Makahi's POV:

So, we knew exactly where the girls were but didn’t know how many were on the inside guarding them that was the biggest hurdle. “We need to take out as many wolves as we can without being detected. So that mean we start from the back and work our way up. Whatever team reaches an entry door let us know don’t wait for us we need to cover ground as much as we can as fast as we can communication is key here; we will have scouts watching and covering our back letting us know what’s coming. Once inside we separate into two groups one to search and rescue the girls, which will be me, Shadow, Montego, and Lynn. The second group is on search and attack take out as many wolves as you can. When we have the girls, we meet back at the entrance and get the hell out. Once we’re in, the scouts will get the trucks and be ready to load up at the designated location and get the hell outta here. The doc gathered all his finding and is taking them directly to the counsel for review to get them cleared of all the charges. Shadow yo……. WHAT THE HELL IS THAT.” I yelled as the sound of sirens blaring coming from the compound.

“Alpha, it looks like something is going on the guards are scrambling to the East side of the camp.” One of the scouts' mind linked. “What the hell, it looks like the girls are moving towards the back of the compound.” Lynn said as she showed me the screen of her mobile. Damnit that’s the same way my scout just mentioned. “Shit they have spotted us and trying to move the girls, or the girls are trying to escape either way we have no time let’s move!” I said and mind linked at the same time. We all shifted at once. I glanced at Montego as he shifts and swung Lynn onto his back as he shifted, they already moved as a unit without even realizing it that’s because Montego didn’t question his other half as I did and because of that my mate and my pup are in danger. With renewed determination I headed for my mate. I just hope she can forgive me once I get her to safety.

Just as we reach the clearing, I see my men attacking the guards who had their backs turned heading towards the East entrance. I easily kill two wolves on my way to the entrance when all of a sudden, I hear howling. I whip my head around to see my wolves being shot with guns, but they should have been able to heal and expel the bullets but for some reason they aren’t. “Listen up they have some type of gun that has bullets we can’t expel or heal from watch your back. Storm and Blaze get the wounded to the trucks Montego Shadow with me.” I mind linked just as we rounded the corner, my heart stops, I see Ji’lahni, Mina, and Shawna fighting four wolves just outside the compound door they still hadn’t made it to the fence which was at least a half of football field away. I see a wolf knocked Ji’lahni down and had her pinned, but Mina was right there and sliced his throat. Blood boiling, I rip to shred every wolf in my path. My wolf is almost feral as we kill each wolf one by one.

“Shawna, Mina, Ji’lahni,” Lynn screamed, the women looked up for a brief second and they looked relieved and crying they began running to the entrance. Ji’lahni was lagging behind them holding her arm that looked horrible which only angered me more. She looked paled and weaker than the others, but I see determination. “ALPHA WATCH OUT!” Shadow mind linked and growled just as I felt a hot bullet tare through my shoulder, my fur felt like it was on fire. Shadow rip the arm off the wolf holding the gun in human form. “ALPHA ARE YOU ALRIGHT?” Shadow yelled. “I’LL BE FINE GO RESCUE OUR WOMEN!” I yelled, my shoulder was completely useless, so my stride was much slower, but I blocked the pain because I needed to get to Ji’lahni. Montego and Lynn were now at the gate trying to rip it open. When we see a helicopter appearing suddenly hovering inside the compound.

Alpha Zane leaped out and shift before he hits the ground quickly catching up to the girls. As I reached the gate it seems like everything slowed down. Hearing the helicopter, the girls turned to see Zane closing in, I hear Ji’lahni screamed to the others “RUN!” That snapped them out of their stupor, and they turn to run without hesitating. I tore through the gate just as Ji’lahni stops running with tears streaming down her face with acceptance just as the gate was ripped open and the girls were near the gate. They didn’t notice she had stopped, but I can see her mouthed I love you, before turning and running, picking up a gun from one of the fallen guards. I break out into a run that I knew was far too slow because I was losing blood and energy…. I hear Lynn screaming No as Montego holds her back the girls stop and turns seeing that Ji’lahni had turn around racing towards the guards that were chasing them. Shadow and Hunter reach them just as they turn to get back to Ji’lahni. They are fighting trying to get loose. I let out a howl that shook the ground just as Ji’lahni was about to reach Zane.

She turns and her eyes land on me just as recognition registers, Zane shifts and lands a blow to the back of her head, and she crumbles to the ground. Zane spots me racing towards him. He hurries and scoops up Ji’lahni’s and race to the helicopter as I rip through guard after guard. “Alpha, we have to go they have more guards coming we have to get out. NOW!” I hear Montego yell from behind me killing guards beside me. He grabs me and I snapped and growl at him. “Alpha, please we need get out of here she’s gone we can regroup and come back.” Montego said he was now in human form because we had killed the guards that were there. My wolf was feral. I felt my control slipping and we were in so much pain not from the bullet but from the pain of seeing Ji’lahni sacrifice herself to save her family. How could she do something so stupid my wolf howled and growled in pain before I collapsed; I had lost too much blood.

“Don’t you fucking touch me. I will never forgive you for this.” I hear someone say as I fight to regain consciousness, but I was swallowed back into the peaceful darkness. The next time I escape the darkness I was able to open my eyes and when I looked around, I noticed I was in a hospital bed. I groaned and the omega nurses turns to look at me. “Where am I?” I asked as one of the omega nurses called out to the doc. He rushed over as I tried to sit up. “Calm down alpha your still pretty weak from your wound now that you’re up you should be able to shift in a few hours to heal completely.” The doctor said. “What going on why are we back here where’s.” I stopped as the memories came flooding back like a picture book flicking through every scene. I growled so loud the entire room trembled.

“Alpha please calm down you’re still weak from your gunshot wound.” The doc said which stocked me looking down I see where a bullet hole was in my shoulder why the hell didn’t it heal, I frowned confused. Seeing me looking at the wound. “Alpha, it seems as though Alpha Zane has used the girls' blood to manufacture a bullet that can wound or kill other wolves. We have informed the counsel, and everyone is looking for him.” The doc said unhooking me from the medical machines. Bursting through the door my mother and father rushed in crying and hugging me followed by Montego, Lynn, Shadow, Shawna, Hunter, and Mina but the one person I wished would walk through that door wasn’t and it was because of me. “How are you feeling son?" My father asked while my mother treated me like I was her little pup again.

“I’m fine dad I need to get out of here and find Ji’lahni I want all the reports from everyone who is helping to search for Zane. “Son you were hurt pretty bad how about you rest and allow everyone to search from Zane.” My father said with a look of concern. “NO! I have to find my mate and my pup.” I said grabbing the sweatpants turning to the doc. “Is all of the poison out of my system can I shift and heal?” “Yes, technically but I’m not sure your strong enough to shift just yet.” He said as I took a deep breath my wolf was anything but weak, I shifted and the wounds almost healed instantly I left the clinic and headed to the pack house and shift as I claimed the steps. With Everyone behind me.

I didn’t acknowledge any of them my main focus was finding Ji’lahni I was going to find her and kill alpha Zane. Picking up the report that was on my desk. I hear Summer yelling and running past my guard and bursting through the door throwing herself into my arms. I didn’t return her hug she step back with tears in my eyes. “I’m so glad you’re OK. Your parents wouldn’t let me see you at the clinic. I was so worried about you. I told you it was a bad idea to go to my uncle’s compound. Now that you got the human women back we can get back to normal and continue on with our mating ceremony. I know you’re shocked but I decided to forgive you for everything. The way it worked out must be a sign of how it was supposed to work out. I think we shouldn’t wait too long to mate I was thinking next week.”

Before I could think my wolf came forward and grabbed Summer threw her against the wall. “Do you really think I would mate the woman who stole my mate and my pup. You stand here and tell me that it was a sign that my mate and my pup were taken from me. I said stalking towards her as she scrambled backward with fear in her eyes. “Alpha please calm down she isn’t worth it.” Montego came to stand between me and Summer. “Get her away from me.” I said turning back towards my desk to the reports on my desk. “Summer I want to know every location your family owns and have every visited please do not lie or withhold anything. Think of this as a life-or-death situation for you. I know three women that are ready and willing to kill you without a second thought.” I said angrily, she gasped.

“You can’t mean that Kahi we’re supposed to mate. How can you be so cold to me after everything.” She cries but I feel nothing for her nothing at all only resentment. Turning to meet her eyes. “I mean every word. Your uncle has my mate and my pup. That’s all I care about if you don’t understand anything else understand that.” I said meeting her eye to eye. Just then we heard a commotion outside along with a few grunts and howls. Bursting through the door Lynn Mina and Shawna barges in. “About damn time sleeping beauty. Now that you’re back let’s get the fuck outta here and go find my family.” Lynn said crossing her arm over her chest.
