I’m writing so you won’t be worried as to why I’m no longer here. Me and my cousins think it’s best that we leave your pack for right now. I know that as the babies get older, I will need help dealing with their wolf half. But that isn’t right now. I can’t be here with your wife and her anger towards me and our girls. She is a danger to my babies, and I can’t depend on you to protect them as you should because of your guilt and your need to protect your wife which I now know is something you can’t control. I see how hard it is for you to do what you think is right. I don’t want to put you in a position where you have to choose between me, your daughters, or your wife, but that is what your wife continuously tries to do to feed her insecurities. So, with us gone I hope that it makes it easier for you.

I decided to remove your guilt and bring you some peace. Me and our daughter's presence seems to cause nothing but chaos in your life and relationship with your wife. If I take away your guilt, you can finally have everything you’ve always wanted. I will not keep the girls away from you. I will contact your mother to make arrangements for you to see the girls. I just want you to have a break from YOUR MISTAKES as your wife calls us. I don’t want my babies to ever feel like they were mistakes and the fact that you didn’t say anything, and they were there in the same room and people heard her call them that hurt me to my core. I need to do what’s best for my babies. I hope you can understand that.

Ji’lahni's POV:

By the time I finished the letter I was sitting on the bed because my legs gave out at the realization that they left me that my daughters were gone. I felt anger but Maka was howling in sorrow and blaming me for not protecting our pups and saying how we shouldn’t have marked Summer and now because of me we have lost our mate and our pups. My mom came to sit beside me and took the letter from my hand and read it. She let out a cry as my father tried to comfort her then we hear Diego howl and jumped out of the bedroom window and Shadow silently walked into the room. “Alpha, I came to tell you that I will be taking a leave of absence to search for Shawna. I will be back when and if she returns on her own terms. I have lost my other half mate I don’t think I can survive without… Her I can’t lose her too.” He said and walked out without waiting for a response from me and stripped as he walked out no doubt to try and catch their scent before it disappeared.

My mom stood and hugged me putting my head on her chest that was when I heard myself crying and I just let the pain of my broken heart go. Once I was cried out and my mother led me out of the house, and they escorted me to their house and took me to my old room. I sat on the bed as my father came in and sat beside me. He hadn’t said anything since he told me they weren’t there. “Son I can’t imagine the pain you’re feeling. But I do know that you have to make a decision about your other half mate and your marked mate. There is a reason you still have a connection which shouldn’t be. That alone should tell you something the moon goddess has a plan for you and Ji’lahni that is the only reason that would explain why you still feel the other half mate bond. Maybe you have to only choose who you truly want to be with. Everything will be as it should once you make the choice. You have to only have faith in the moon goddess’s plan.” My dad said getting up walking to the door. I was looking at him in shock I couldn’t believe that I hadn’t thought of it myself. Maybe all I had to do was make a choice.

Stopping at the door my father turned once again. “Son.” He said and I looked at him. Go get my chocolate sundaes and our chocolate drops. You don’t want to see what your mother does once she finishes crying and let the anger of what your Luna did which caused her grand pups to leave sink in.” he said leaving my old room. I was up and stripping I mind linked Montego and Shadow hoping I wasn’t too late. “Montego, I know your hurting but I’m going to find my mate and my pups please help me find our girls and bring them home. I didn’t hear from them right away after what seems like forever Montego finally answered with simple word. “OK.” Once I caught up with Shadow their scent mixed with the fumes from their car, we followed that scent and soon Montego joined us in the search we had one mission. FIND OUR MATES.

JI’LAHNI POV: 4 hours later…

“Not this shit again Mina. Where the hell are we?” I said as I breastfed Tru. We were on our way to momma Teri's brother’s pack. We made a rushed decision, but we wanted to be safe, not stupid. I told them about the dream, vision, or whatever you want to call it with the moon goddess, and we agreed we’re not taking any chances. Especially with Summer, the moon goddess told me to watch my back where she was concerned seeing how Kahi treated her and allowed her to say whatever she wanted and how she always plays the victim. Showed me that I’m the only one who would protect my babies. Shawna and Mina remembered momma Teri talking about her brother and when they were attacked momma Teri used their phone to call him.

We quickly called him and told him a little piece of the situation. He reluctantly agreed because we told him we were definitely going somewhere, and we would prefer it be with other wolves for the girl's sake and safety. So, he agreed and said he wouldn’t call Crystal Moon, but he will not lie to his family if they ask, we understood and agreed, so here we are lost again. “Hey, we not doing that. We weren’t lost the first time. I’m following the directions given. So don’t start because yall could’ve drove.” Mina said smartly. The babies were getting restless and whining. I think they somehow knew they were leaving their daddy. But I needed to get away from him and his back and forth over our obvious connection and then his guilt, and what happened this morning was the last straw.

“Hey, look I think I see a guard shack.” Lynn said. “It’s almost 1am with no streetlights it’s completely dark you don’t see a damn thing.” Shawna said and laughed. “I swear it’s a building up there look Mina; I know you see it.” “I see something, but I don’t know what it is, but we will find out.” As soon as she said that lights lit up the road and Mina slammed on the breaks. “Shit! What the hell! Are we about to get beamed up somewhere? Why they hell do they have it so bright. I can’t see shit.” Lynn said. A man came out of nowhere and tapped on the window.

“SHIT!” We all screamed pulling weapons out. The man held his hands up in surrender with a smile on his face. Mina let down her window. “Hey man! You don’t sneak up on Black folks like that Because that will get you fucked up.” Lynn said. “My apologies. I’m Storm the commander of the Blue Star pack. The Alpha told us you were coming to visit. Please follow the path up ahead, one of the omegas is waiting to show you to the house you will be staying at during your stay and I have informed the Alpha you’re here. He said he will allow you to get settled and will see you in the morning for breakfast at 8 am. Someone will be at your place at 7:45am.” He said with a warm smile and a wink.

“Damn, are all werewolves built like gods that black t-shirt did not hide his 8 pack in HD his arms look like pythons, and I know yall saw that air freshener can in his pants.” Mina said as she rolled up the window. “Would you shut the hell up you know that he probably heard you right?” I asked laughing. “Yes, I hope he did hear me. Why do you think I rolled the window up super slow.” Mina said and we all burst out laughing. “You’re a damn fool. But I did see that bottle soda and that is him soft. What the hell you think it will look like fully erect?” Shawna asked. “Shit a damn baby leg. You mess around and lose a kidney fucking with him.” I said as we all laughed. Although we missed our boys we felt at ease and safe here.

Just as Storm said a woman was waiting at the gate in a golf cart. She motioned for us to follow her. Once we reach what would be our temporary home, she hopped out the golf cart and greeted us with a warm smile and gushed over the sleeping babies. She was super nice. Her name was Raine apparently, she was Storm’s twin and talkative. She was on ten at 1am and we were at a 0.1. The sandman had us all in a sleeper hold we were fading fast. They had two guys waiting to carry our bags in. We didn’t even really look around they showed us the rooms and the bathroom and the rest we would see in the morning.

They left as soon as they showed us where everything was, they had put a bassinet in the master room for the girls and Raine said the alpha had brought out an entire store for the girls he was so excited about the girls coming to visit him. These were his first grand nieces, so he was over the moon happy. After they left, Lynn and Shawna helped me get the girls ready for bed before they crawled to their rooms to sleep. I took a quick everything important shower then crawled in bed falling to sleep almost instantly. But not before I felt a chill run through my body which made me a little uneasy. Not sure what that meant but I was too tired to worry about it. I needed to sleep before the girls woke up for a feeding.
