Her CEO Stalker and Her Second Chance Mate Chapter 184

Briar

A picture of my mangled face came up on screen. I sensed Carter tense through the bond but forced myself to ignore it.

“What is this daughter?”

“Oh, I just figured I’d share my journey,” I lied. “This is how I came to this pack after I unknowingly rejected my first mate because I didn’t know what I was,” she said. Clyde’s jaw hardened.

“Adelaide, you don’t have to share this,” he tried to stop her. He didn’t like calling me by Briar, I wondered why

“Oh, Daddy, I think it’s important,” she promised. He gritted his teeth and Briar continued. “He beat, raped, and drugged me for weeks,” she admitted letting her eyes fall to the floor. “My wolf tried to protect me that day he kidnapped me but Creedon Macalister saw me for what I was and punished me for my ignorance.”

She set her phone on the mantel and I knew Misty had now taken over the TV and could hear everything going on. “I had no idea what I was until just before Creedon took Carter, she said. “I, however, did get my revenge for everything he did to me,” she insisted. The next slide was a photo of her aunt, Jake, and her outside a simple country home backed by woodland. “My uncle Jake was a big part of my life growing up. He taught me the basics of fighting. My mate,” she said, reaching out for me and wiggling her fingers to come join her. I stepped forward, taking her hand and tucking her into my side. “You all know your beloved beta Carter,” she said resting her head against my chest. “He taught me how to fight like a wolf,” the screen changed to the fight with Creedon. But this time my voice in the background wasn’t omitted and they saw the entire confrontation from start to finish. “What nobody knows is that Creedon came onto pack territory and overpowered my mate with three dozen wolves. I'm proud to say your beta took out six of them at least.” she said, smiling up at me. This was all a part of her plan.

“They subjected him to mass amounts of wolfsbane and tortured him until I could pull in all the allies I could muster and challenged him. I wonder how he got into Divide unbothered,” she said looking up to her father, her stare cold.

“Turn it off daughter,” Clyde hissed. The picture changed to a blurry image of me as Lana had run across the field. That's when the audio played. First the one where Creedon had talked to Clyde and offered money to collect Briar. Clyde went to lunge at her but the visiting alphas stepped between him and us as the next phone conversation played where he told Creedon to take care of me and come get Briar. Gasps rang out among the pack.

“What the fuck do you think your doing!” Clyde snapped.

“Just letting your pack know precisely who their alpha is,” she replied tersely. The screen changed to stills shuffling through all the missing persons.

Miranda pushed through the crowd and snarled at me. “Who do you think you are spewing discourse here tonight you fucking bitch, he’s your fucking alpha,” she snapped.

To my surprise it was Lana who squared off at her, lip raised as Carter pulled me protectively back.

“Listen here you heinous cum bitch,” Lana snarled, pushing a finger into Miranda’s chest. “That’s my alpha and you’re going to shut up and listen to what she has to say,” she snapped at Miranda.

“Or fucking what? Your pathetic wolf is broken bitch. I’m not tolerating this. There is nothing your disgrace of a wolf could do to make me not stand up for my alpha,” Miranda snarled back.

“Oh? The big bad bitch has big words, bet you’ve been cumming all over his dick too” Lana tisked, before the energy in the room changed, Lana’s aura expanding forcing Miranda to her knees. The crowd gasped. “Look at you on your knees like the good little bitch you are. Chasing every dominant male like the pathetic female you are,” with that Lana shook her head in annoyance and gave Miranda her back; the ultimate disrespect, as she retired to Mazzie’s side. Miranda struggled up and disappeared into the crowd. Clearly wounded.

Carter

Briar cleared her throat. “Now that we have that cleared up, back to the transgressions of your alpha.” Brair said, rolling her eyes. “Carter was forced to manipulate these human men and women,” She said waving at the screen to remind them all what we were talking about. “Under the false pretense of protecting the pack, he carried out his orders. Not one of them posed any real threat and every one of them to this day is still missing, besides this one.” The still of the mangled body of his last victim came across the screen. This one had shown up on the side of the road not far from the property, why her remains had been left so crudely and carelessly I couldn’t fathom.

“That is until last week when a neighboring pack lent me its keenest noses in order to search this property,” Briar went on as drone footage of the back yard from the house Creedon had tortured me at replaced the gruesome still on the TV.

“Take a wild guess who owns this property.” she said, looking directly at her father. “Do you want me to tell them?” she asked, pausing. “I bet you don’t.” she said, shaking her head in disgust at her father’s cold silence, rage wafted off him like shards cutting into the crowd’s shock.

“When we found their remains they were in pieces. Tell me father, was Jake right that my mother was taken by your enemies? You never saved her when they took her to get at you. Like a coward, you let them torture her to death? Or did you do it yourself because she dared to leave you?”

“I didn’t kill your mother.” he spat, still being restrained by four alphas.

“What about the rest of them?” Briar asked. “Did you murder them all?” He bared his teeth, snarling at Briar. She didn't balk, simply rolled her eyes as I stepped in front of her.

“You made me and Mazzie manipulate all those people just so you could kill them. Didn’t you?” I snarled at him.

“They are just human scum,” he snarled right back, apparently triggered by the accusation ,yet proving his guilt in the process.

“Well daddy,” Briar said enunciating ‘daddy’ in a way that proved it was meant as an insult. “You didn’t seem to have that problem with humans when you knocked my mother up.

Clyde chuckled. “You think your mother was simply human?” He laughed again. “She was my mate and she left me, and my piece of a shit of a half brother helped her get away. Her wolf’s blood was diluted, just like her sisters, washed out by that witch of a mother they had.” He growled. “Jake was a traitor, he’s lucky I let him live.”

“About that,” the screen changed and it was an email offering $50,000 to someone to bring his crew into Divide and take on Jake, his beta at the time. Outrage filled the room that the death of the pack’s beloved beta had been orchestrated by none other than their very own alpha. Clyde was near shifting now, held within the visiting alpha’s grasps.

Briar smiled too sweetly at him. “I’ve already sent this file to the Council, but I’ve also been told they may not like me very much so my grievances won’t be heard. Very misogynistic of them. Anyway, I don’t think a serial killer should be the one running this pack. What do you think?” she said, her eyes scanning the outraged crowd before looking at me. I looked out at the crowd.

“I think I know a way to fix this baby,” I told her unbuttoning my jacket. “I Beta Carter of the Divide pack Challenge you Kenith Clyde Oneill for the rights as alpha to this pack.”

I announced.
