Ji’lahni: POV

“Oh My God!” I screamed when I saw my cousins racing towards me. I had about 5 minutes before another contraction hit so I am going to make the most of it. When we reached each other, we cried and hugged each other and cried some more. Before Shawna slapped my arm.” Hey! Pregnant girl in labor here.” I said rubbing my arm. “Well, you better be glad that’s all I did. Don’t you ever sacrifice yourself to save us until we tell you too.” Mina said crossing her arms looking at me angrily her eyes watering up. “I’m so sorry I honestly thought I was dying, and I knew yall would never let me do it if I told you. So, I did what I had to do to make sure yall made it out. I’m the oldest so I have to protect yall.” Isaid in my defense. “Cut the shit you’re only 2 months older than me, so don’t play that dumb ass I’m the oldest card, because that’s bullshit, and you know it.” Shawna rolled her eyes. Lynn and Mina nodded in agreement. Just as another contraction hit.

I screamed and my cousins quickly helped me onto the chopper all the guards on the chopper where all staring opened mouth at me as I screamed in pain, I grabbed the guard closest to me by the hand and he yelped in pain trying to remove his hand from my grip I think I heard one of the others whispered, “is his hand turning purple.” The pain was on ten at this point and I reached out with my other hand to grabbed onto anything for leverage and they all scattered like roaches, but one of them was to slow and I grabbed his hand just as the doc check my dilation. Only then did the contraction ease. “Well, we are still in the beginning stages your only 3 centimeters so that’s a good thing.” The doc said. “WE! We aren’t anything. I’m the only one going through this shit. You’re just digging in my cookies, giving me bad news every single time.” I yelled. As I laid back on the cot trying to get comfortable, it wasn’t happening.

What is taking Makahi so long I want to get off this God forsaken hell hole. I swear if I have my babies in the chopper, I will knock all his teeth out." I groaned still trying to get comfortable. I knew there wasn’t a comfortable spot on this cot, but my body wasn’t getting the picture. “I’m sure the Alpha will be here any moment.” The doc said smiling reassuringly. I turned away from him because I really wanted to punch him in the face. Giving up on this cot from hell feeling closed in with the urge to just get up and walk around. “I need to get out of here and just walk around I’m really uncomfortable.” I said making a move to get up. Grabbing my shoulders, “I don’t think that’s a good idea Luna.” One of the guards said. Glaring at him.

“I promise you, if you don’t get your hands off me, I will rip them from your body and shoved them so far down your damn throat that you will have to bend over just to wave at people.” I snarled. The guard quickly let go and raised his hands like he was under arrest.” Now help me outta here so I can walk around until Makahi shows up.” I’m sure I will feel bad about this later but right now I don’t give a damn. Lynn came beside me handing me a water bottle and a sandwich. I almost cried because lord knows I was hungry even with them contractions. I bite into the best bologna sandwich I have ever tasted and what topped it off was the lemonade. I thought it was water, but I should have known my family would come through. I sighed after I ate half the sandwich and lemonade, I felt the beginning stages of another contraction. When I started to breathe heavily the guards who were trailing us came to my side and held me so I wouldn’t fall, they even put their hands in mine even though they knew it would hurt.

I almost came to tears at how they rallied around me to protect and support me. “Thank you.” I said tearfully, “it’s our honor Luna.” They said just before their eyes lost focus which I now understand is when they mind link. “We have to get you back to the chopper the Alpha is close.” The guard said as they literally picked me up like I weighed nothing at all with the girls trying to keep up with him. Once back at the chopper everyone was scrapped in ready to get out of this hell hole. I was having a contraction when Makahi made it to the chopper, so I didn’t see or hear the commotion that erupted until it passed. All I saw was Mina, Shawna, and Lynn fighting the guys holding them as they yelled and screamed saying “I’M ABOUT TO KILL THAT BITCH! LET ME GO!” I wiggled and squirmed my way to a seated position trying peeped around doc to see who as we were about to kill. When I finally use doc shoulder to pull myself up. As if he could sense me, he looked straight at me with sadness in his eyes he looked like someone had died. I frowned then my eyes dropped to what or shall I say who he had cradled in his are. My eyes widen in shock. “I KNOW YOU FUCKING LYING!" I yelled just as another contraction hit.

Makahi POV:

When we made it to the exit both Montego and Shadow looked at me with the same what the hell expression. But I said nothing I just kept running trying to process to it all myself. Our bond was growing even in this stressful situation, but something was off too because I still felt a pull to Ji’lahni. This has never happened in the history of our community but neither has humans being mates or having our pups or alpha female pups being born. Right now, I just need to get Ji’lahni back to the pack. I’ll handle the rest later. I mind link the others that we were headed their way and to be ready to fly once we were on board. I also asked the doc how Ji’lahni was doing. But before he could respond Summer whimpered which caused me to lose focus and hold her tighter in my arms which she then sighed in contentment.

Which also calmed me and Maka which he too was having mixed emotions. As soon as we got to the chopper Montego and Shadow stopped me before I stepped on the chopper so they could get on before me. Which I know was because as soon as I got on the plan with Summer on my lap Mina, Lynn, and Shawna who were looking at what I can only assume was Ji’lahni. Would flip out immediately…. So as soon as the guys got on the chopper, they gently put their arms around the girls, I looked at hunter with a silent nod for him to do the same with Mina, which luckily, he understood. Just as I got on the chopper, the girls turned their attention to the guys before looking over at me and frowned confusingly because nobody mentioned another hostage.

But Summer thought it was a good idea to turn her head so everyone could see her face and that was when all hell broke loose. The girls' eyes widen in shock which turned into anger in the blank of an eye. They all tried to get to Summer all at once. Glade that the guys know what would happen once the girls saw Summer. “I’M ABOUT TO KILL THIS BITCH! I SWEAR YALL BETTER LET US GO.” They said trying to get out of the guy's grasp. Summer was crying and saying, “Don’t let them hurt your Luna please tell your guards to stop them.” Then it got really quiet. Montego's face froze looking at me, before he looked down at Summer's throat but couldn’t see it, so he looked back up at me with a questioning eye, I just nodded grimly, his look turned sad. All of a sudden, I felt this pull that had me turning my head toward the doc just as Ji’lahni peeked over his shoulder. My eyes locked on hers and I felt my heartbeat quicken. She frowns then looked down at Summer, and just like everyone else she looked shocked, hurt and anger.

“I KNOW YOU FUCKING LYING!” She said just as a contraction hit and I lost sight of the pain of her face after she saw Summer. I immediately put Summer on the seat next to me and when I get up to go check on Ji’lahni Summer grabbed me sobbing. “Please don’t leave me. I don’t want them to harm our pups. Again, the chopper went quiet, and everyone looked over at us in disbelief. “I’ll be right back no one will harm you.” I said peeling her hand away. “I need to go check on Ji’lahni.” I said still getting up. “Why? The doc is already helping her.” Summer pleaded. “Yea she’s right the doc and we got this Ji’lahni doesn’t need yo.” she trailed off looking from me to Summer in disgust.
