Sitting in the dining hall waiting for the food to be served when I felt Maka begin pacing in my head. Brushing him off I continued to talk to Montego about the plans for today when all of a sudden, the whole entire room went quiet. That’s when I smelt her the most delicious watermelon and cotton candy smell that gave Maka a sugar high. Our eyes immediately locked onto each other like a magnet, she was so fucking beautiful her silky milk chocolate skin looks edible. How can someone look edible? It doesn’t even matter, she looks tired, and she has her locs tied up in a messy bun at the top of her head which was sexy as fuck. Forgetting whatever the hell I was talking to Montego about I got up and made a beeline to Ji’lahni and my pups I vaguely heard Summer and Brittany gasping a “what the hell are they doing back here.” But I ignored them.

Never taken my eyes off her, stepping in front of Ji’lahni I hear Teri who must have scented that I was near because she started wiggling like crazy in her momma’s arms. But for a moment I stood in from of Ji’lahni, taking her body in with my eyes and I wanted to make sure I was in control before Maka tried to take over and do something we will both regret. “Speak for yourself.” He snorted. After I gathered my control. “Good morning my sweet pup did you sleep well last night.” I asked taking Teri from her momma as she kicked her arms and legs excitedly. I smiled and brought her to my face and nuzzled her neck. I purred softly as I allowed Maka to join me. He took the opportunity to lift our gaze to Look down at Ji’lahni.

“Good morning Ji’lahni.” Maka said licking our lips as he flashed pictures of last night when her pussy was dry humping our shaft. SHIT! I didn’t even notice that Summer had approached us until she cleared her throat. “Kahi what are they doing here? Why are you holding. Her kids everyone is watching we don’t want to confuse our people regarding those… Kids. People will talk. It’s embarrassing and disrespectful to your mate.” Summer said angrily and her Brittany was right behind her looking at Lynn and Mina bitterly.

“Here we go with the foolery. Let me see if I got all my knives cause I might have to throw something again today I be trying to avoid it, but folks be trying me.” I heard Lynn say as she patted herself looking for her knives, which we could all see that she was geared up as usual with her utility belt and her thigh straps on each thigh. “See Kahi all they want to do is act like wild animals. Why are they even allowed on our pack lands, I thought they were gone for good. We were finally getting back to normal and now they’re here to ruin everything again. You know Brittany is my Gamma, her and Montego were getting close before those humans got here, now it looks like they got him fooled just like they got Shadow.” Summer sneered with a growl.

Out of nowhere she grabbed at my arm that had Tru in it trying to get my attention, but she pulled a little too hard causing Tru’s head to lean back. I had to quickly balance her so she wouldn’t fall back. Ji’lahni grabbed her hand and pushed her away from me. She stumbled back into Brittany who caught her. Grabbing her small baby bump. “OH MY GOD YOU’RE TRYING TO KILL OUR BABY! KAHI, YOU CAN’T ALLOW HER TO GET AWAY WITH ATTACKING YOUR MATE!” Summer cried. I see my warriors get up and hear the clicks of weapons behind her.

I swear those girls are always quick on the draw. Seeing my warriors get up to attack, Maka’s immediately took over and let out a loud growl which had them immediately sitting back down baring their necks as we stood in front of Ji’lahni’s and my pups no one would ever touch them and live to talk about it. Summer was still crying. “You’re a real-life wack job just like your uncle. I removed your hand from his arm because you almost made him drop my baby.” Ji’lahni’s said rolling her eyes taking Tru away from me and handing her to Shawna and then took Teri into her arms. “Kahi please handle your wife before she says or do something that will get her ass whipped in from of everyone. Ji’lahni said shaking her head.

“Hey baby is everything ok.” That fucking beta asked coming up behind Ji’lahni wrapping his arm around her waist which caused Maka come forward in an instinct to see to Dom’s hand on her waist and just like that Maka took over and ripped the Beta away from my mates slamming him on the nearest table by the neck. “I told you to touch what’s mine.” I growled. My eyes are completely silver now Maka is in full Alpha mode my aura is coming out with every word I spoke. Everyone is on their knees baring their necks. The beta was clawing at my hands struggling to breathe and Maka was ready to kill him. “Give me control back now Maka!” I demanded trying to take back control. “I told him to never touch what’s mine.” Maka said growling.

We soon felt a familiar tingle that distracted Maka enough for me to take back control. I immediately heard my pups crying and Ji’lahni pleading with me to let go of the beta. Looking back at the people in here all I see is fear. I quickly let go of the beta and Ji’lahni immediately went to him a growled escaped my lips which made her jump in fear. Seeing her reaction, I quickly turned and left the dining hall shifting in the blink of an eye, running at full speed leaving Montego, who was trying to catch up with me behind. I may have just lost my other half and the pain of that possibility was too much. I needed to run.

Ji’lahni’s POV:

“Damn he almost fucked you all the way up.” Mina said, coming up behind me. I cut my eyes at her. “To soon? Yea it’s too soon.” Mina said, backing away. Looking back at Dom. “Are you ok? Do you need someone to call doc.” I asked helping Dom sit up. He was rubbing his neck. He nodded. “What the hell is going on Lahni why is the alpha acting like that with you I thought you told me he was mated. It can’t be if he is still acting like you’re his mate.” Dom said still rubbing his neck. Looking back at Summer who is still in shock playing the victim role. She is staring daggers at me which tells me she heard what Dom has said. Turning back to look at Dom. “Look let’s go to your room and I’ll explain everything then, ok?” I pleaded and he nodded. I turn to my cousins. “Hey, can you drop the girls off to momma Teri I know she will be excited to finally have them back here tell them I will be by later today to pick them up.” I said kissing the girls' cheeks as they still looked a little afraid or angry, I’m not too sure they were sucking on their binkies like they were hungry. I’m sure momma Teri will be able to feed them if needed.

Turning back to Dom I followed him out the door and to his room. I sat on the chair that was at the makeshift table. Taking a deep breathe I looked up to see Dom looking at me intently. “Lahni, tell me what’s going on between you and the Alpha.” He sat on his bed staring at me intently. “Honestly I don’t know everything I’m not a werewolf I don’t know all the rules and history of your kind, but I will tell you everything that has happen since we’ve been here, and you would be able to figure out more than me.” I said and he nodded for me to go ahead. So, I proceeded to tell him everything that has happened except the details behind the pups’ birth which I’m sure he knows how babies are born and left of the meeting with the moon goddess and definitely not what happened last night. Once I finished, he looked shocked and confused.

“I don’t know what to say. We have never had a human as our other half I thought it was just infatuation that went too far. The babies were an anomaly that would change our way of life and allow us to choose a human not that they could possibly be our other half. But it still doesn’t explain how he has marked another but still feel the mates' bond with you.” He said pacing the floor. “Well, that is what is happening. I honestly didn’t know he would have that reaction to you being here. If I did, I wouldn’t have brought you here. I honestly don’t know how I feel and that isn’t fair to you. So, I think you should go back to Uncle Felix until I figure it out, I really don’t want to have to go through this every time he sees you. I have to deal with him because he is the father of my babies. So, until then I think we should take a break. I said as a lump formed in my throat. I hated doing this when I knew that I would still have to deal with Summer the wacko and I’m expected to act like I have sense, but Kahi can’t do the same.
