Makahi POV:

"ROGUES SPOTTED AT THE EAST BORDERS!"

Blaze mind linked the pack! "Shit how many" I asked running out of the office towards the east border taking my shirt off as I ran. I had no time to discard my pants so they will get shredded when I shift. "Looks like maybe 15 or more." Blaze responded. "Hunter make sure all the women and children are in the safe houses." Copy that Hunter responded. "I need at least 5 guards on each border NOW to make sure there is no more waiting to attack. “Everyone else at the east border. “I yelled cutting off the mind link. As I approached, I see Shadow grabbing a rogue wolf by its neck and snapped it like it was nothing and he hadn't even shifted yet. Wait what the hell is he doing here and not on the west with the humans. Just before I could ask. I see my mother running toward me frantic "mom why aren't you in one of the safe houses? And where are the human women?" I asked opening up my mind link again as I broke into a run towards my mother, and I could see Shadow and Montego following. "I don't know they were out back training and -and when I heard the growl, I looked out back and they were gone. Kahi, we have to find them they can't die please find them Oh my Goddess Razor, I didn’t see him he must have gotten out somehow he was so fond of Ji'lahni he must have ran after them." My mother cried and fell into my arms. "Damn it mother I told you to keep your eyes on them. Go to the safe house with dad and I'll find the girls and Razor." I commanded, my mother.

"No, those girls were my responsibility I can help search for them, I can fight." "Mother there's no time to argue I can't search for them and worry about you not please just go." I said handing her to one of the guards that were helping some other women and children to the safe house. So far my men were keeping the rogues at the border they hadn't made it to the community yet. With any luck they won't. Just then I heard a roar that came from the west. And Shadow roared and shift in the blank of an eye and took off towards the west borders where we had the humans housed. Me and Montego both broke out running we didn't want to shift and scare the humans any more than they already were, so we weren't going to shift unless completely necessary. When the house came into view, I immediately heard Razor barking which let me know he wasn't in the house he must be I'm the wooded area where I can only assume the human women were. "SHADOW THEIR IN The WOODS BEHIND THE HOUSE GO IN FROM THE BACK" I mind linked, and he let out a roar and broke off from us to come up behind the house while we headed to the back of the house. All in my matter of seconds, which felt like minutes once again, I smelled the scent of watermelon and something else I still couldn't put my finger on.

Maka immediately pushed forward trying to take control I could see from a distance 3 rogue wolves and Razor barreling towards the biggest rogue I looked up just as I heard one of the women yells "Raz get your ass back to the house. I swear if you get eaten, I will kill you myself." Just Before she broke out into a run pulled out her crossbow aimed and shot. The other two women followed suit aiming at the other to rogue wolves and did the same. The bow hit the wolf's neck and slow him down enough to allow her to scoop Razor up Credle him just as the wolf recovered and swiped at her left arm that held Razor the rogue immediately ranked his paw away as if he'd just got burned when I saw his paw smoking she screamed out but managed to pull a knife out of nowhere with her right hand and stabbed the rogue wolf in his neck. As we got closer to them that smell hit me square in the chest that caused me to stumble and Maka roared MINE! I let out a roar that shook the ground and sprinted trying to get to my human mate. God damnit my mate is human. She tucked Razor into her shirt to free up her hands. The wolf was dying but not dead and he got back up shook his head and then knock my mate across the ground she grunted from the blow, curled her body around Razor at the last second as she hit the tree. I grabbed the rogue wolf by the neck before he could reach my mate wanting to finish her off. I let Maka come forward enough to rip his throat out. I could see Shadow and Montego making quick work of the other two rogues as I rushed over to my mate.

Her arm was bleeding badly I needed to get her to the pack doctor before she dies. I lift her easily into my arm franticly moving her braids out if her face. She had the most perfectly smooth milk chocolate skin full lips that looked like they were soft like clouds. "Hey baby wake up please wake up for me come on open your eyes and look at me please. You can't die especially when I don't even know your name." I whispered about to go into a full-blown meltdown." I could hear Razor whimpering still hiding in her shirt. " Hey Razor buddy you can come out now it's safe." I said lifting her shirt careful to not expose her to Shadow nor Montego. Montego scooped Razor up into his arms and squat beside me. Both of her cousins were shaking like a leaf and in shock even though they almost single handedly taken out 3 wolves by themselves. I would be impressed if I wasn’t scared half to death that my mate could have been killed. Once this was over I’m locking her ass in my house, and she is never to do something like this again. I thought angrily I could see Shadow slowly approaching one of the women who look like she wanted to bolt but I guess she figured he was ok since he damn near ripped the wolf she was fighting neck off. His wolf was checking her for injuries, but she was trying to push him off which he completely ignored by growling in warning and she immediately froze as he continued to check to see if she was hurt.

Lost in thought still trying to wake up the woman in my arms I barely heard Montego "Alpha your hand." Montego said Stepping back. Huh what my hand I looked down and notice that my hand was burning where her blood dripped on me. I yanked my hand away but didn't let her go. "What the hell is that? " I yelled wide eyed. "I don't know but we better get her to the pack doctor to find out. Because that's some freaky shit." Montego Said putting even more distance between us as Razor was squirming trying to get back to my mate. but Montego held him firmly. Just then the other two came running over. "Oh my God Ji'lahni please wake up you better wake your ass up if you die I swear I will never forgive you!" They cried. The women all favored each other you could tell they were family. "Hey, she's going to be find I’m going to take her to our doctor. he's the best in the state. But I have to hurry. you guys go change out of those bloody clothes and my Beta will escort you both to the hospital once you've cleaned up I promise she will be fine nothing is going to happen to her." I said lifting her into my arms and hissed when more of her blood burned me. I didn’t know what the hell is going on, but I needed answers. "Mine" my wolf said worriedly he was just as afraid as I was of losing our mate. Ji'lahni is what her cousins called her. It was a beautiful name for a beautiful woman. I squeezed her closer to me but let go a little when she groaned. At least she was still breathing.

Bursting through the pack hospital the doctor saw me and immediately stopped what he was doing and let the nurse take over with one of my men. "This way alpha is she breathing what happen?" he asked going into a room I laid her on the gurney but held her uninjured hand. "Rogue attacked it sliced her arm open and knocked her into a tree trying to protect Razor. Once she hit the tree, she passed out. And doc her blood burns us." I said just as the doctor back up away from her. "Wha- what do you mean burn us." He asked. I lift my hand where her blood dripped it was healing but you can still see what happened. "I have never seen anything like it. I will have to test her blood once I get her stable my gloves should protect my skin from her blood maybe you should put some gloves on to, so you want burn yourself again alpha." He said grabbing gloves and scissors. "No." I growled I refuse to let go of her hand and was not able to feel her skin. The doctor cut her sleeve to see her wound. He touched her skin and I growled at the doctor. Shocked, he looked at me wide eyed and confused. "Alpha I have to touch her to-to make sure everything is right before I stitch her up. Can I touch her." He asked clearly shaking up. I nodded I didn't like him touching her, but I know he needed to do it to make her better. She hadn't opened her eyes, yet I couldn't wait to look into the eyes of my mate. I can’t explain the overwhelming feelings that are hitting me. It's like when I found her the emptiness wolves always feel without their mate it seem to click into place as soon as we saw her. Mate!
