JI’LAHNI’S POV:

“I NEED TO PUSH!” I yelled suddenly as I felt so much pressure that I opened my legs because it felt like something was about to fall out. “Oh my God it’s time! I vaguely heard what sounded like Lateri say as everyone kissed my forehead and the nurse escorted everyone except Kahi and Shawna out of the room. It was always a giving that she would be with me in the delivery room because we were only 2 months apart and the only girls our parents had. So, our parents always had us dressed alike and we did everything together they raised us like sisters instead of cousins.

“NOPE I CAN’T DO IT! I CAN’T DO IT! CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP! I DON’T WANT TO DO THIS! DOC JUST KNOCK ME OUT AND CUT THEM OUT!” I yelled. As another contraction ripped through my body causing the pressure to increase and making me bare down and try to push through it. “Sorry Cuz no refunds it’s too late for all that. And you got this just think about the babies we have been waiting to see. Just do what you always told us to do, fight through the pain there is no such thing as quit, now let’s get this done and over with.” Shawna said holding my hands. “So that’s what we’re doing now throwing my word back at me.” I said scowling at her.

It feels like I had been pushing for hours but it had only been ten minutes. Once the latest contraction was over, I released Kahi who I had in a headlock. “I’m so sorry.” I cried. “Sssshhhhh I’m fine don’t worry about me you’re doing great baby I can already see the top of his or her head and they have a lot of hair.” Kahi said kissing my forehead. Even in pain I still feel the jolt of electricity when we touch. But these kids won’t let me be great because another contraction ripped through me. “I GOTTA PUSH AGAIN!” I screamed. “Ok Lahni I need a really big push let’s get the head out.” The doc said. As I yelled and grab Kahi again for leverage pushing with all might while they all yelled, “seven, eight, nine, annnddddd ten.”

“The head is out baby.” Kahi said kissing my lips. Which is weird since he's basically married now, but I’m going to let that go and chalk it up to emotions and excitement of the situation. Pressure was coming back faster than before. “I GOT TO PUSH!” “NO, NO DON’T. WAIT A SECOND THE UMBILICAL CARD WRAPPED AROUND THE PUP’S NECK. I HAVE TO REMOVE IT BEFORE YOU CAN PUSH AGAIN!” The doc said loudly. “WHAT? IS MY BABY OK!” I cried as I tried to fight against the pressure and urge to push. Kahi tried to keep his face calm for me, so I wouldn’t panic but I can tell his is scared. He still manages to comfort me.” Everything’s fine baby. Our pup is already being a little dare devil.” He smiled.

“OK we removed it when you feel the need to push go for it.” The doc said. But as soon as he said that the urge to push came and I bared down as hard as I could and all of sudden, I felt as my first baby slipped out like I just didn’t feel like I was pushing a car out. “IT’S A GIRL.” Kahi yelled crying. He was late to that party because I was already crying. But my girl was angry crying she was so loud I’m sure everyone outside heard her. By all the Cheering of what sounded like everyone from the entire pack was in the waiting room. The nurse placed her on my chest, and she quieted down to a whimper. She looked exactly like Kahi but with my complexion. But the strangest thing was her eye color, her left eye was blue like mine, but her right eye was silver like Kahi’s wolf.

“She’s so beautiful baby.” I said crying. “Yea she is cuz. My Niecy poo is beautiful.” Shawna said. I glanced her way and smiled. She was snapping pictures and crying like we all were. My baby boy wasn’t about to be ignored though. “I have to push again. Shit! Why couldn’t they both come out at the same time, like a team effort.” I said as I pushed which was a lot weaker than before. I was so weak this time around. “Doc, I don’t think I can do this. I’m too tired.” “You got this Lahni you have been through too much to let a little thing like pushing beat you.” The doc said trying to encourage me. “Doc don’t make me slap you, reverse psychology really?” I said taking a deep breath and pushed again. But again, I could barely push. I was feeling lightheaded and really dizzy. “SHIT she’s bleeding everyone get back remember her blood is dangerous. Get full body protection on NOW!” The doc yelled stepping back. “Hey doc, I don’t feel so good.” Whether I said it out loud or in my head I don’t know all I know is the pain was going away the farther into darkness I went. And just like that no more pain.

MAKAHI POV:

“Ji’lahni baby? Wake up, please baby wake up. DOC WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING?” I yelled in panic. “Alpha she’s bleeding, I have to stop the bleed, or she will bleed out. Please let me work.” The doc said as he was sopping the blood up and trying to stop the bleed. I can see the blood that got on his skin passed the glove was burning him, but his determination had him only grunting in pain, but he kept working trying to save Ji’lahni. When I turned back to Ji’lahni she was losing color. Maka was beating against my subconscious trying to get control he was howling angrily; he had wanted to mark her because if she was marked, I would be able to help her heal with my blood. In our species mates could heal their mate with their blood.

The moon goodness granted us that ability because our lives were so tied to our mate that when our mate dies the other mate would die or go rogue except for chosen mates. They could survive because the bond isn’t as strong as an other-half mate who was picked by the moon goddess herself. We couldn’t help her at all because I marked summer instead of her. She can’t die, I can’t lose her. “Mate is strong she not die.” Maka growled out. “Please baby you can’t leave me; you have to meet your other pup they both need their momma please baby.” I whispered kissing her forehead then leaned my forehead to hers trying to will her awake. “Alpha, we have to get your pup out we need to do an emergency C-section.” The Doc said as the nurse grabbed the machines connected to Ji’lahni as they hurriedly pushed her bed toward the exit. I was helping push her out of the room racing to the operating room still holding her hand in mine.

As we reached the double doors the Doc grabbed my arm to stop me and turns me to him. I growled and Maka surfaced, the Doc bared his neck. “Alpha please I’m trying to save our Luna I can’t do that with you in there. We have never had to do a C section I am confident I can do that, but you need to understand that she has lost a lot of blood and is very weak you need to be prepared.” He said still baring his next to me. I couldn’t say anything because of the large lump in my throat so I mind linked him. “Go save her and my pup.” I did notice he called Ji’lahni his Luna and I didn’t correct him because deep down I felt the same way. I heard the loudest cry which brought me back from losing control and allowing Maka take over. Turning I went back to the room seeing the nurse who was trying to wrap a crying angry baby. The nurse was sweating and shaking. I frowned. “Are you alright Helena?” I asked coming to stand next to her and touched my baby girls' hand and she instantly relaxed.

I smiled still seeing, and feeling the bond and connection we had when she was in her momma tummy. I also saw the omega relax as well. “I don’t know it must be your emotions alpha I felt your aura command wanting me to stop but once you touch her you calmed down and released the command.” She said, picking up my pup and placed her in my arms. The feel of her in my arm relaxed and calmed me and Maka it filled us with so much pride.
