Her CEO Stalker and Her Second Chance Mate Chapter 90
Creedon
I leaned against my desk and sipped the cup of coffee she had handed to me. It was wrong again! This new girl wasn’t working out. Addy knew just how I liked my coffee. Like me she was a very detail oriented person. This girl looked like she sipped chamomile tea for a rush. She often trembled when she spoke. Addy always gave me the facts and Ideas when things weren’t going well on one front or another. I would flush her out of hiding sooner or later and then she would be mine again. I shook my head trying to clear my thoughts. I placed the coffee back in the cardboard container my new assistant was holding.
“I take my cappuccinos dry.”
“I’m sorry sir, I’ll go get you another.”
“Don’t bother, I’ll get it myself. The evening report.” She looked down and set the container on the side table and pulled out her phone. It took her several swipes before she finally found what she was looking for. She was so tied to that device I doubted she knew how to write. Adelaide wrote things down or came prepared with an agenda every debrief. This one I hadn’t even bothered to remember her name. She fumbled with the folder under her arm and set it on the desk not looking at me. She ran off a list of appointments and meetings for tomorrow. Her hands shook and I rolled my eyes. She was about to tell me something I wouldn’t like. Aggravation yielded to a profuse fuming anger that threatened to consume me. It was a good thing I put the coffee down.
“The folder I’ve provided contains the detailed correspondences of the Lords and Sons choice to back out of any further talks of collaborating with Alpha Enterprises.
“What do you mean the Lords and Sons have backed out of any further negotiations?” I snarled.
The new girl winced, like the pathetic little mouse she was. Latrishia had filled Adelaide’s position with a meek slim redhead with no backbone and glasses as thick as a soda bottle. It was annoying. Everything everyone did around me added to my already mounting agitation and had me seeing red, I’d already killed a few of my men forcing me to cross a line with their incompetence.
“I’m sorry sir,” she said meekly. Her subservience irked me, as I threw the file across the room sending papers everywhere.
“Get out!” I growled. I was on the verge of another episode. As she scampered out the door I took a deep breath in. The Lords and Sons were just one of many vital contracts that had pulled out in the last twenty four hours. It couldn’t be a coincidence. Somone was behind this and they would pay with blood. I reached for my phone and seleted my best man. He answered immediately.
“Boss?”
“What do you have for me?”
“Nothing so far. I’ve verified three of the five addresses, none of the women match her description, one was a man. This lawyer did his do diligence to protect his clients. The other two addresses are on the other side of the country, I’ll have men vetting those within the week.” he promised.
“Tomorrow,” I growled. I was aware of his sharp intake of breath. It was a large ask but I wasn’t sitting down where my mate was concerned. I didn’t give a fuck who I had to plow over to get to her.
“They are both in wolf territories, we have to get the go ahead or we risk war for delving into those places.”
“Then get the fucking approval!” I snarled. Nobody told me where I could set foot. If had to, I'd show up personally at this point. I scrubbed my hand over my face, I was going insane over this woman. I needed her in my possession to think clearly. My hold on the bond was shaky at best at this point, it was as if something was thinning that tread I held between us. My wolf was constantly clawing at my insides. Her absence was ruining me. I could no longer think clearly.
The assistant walked back in trembling as she stared at her device.
“Oh No!” Her eyes widened looking at her phone and clicking something.
“What is it now?” I snarled at her my hand nearly crunching the the phone as I hung up.
She clicked a link sent to her by Kevin in PR and handed it to me.
The video played and images of receipts between Alpha Enterprises and some of the companies I had bulldozed out of millions flashed across the screen. The images were overlaid with the words.
“We know what you did Creeden Macalister.”
“We are coming for you.”
The word “Extortion.” Blinked over a background of hundred dollar bills at the end. It was a fucking TikTok! By the looks of it the video was going viral.
I crunched the phone in my hands and the lights suddenly flickered. I was going to fuck up whom ever had the adacity to cross me. Those files were only stored in one place. I never even brought them to the office. Computers and alarm panels beeped as the lights came back on line. What the actual fuck is going on? The building had a back up powerscorce. The city must be going through an outage. I shook my head took two steps and the entier building plunged into darkness. The new girl scream pierced my ears.
