**Alpha Corvin’s POV**

For years, I had no idea why my wife, the Luna, had this major grudge against her older sister, Lady Althea. I mean, they would talk and stuff, but it was all so... polite. You know, like when you're trying to be nice to someone, but you're really not feeling it? That's what it was like between them. My wife would smile and laugh, but I could see the tension in her body like she was coiled up and ready to spring. And whenever Erika walked into the room, my wife's eyes would narrow, just for a second, before she'd put on this fake smile. It was like she was trying to hide something, but I had no idea what.

I knew my wife pretty well, though. I'd been with her for a long time, and I could read her like a book. I knew when she was happy, when she was sad, and when she was just plain annoyed. And whenever Lady Althea or Erika were around, I could sense this... undercurrent. This feeling that something was off, but I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was.

It wasn't like my wife was openly hostile or anything. No, she was way too classy for that. She would never do anything to make a scene or hurt someone's feelings. But there was just this... vibe. This feeling that she didn't really like Lady Althea or Erika, but she was pretending to, for some reason.

And the weirdest part was, she had chosen to keep them close. Like, really close. They lived in the packhouse with us, like we were supposed to be a big happy family. Except, of course, it wasn't.

The hatred was bad enough that it wasn't spoken that they were sisters. Even the two children had no idea they were cousins with each other. My wife insisted on distance and neglect with them, even though she wanted them in the pack house.

I mean, I had always thought it was weird that my wife had decided to keep them around, but I had never really questioned it. I just figured she knew what she was doing, and that was that.

At first, I did what any good mate would do. I trusted my wife's judgment, made sure Lady Althea and Erika were taken care of, and otherwise didn't really pay them much attention. I mean, why would I? They were just my wife's sister and niece, right? But then... I noticed Erika. Who would not have with the kind of person she was?

From the time Erika was a kid, I could tell she was different. There was this spark in her, this fire that burned bright and true. Most girls her age would have been intimidated by me, would have looked away or trembled under my gaze. But not Erika. She'd meet my eyes, hold them, and never back down the few times we met. She was strong-willed, sharp-tongued, and unyielding - a girl who refused to be moulded into something she didn't want to be. She never bought the idea of fitting into the cultural norms expected and I liked that about her.

As she got older, I started to take notice of her more and more. I'd watch her interact with the other pack members, and see how she'd stand up for herself and for others. She was fearless.

That's when I decided to start training her. I knew she had potential, and knew that she could be a valuable asset to the pack. And I wasn't just talking about her physical strength or her fighting skills - I was talking about her mind, her heart, her spirit. She was a girl who could think on her feet, who could strategize and plan. She was a girl who could lead and I was never one to waste potential irrespective of who the person was.

It was this same spirit that had landed me Carlo, an outsider as Beta and I had not regretted it since then.

But then, things started to be different. It started with the constellations. I'd been studying them for years, trying to decipher the patterns and read the celestial movements that governed fate. It was a delicate art, one that required patience and precision. And I was good at it - I'd always been able to read the signs, to predict what was coming.

But one night, I saw something that made my blood run cold. A celestial alignment that spoke of something rare, something powerful. It was the kind of power that appeared once in a generation, the kind that could shape the course of history itself.

I felt a shiver run down my spine as I gazed up at the stars. I'd never seen anything like this before, never felt this sense of anticipation and excitement. It was like the universe was trying to tell me something like it was trying to warn me of something.

The constellations were that of Erika's birth date. I knew, at that moment, that I had to know more. I had to know what this power was, what it meant, and how it was connected to Erika. I had to know everything. And so, I started to dig deeper, to research and investigate. I talked to the elders from other lands, poured over ancient texts, and even consulted with some of the most powerful sorcerers.

And what I found was mind-blowing. The celestial alignment was just the beginning, just the tip of the iceberg. There was so much more to it, so much more to Erika and her connection to the stars. And I was determined to uncover it all, to learn everything I could about this rare and powerful gift.

But I could not ignore the prophecy of that one constellation alignment. The prophecy about the Luna's first child— a strong-willed child.

I had assumed, of course, that it referred to Elara. My firstborn, my daughter, my heir. She had always been headstrong, and capable. But the more I pushed her, the more I tried to awaken the magic I knew should be within her, and the more I realized it wasn’t there.

Not in the way I had expected.

And then I turned my eyes toward Erika.
