Ji’lahni POV: Sixteen hours later

Why is it that my eyes always seems to be glued shut? I might need to get that checked because this isn’t normal at all. And who the hell is kicking me in the bladder. “MY BABY!” I answered and my mind cleared. My eyes flew open, and I instinctively put my hands on my growing belly and felt my baby kick. I breathed a sigh of relief and then the need to pee came right after that, reminding me that being pregnant means you and the toilet will have a very close relationship. I look around getting up slowly as the fog clears. The pain was gone thank god sliding off the bed. “Woah woah miss Nelson you have to be careful.” The doc came running in. I blinked in shocked and almost forgot I had to pee, and a little pee came out. What the hell is up with this being pregnant means you lose the ability to hold your pee. “Doc what? Where? When? Hold on stay right there I have to pee.” I said as I ran to the bathroom. “Oh God I swear this kid is bringing my bladder when he comes because I’m pretty sure he has detached it and using it as a squishy.” I said as I exited the bathroom. Looking up to see the doc still here and I wasn’t dreaming. I wobbled to him and hugged him crying. I know I don’t really know him, but he was the only person connected to my family and Kahi and he renewed my hope of getting out of here.

He was pretty shocked too. “Uh hello miss Nelson let’s get you back in bed you’re not out of the woods yet so you have to take it easy. “Yea Ok so when are we breaking the hell out of here?” I whispered. Letting him lead me back to the bed which was now a nice full-size bed with a whole bunch of new equipment that didn’t look like this was a short visit. Stopping and turning to the doc I ask again. “So, when are we breaking out of here?” Looking nervous and looking everywhere but at me. He whispered. “I don’t know I don’t know anything the alpha thought it best that I didn’t know. I just need to keep you and the pups alive for now so can you please lay back down, I want to have a look at them now that you’re awake.” He said. And I frowned but let him escort me back to the bed. “What kind of bullshit ass plan is that. How will we know when to be ready to get the hell out of here doc. And why are you saying, “pups with an s” and saying them as in plural. Zane said werewolves only birth one baby and all boys. I said while he put lube on my stomach smiling “ Well miss Nelson you’re not a wolf so I think that cancels out what we wolves know to be true about pregnancies.” Pointing to the screen as he moves the ultrasound camera and clears as day two faces. “Oh my God there’s two babies?”

“Yes there is two pups and one of them is actually a girl.” “What!? A girl.” I said covering my mouth as the tears flowed the shock happiness and fear was now doubled I had five people I had to survive for. And that was a bit overwhelming especially when the doc has no plan. “Does your alpha and his mate know? Even if they do I hope they don’t have plans to take my babies because I will kill EVERYONE before I allow them to take my babies. I know they are half wolves and I know nothing about wolves, but I will learn and make sure they know both human and wolf culture, but I will not be giving up my babies. I will destroy your entire community.” I said little to calmly for the doc because he gasped and turned gray I guess picturing it. I didn’t care he needed to take me seriously because I was, and I know I had three people that would help me with a smile on their faces. He recovered quickly. “Of course, the alpha knows he had been searching everywhere for you he is unhinged with worry.” He says which I relaxed knowing he was looking for me even though I know it’s because of the babies, but I don’t care as long as he’s looking. I know my family is helping too, so I have to believe they have a plan. I will do what I always do, be ready so I won’t have to get ready.

“Aahh Lahni you’re awake you are looking so much better since the doc arrived.” “Don’t call me that, my name is Ji’lahni we’re not friends.” “Awe, don’t be so mean I got the doc here just for you and saved your mut.” Zane said walking into the clinic. “Uh Alpha Zane we really need to keep miss Nelson’s blood pressure and stress under control. When I got here her blood pressure was not great which may have contributed to her pain.” The doc said shielding me from Zane’s approach. Which was weird because I don’t really know him like that, but I am carrying his Alpha’s babies so that maybe it. “Doc are you implying that I’m the cause for her current state?” He stepped in the doc’s face. Looking at him like he crazy. “Ah yes you’re the only person to blame. You had me and my family in a prison where you’re men took our blood and beat us every day and now you’re keeping me hostage and plan to force me to mate you. So, it’s pretty damn obvious you’re the blame.” I said getting angrier as I think about everything I have been through. The machine starts beeping and the doc hurries over to stop the machine. “Miss Nelson take a deep breath you have to try and calm down. This is a high-risk pregnancy and we’re flying blind already, so let’s keep your stress levels under control. Alpha Zane do you mind leaving while I try and calm her down you’re presence isn’t helping at the moment.” The doc said while administrating some pinkish liquid into my IV. “Fine! But we will be having dinner later tonight just the two of us, so you better get your emotions under control.” He said storming out.

“Are you ok?? How do you feel?” The doc asked. “I feel ok actually. What was that stuff you just gave me?” I said pointing at my IV bag. “Ah yes when I found out that you were pregnant with half werewolf pups I was afraid that because your blood contained wolfbane that you would harm the pups. So, I started working on a medicine that would counteract the effect of wolfbane and your human DNA to make your body an acceptable host for the pups.” “Wait what? Why would that harm my babies if they’re my babies shouldn’t they react the same why I do?” “Well miss there was no way of knowing for sure at the time because you had already been taken before I could do a complete analysis on you and the babies. But it seems the babies are very strong which is also surprising. Usually when a she wolf is pregnant with an alpha pup she inherit some of his aura as a way of protecting his mother. I thought that was because you were pregnant, and they were half human and two of them that they would be weaker than the average alpha pup. But they are very strong I can see your aura is stronger than I could ever imagine far stronger than any she wolf’s aura, in fact do you mind spitting Salvia into this cup I want to test a theory.” The doc said handing me a small cup. I’m looking at him like he done lost his mind or on some freaky type shit. Why the hell does he want my spit. He seems a little too damn excited to me. But he seems nerdy as hell and could just be excited about testing whatever theory he came up with. So, I spit as much into the cup as I can which ironically was easy if my pictured Zane trying to touch me in any way made me want to throw up.

Taking the spit cup away he had one of those big q-tip and dipped it inside the cup and then grabbed my arm where the scratch is. It was actually looking a lot better since coming here the nurse she cleaned it really good and even stitched it back up. The doc removed some of the stitches and then used the q-tip and applied the spit to my arm which was fucking gross even if it was my own spit. But as soon as he applied it my arm started to close and heal immediately.
