I did as she said, gripping the rough wood in my hands. It felt foreign, like something that belonged to Erika but not to me.

Cecilia studied me for a moment before sighing. "You don’t remember how to fight, do you?"

I shook my head, adjusting my stance. I had trained in the Shadowclaw pack but was I a warrior? I had to ask myself that and the fact that I hesitated made me realize that I was not. "I was never a fighter. I only began training in Shadowclaw."

She clicked her tongue. "Then it’s worse than I thought."

She picked up her own staff, twirling it with ease before striking out at me. I barely managed to jump back in time.

"Defend yourself!" she snapped.

I scrambled to lift my staff, but she was faster. With a sharp twist, she knocked it from my hands, sending it clattering to the ground. For an old woman, she was quick and strong but I reminded myself that she had powers. This woman had lit up a candle in my presence without a match so obviously she was stronger. She has magical powers within her.

"You hesitate too much," she scolded. "You think too much. A true warrior moves on instinct."

I swallowed hard, rubbing my sore wrist.

She sighed, rubbing her temple. "You have a strong body, but the mind controlling it is weak. That needs to change."

I wanted to snap back, to tell her I wasn’t weak, but the truth was, I had no idea what I was doing.

Cecilia leaned on her staff, watching me with narrowed eyes. "Tell me, girl. Do you still want revenge? And not because of Erika. I mean revenge on your own pack."

I stiffened. "Yes."

She arched a brow. "Then prove it."

She kicked my staff back toward me. "Pick it up. Again.”
