I jumped up at the Alpha's command and I immediately shifted and hit the floor running downstairs seeing Blaze and Hunter shifted as well. When we shifted it, it got rid of all the poison that was in our systems immediately. I saw all the girls except Shawna, but I smelled her down here, but she wasn’t in the house, and neither was the pups, shit we have failed our Alpha, but we will get them back and kill whoever dared to touch what’s ours. Her scent lead outside but I also smelled a faint scent. “Focus! No time for flashback we have to find our mate.” Rane yelled. Mate? Yea she’s our mate you dumb human.” Rane said just as the first wave of rogues descended on us. “Rogues have reached the pack get all the women and children in a safe house now! I heard through the mind link.

I was hit from the side, but the wolf had nothing on rain because he barely took a step and the road bounce and fell on his side which rain didn't hesitate to put a cloth to expose his belly and gutted him before turning to dodge and attack from another rogues. They were slowing me down and I’m just now realizing that they are just there to distract and slow us down. “Alpha the rogues are just a distraction to slow us down they have the pups and Shawna the other girls are at the house send the Luna and the alpha to them.” I said, via mind link. “No need me and your mother are already heading there now. We got this focus on getting my grand pups back.” The old Alpha said.

“We need more men on the West Side me Blaze and Hunter are outnumbered, and I can’t go after Shawna and the pups.” “Shadow go we can handle it until help come.” Hunter said. I simply nodded and started running killing any wolf that tried to stop. I must be going in the right direction because I became the target. Blazing and Hunter are now on defense stopping wolves that were trying to reach me. Damn it! There it is again, that scent seems to be getting stronger. “Watch out!” Blaze yelled. I barely dodged the paw that swiped at my neck. S*** I was distracted and confused I need to focus and make it to Shawna and the pups before it’s too late. “Hold on baby I’m coming.” I said as I took off at a run once again after I ripped the head off the last rogue that was in my way.

Shawna’s POV: Ass whipping continued

“Wake up please wake up!” I faintly heard…. Momma Teri? Opening my eyes. I frowned looking up at a crying Lateri. I immediately thought about Makahi. “What’s wrong is it, Makahi?” I said in a panic getting up from the floor and immediately swaying on my feet and why was I on the floor? “No baby they took the pups they drugged us and took the pups we need to find them.” Mama Teri said as she cried. It took me a second for the words to register. “No!” I screamed as I ran up the stairs to my room where the babies were supposed to be sleeping with Mina and Lynn on my heels, I slammed open the door and ran to the crib and it was empty, and all the air was knocked out of me before I screamed and fell to my knees.

“Lahni gets your s*** together so we can get them back.” Mina said. “Shawna went after them we have to go help her, she would never let anyone hurt them now load the f****** and let’s get my grand pups. Lateri said with death and destruction in her eyes shaking me out of my panic. And just like that a dead calm washed over me. “Okay let’s loaded up.” I said getting up from the floor now in combat mode. I went to my closet, grabbed my crossbow, my waist and thigh utility belt grabbed my gun, bow and arrow dipped in wolfsbane, loaded all my knives grabbed my harness because I’m riding a wolf tonight. I thought as I ran out my room the same time Lynn and Mina came out fully loaded with their harness, I swear we are reading each other’s minds. We ran downstairs to see three wolves waiting for us like they knew that we would need a ride. I didn’t see Lateri and Antoni, they may have joined the fight already.

We hopped on and secured our harnesses that had more knives, arrows, a gun, and bullets. Oh, they about to know what it means when we say you about to fuck around and find out. We raced towards the fight our main focus was killing everything insight that meant to harm my babies. I know Makahi was okay he was the alpha after all. Lynn was the first to see the first set of Rogues and just like that banana and split came out and if you saw what they did to the rogues she shot you would understand why she calls them that.

I thought it was a rogue jumping at me and my wolf trying to knock me off but at the last minute my wolf dropped, and the rogue ended up jumping over my head instead. I used my knife to cut open his belly on his way over and he was dead before he hit the ground. “Damn nice move.” I said, patting my wolf’s head. He nodded and started running again. My wolf is a badass I’m gone have to find out his name. He was running using paws and teeth killing rogues with ease as I protected his body and back. I see two wolves fighting off rogues my wolf jumps into the fight while I’m shooting my gun and he’s ripping heads off. The two wolves looked up at us and shifted immediately into Hunter and Blaze and they were naked completely, but I didn’t have time to focus on that. “Where’s Shawna and my babies?” I asked. Hoping they knew the way she went. “Shadow went that way after them, but I don’t know how far they are.” Blaze said. “Okay Lynn, Mina they went this way.” I yelled as my wolf went off at a dead run picking up speed.

If I didn’t need this speed I would be scared as shit, but fear isn’t here tonight, not now. We came up on Shadow fighting off eight rogues that were circling him. He was hurt but he was still looking deadly, especially with the half-dozen dead rogues that were at his feet. Looking out the corner of my eye I see more Rose coming I pull my purple custom semi-automatic Cobra RX crossbow with a five-bolt magazine I could kill five before I had to reload so I couldn’t miss. Who am I kidding I don’t miss. The first shot hit a rogue right between the eyes. “Hey that was mine.” Mina yelled at me.

“You were too slow cuz you can get the next one.” I yelled. Ss my wolf went in the direction of Shadow’s wolf who was ripping the head off another road as I approached. “Shadow where’s Shawna and the babies.” I yelled as we saw rogues coming out of the tree line. I need yall to listen well, so in less than ten seconds. Lynn hopped off her wolf, did a somersault and landed like the people in the movies. The next thing I see is this bitch ran halfway up a tree came down pulled out some kind of samurai sword cutting nah slicing a rogue’s head clean off while firing shots that killed three rogues without even looking in their direction. When I tell you shocked, I think even the rogues that we were fighting stopped and watched that shit. Yall remember when we said that Lynn fought like some kind of Ninja Assassin. While we definitely believe that s*** now.

She was flying, kicking swinging that sword with one hand and shooting rogues with the other. She kicked a rogue so hard that he damn nearly cracked his spine or something because we all heard a crunch when he hit the tree. We are talking a three hundred plus pound rogue, yea Lynn got some f****** explaining to do. “Damn cuz, are you seeing this? Mina asked, as she alternated between her gun and her throwing knives. Hell, yeah, I see that s*** Lynn got to tell me something if we don’t die out here tonight.” I said reloading my crossbow, and fired at the rogue that was one Shadows back as I got closer to him. “Shadow which direction did Shawna and my baby’s go?” I yelled again. Shadow finally recognized me.

I saw relief wash over his wolf’s face before he nodded his head in the direction of my babies and my cousin. I killed four more rogues that surrounded us. “Shadow, I have to go find Shawna.” I said he nodded and went back to fighting. “Mina, Lynn this way.” I yelled. “You and Mina go, me and Shadow will be right behind you.” Lynn said as she, Shadow, and the wolf she rode had their backs together waiting for the next wave of rogues, who were fast approaching I nodded. Then me and Mina went to get our family I just hope I wasn’t too late.
