His Abandoned Luna Chapter 198
|| Lilac’s POV ||
I gently laid Aurora down in her crib, brushing a soft kiss against her forehead. She cooed sleepily, her tiny fingers curling around mine before releasing me. The warmth of her innocence always soothed me-but nothing compared to the heat that flared through me the moment Alaric’s arms slid around my waist from behind.
His lips found the curve of my neck, slow and deliberate, sending a shiver down my spine.
“What are you doing?” I asked, my breath hitching as his teeth grazed my mark. Sparks ignited under my skin, liquid fire pooling low in my stomach.
“Seducing my Luna,” he murmured against my throat, his voice rough with desire. His hands slid up my sides, fingers pressing into the softness of my hips before gripping possessively.
“Alaric!” I meant to sound stern, but it came out as a moan, my body already arching into his touch.
He chuckled darkly, his tongue tracing the claiming mark he’d left on me not so long ago. My knees trembled, my pulse throbbing between my thighs.
“We have work to do...” I tried weakly, even as my hands reached back to tangle in his hair.
“We’ve done enough work,” he growled, nipping at my earlobe. “The rogues are under control, the witches are gone, and there’s been no sign of Agatha in the past six months.” His lips trailed lower, kissing along my shoulder, his breath hot against my skin.
“Still... Umm-” My protest dissolved into a gasp as he sucked lightly on my mark, his hands sliding up to cup my breasts, thumbs brushing over my already peaked nipples through the thin fabric of my dress.
“No buts, dove,” he commanded, spinning me around to face him. His eyes burned with hunger, the grey in them nearly swallowed by black. “I’ve worked hard these past months. And now?” His palm slid down my stomach, lower, until his fingers pressed against the aching heat between my legs. “I’m claiming my reward.”
I didn’t have time to think- not when his mouth crashed into mine, stealing my breath, my sanity. His kiss was relentless, demanding, his tongue sliding against mine in a rhythm that had me clawing at his shirt.
I barely registered the tearing of fabric before his hands were on me, lifting me effortlessly onto the nearby dresser. The wood was cool against my bare thighs as he shoved my dress up, his growl vibrating against my lips when he found me already wet for him.
“Fuck, Lilac,” he rasped, dragging his fingers through my slickness before bringing them to his mouth, his eyes locked on mine as he licked them clean. “You taste like heaven.”
I whimpered, my hips rocking forward, seeking friction. He didn’t make me wait.
In one swift motion, he freed himself from his pants, his length thick and heavy in his hand. My mouth watered at the sight, but before I could lean forward, he gripped my thighs and yanked me to the edge of the dresser.
“Look at me,” he ordered, and I obeyed, my gaze locking with his as he thrust into me in one deep, devastating stroke.
I cried out, my nails digging into his shoulders as he filled me completely, the stretch just shy of painful in the best way.
“Mine,” he snarled, his hips snapping forward, setting a brutal pace that had me seeing stars.
I could only cling to him, my moans mingling with his growls as he drove into me again and again, each thrust hitting that sweet spot inside me that had my toes curling.
“Alaric- I’m close-” I gasped, my body tightening around him.
He groaned, his hand sliding between us to circle my clit, his touch rough and perfect. “Come for me, my Luna,” he demanded.
And I did- shattering with a scream, my body convulsing around him as pleasure ripped through me. He followed me over the edge with a roar, his hips stuttering as he spilled deep inside me, his teeth sinking into my shoulder in a primal claim.
We collapsed onto the bed later, limbs tangled, his arms a secure cage around me. I traced lazy circles on his chest, listening to the steady beat of his heart.
“I love you,” I whispered, pressing a kiss to his skin.
He hummed, his fingers threading through my hair. “And I you more, dove. Always.”
Just as my eyelids grew heavy, a sudden eerie violet glow flickered in the corner of the room.
My breath caught.
“Alaric-” I sat up sharply, my heart pounding as the light pulsed around Aurora’s crib.
We both lunged from the bed, but before we could reach her, the glow coiled around our daughter like a living thing, her tiny form illuminated in its otherworldly light.
And then- just as suddenly as it appeared-it vanished.
Leaving behind only a single, blackened lily petal in her tiny, open palm.
I quickly picked her up.
“What is this, Alaric?” My voice shivered. Alaric remained silent. His eyes were sticking to the black petal left behind.
