Her CEO Stalker and Her Second Chance Mate Chapter 194

“Fuck sorry, I’ve been stuck in a male dominated world too long, sometimes the bitch in me still slips out. That was highly inconsiderate, under the circumstances,” Latrisha admitted lowering her eyes. She would never know how those two weeks had come to haunt me, how Creedon had taken something I had held onto for so long. The thing I would have given him willingly before everything fell apart.

“The bitch has her place but not here with me, we are on the same team Trisha, don’t forget it,” I chastised her and she bowed her head giving me her neck. On video calls I couldn’t tell how much of Latrisha was trying to play me and how much was real. In person, my wolf’s instincts analyzed every minute detail of her posture. She and I had some trust hurdles to cross, but that would take time. Right now in this moment I had been the one to give her the power and control she craved. She was just another female fighting to rise in a man’s world. I saw it all for what it was now. When I was with Creedon, she saw me as a threat, now the tables had turned and she placed me as an ally. She was a formidable one to have in the business world. I’d seen her emasculate many men with the quip of her sharp tongue. She backed everything with validating proof in the board room to bring men to shame. She was smart, cunning, and calculating.

The doors creaked open and I took in a breath and let it out. Carter interlaced my fingers with his, on the hand hooked around his arm. I looked at him and he smiled back encouragingly.

“Go get ‘em, alpha,” he said via mind link as he led me into the ballroom. Everyone had their eyes trained on me, some curious, others spitefully. It was a sense not an observance, it didn’t matter either way. I just smiled at my mate and strode forward ignoring all the finely dressed people and headed to the stage.  I knew what needed to be said here. Latrisha moved past us and up the steps. Carter and I slowed as she took the microphone.

“It is my honor today to introduce to you publicly the new CEO of Alpha enterprises. Miss Adelaide Anderson,” she said excitedly and held out the microphone to me. I stepped away from Carter and took it, our fingertips lingering for a moment, as I sought out his support. Some claps and cheers rang out but most were soft polite claps. I wasn’t ignorant of the skepticism that would be on fire tonight.

“Hello everyone! I’m excited to finally be here and to announce the new direction our Alpha Enterprises is taking. It is no secret that the social media scandal of Creedon Macalister’s incompetence as a trusted business ally has sullied the name of this good company. I for one aim to rectify the standing of our establishment. The truth is this company has lost something vitally important to its legacy Honor,” I spoke with confidence as

I looked out over the crowd.

“As some of you know my disappearance wasn’t something I chose, Creedon forced me into a position that made it necessary to flee or risk my life. While I was gone with the help of trusted sources I uncovered just how filthy his deals were and how he was cheating his partners. I gave Creedon the option of silently stepping down and taking his leave so that I could rectify his mistakes or face the onslaught of his mistakes when they were made fully public. I have all the proof I need to revisit every deal and rectify every wrong. I will also not be renewing deals that benefit warmongers, or dirty oversea campaigns. I will bring our business home to our own territory. Instead of domination, we will be entering an era of cultivation. Prioritizing youth programs and partnerships that benefit not just the elite of the world, but also nourish and assist in the lives of everyday people. I have had several contracts lined up to steer this company into a direction, where we aren’t just known for our massive undertakings in the world for profit and calculated gain, but to make Alpha enterprises a name mentioned fondly in households across America. To do this we must redefine what Alpha stands for. When I hear the word alpha what comes most to my mind is an egotistical domineering male who expects submission of all to fall in line. Why? Because he is Alpha. Moving forward our partnerships will be collaborations, our brethren, and allies. Our new definition of Alpha will go back to the roots as it was intended to be. In a wolf pack the Alpha pair, nurture, protect, provide and police their pack for the better of all, not some. This is what I stand for. Over the next several months we will be backtracking and reviewing every contract made under Creedon and rectifying his wrongs while also reaching out to like minded businesses to join us in our new future.” I stepped back and smiled as several people applauded and the Lords and Sons came forward glasses of champagne in their hands.

“Lords and Sons, for one, looks forward to doing business with you Mrs. Anderson,” he said, raising his glass. Gasps went through the crowd. Latrisha passed Carter and me a glass.

“To the new Alpha of Alpha enterprises, may she lead you all with dignity, grace and honor.” He bellowed. The crowd excited at the prospect of the infamous Lords and Sons backing joined in the toast, the sounds of glass clanking and cheers filled my ears. That backing would quell most of the unrest brewing in the pack. If I could get the company back in good standing it would subdue the naysayers. It would be a rocky road but we would get there. Carter led me down the steps and we were greeted by none other than the Lords and Sons heads Garret and Carlson.

“So good to see you in person Mrs. Anderson and without that cockroach on your arm. Who is this?” Garret asked curiously. I sniffed and Carter and I shared a look, him confirming I was correct in assessing them as Bear shifters.

“This,” I said, holding up our hands with interlocked fingers. “Is my second chance, and the best thing to happen to me in all my life. Alpha Carter of the Divide pack of Colorado.”

Garret assessed us, he inhaled deeply and grinned.

“I see many congratulations are in order, seems you are going to be a very busy woman Adelaide, two packs, two babies and an Alpha for a mate. One day you are going to have to explain to me how you went from a mere human to an Alpha of two packs in a matter of months,” he said chuckling.

“That is a very long and confusing story. I will need to give you cliff notes to follow in the agenda of that meeting, along with several diagrams,” I said laughing.

“Looking forward to it, just know we do intend to continue collaborations with you when you are ready to redraft the proposal.

“Of course,” I told him. “I look forward to working with you.” These people didn’t need to know I had buried Adelaide months ago; deep within the shadowed parts of my once broken soul.

“It’s a shame though, I was hoping one of my sons could steal you away,” he chuckled, taking his leave as I planted a hand firmly in the center of Carter’s chest before he could act on his possessive bullshit.

“Dance with me, and then I’ll let you take me back to the penthouse and have your way with me soon enough,” I promised.

“You’re very convincing," he said, with a smirk, leading me to the dance floor before anyone else could stop us.
