Her CEO Stalker and Her Second Chance Mate Chapter 195

Briar tossed her clutch and the shoes into a chair. She had taken them off the moment we exited the elevator. I tossed my jacket and tie and was unfastening my cufflinks as I watched, the glittering fabric of Briar’s dress moved with her sleek figure. The light of the city as it filtered into the great area of the penthouse silhouetting  her.  The way that the fabric hugged the curve of her ass made my dick come to life. It didn’t really matter what she wore, there was always a reason to want her in every way. She is truly the only thing in this world that has made me whole, that gives my existence meaning.

She pulled pins out of her hair as she walked and I watched her, transfixed as each curled strand unraveled and fell down her back and over her shoulders. As she took the last one out I was siddling up behind her, my hands gripped the swells of her hips and yanked her back against my front. I ran my nose from her collarbone up to her ear. Goosebumps rose across her flesh as she sagged into me. I suckled on her pulse, a soft sound of contentment escaping her as my hands began to wander.

“Do you think it went well?” she asked.

“You were brilliant, my mate. Anyone who doesn’t appreciate what you are doing; cleaning up Creedon’s mess, is stupid,” I tried to ease her fears. She stood her ground tonight. Laid out a future any real wolf would be proud of. I knew she was well aware of the stigmatism of females amongst wolves by now. Being a strong female would in fact cause her a lot of problems in the future. Me taking on Clyde had been as much for my revenge as her need to place me at equal standing with her. Anybody who needed to know would know that now I was rightfully an alpha. My mate’s ability to bolster my dominance now would make any challenge futile, not to mention that both of our packs had two alphas. They would have to take us both on to lay claim to anything and that would deter most from ever trying.

She turned in my arms and looked up at me. “We can do this? Right?” she begged for reassurance.

I tilted her chin up meeting those pretty aquamarine eyes, somehow the silver of her dress made them even more mesmerising. This was my moment, I took her hand and kissed her knuckles, to distract her from my other digging into my pant pocket. I held her hand as I dropped to my knee holding the unopened box out to her. “I never got to ask you properly. Briar Adeilaide Anderson, will you do me the greatest honor of being not just my mate but also my wife?” I asked.

Her jaw dropped as recognition hit home, she stared at me before her eyes blinked and a few tears fell.

“Yes,” she said breathily.

“You haven’t even seen the ring.” I complained.

“I don’t need to see it, I’ll wear it proudly whatever it looks like,” she promised. I opened the box revealing the vintage engagement ring. I slipped the vintage inspired ring onto her finger and pocketed the box which also held our future wedding bands as I stood. I pulled her to me, my mouth descending on hers. She met me with a fierce passion that ignited the heat already rising within me to an inferno. I backed her into the counter and paused the kiss just to say.

“The rest of my life will be spent finding every way I can devote myself to you and our future, so that I may be worthy enough to call you mine.”

Her eyes stared up at me as her chest panted.

“I’m going to hold you to that Sheriff, because every day I am able to call myself yours is the only way I can imagine the rest of my life.” she vowed.

Carter’s eyes darkened at my words. His fists clenched at the back of my dress and as promised the fabric tore causing the top to pool around my waist exposing my skin to the heat radiating between us. He was the only future I wanted. However it panned out, whatever battles sat beyond the horizon of today. The misfortune I had to endure to bring me to him, though unwarranted, was worth everything to stand beside him for the rest of this lifetime. Carter tore the fabric further forcing the glittering dress to fall to my feet as our mouths met again in a wild dance of need and devotion.

I began unbuttoning his shirt as his fingers laced into my hair and gripped it, changing the angle of my mouth to his to give him better access. Carter had changed deeply on the inside after his ordeal with Creedon. However, on the outside he tried to portray the man he once was. With me though, he knew I understood the difference and he didn’t mask himself. Mazzie, Lana, and I were the only ones who could tell when he was struggling. Moments like now, he came alive, his shadows cast aside. Much like he had done for me I pushed, or was companionable silence for him to work through everything. The hardest part for him was shedding the blame he placed on himself for those lives my father had stolen from the world. The most important part was that he wanted to live, for us, our children and the future of the packs we had taken on. We each had visions for that future and we would both be damned if we didn’t do everything in our power to bring those dreams to life.

My fingers hooked into the front of his belt where it buckled and I yanked him to me. He growled into my mouth and I nipped playfully at him. I freed the buckle and the button of his pants. The next thing I knew he was hiking his hands up to my ass and me onto the marble countertop of the kitchen island. He kicked out of his pants, letting his hands rove my body before pushing me backwards and bending between my thighs and licking up the slit of my sex before settling over my clit. He discarded his shirt before hooking my legs over his broad shoulders. He yanked my hips off the edge of the counter and began devouring me. One hand flat over my stomach, holding me in place while the other sank two fingers into the heat of my core. His mouth and fingers worked me into a frenzy, slowing then quickening as he urged my body to his whims. My back rested against the cold counter, a stark contrast to the burning fire he ignited within me. I panted and moaned as the pleasure built within me before the crashing waves of an orgasam hit me like a freefall. His name cried out from my lips in a prayer to night.

He gathered me up and my legs tangled around his waist only for my back to be pressed against the first wall he encountered.

His lips trailed down my neck as he murmured. “I love your Briar, I don’t know how to breathe without you. How I ever lived without you.” My lips crashed to his in a passionate tangle, my fingers sinking into his hair. When we parted, his mouth found his mate mark and he latched onto it sucking hard. My eyes rolled back in my head as he held me up with one hand and positioned his cock to my entrance with the other. One, two, three, frustratingly slow thrusts and he entered me fully before he began to move like a starved man; starved for me. I was his oasis in the desert and he was the spark of light that shined the way home for me. I could never express into words what this man meant to me. I poured the passion of that feeling through our link into him as he unleashed himself on me in a frenzy. I didn’t bother being quiet. Neither did he. Moans, grunts and cries of bliss filled the apartment, until he stiffened as my walls clamped around his pulsing member. Immediately he was  kissing my lips tenderly as he let me slide to the ground.

“My turn, I teased, dragging him into the bedroom where I rode him until we came undone once more before passing out tangled in each other and our sheets.
