“Hey. So. You. Don’t. Want. To. Take. A. Break.” I said Breathing hard as I dodged another shot and took another swing with my knife. I feel like I'm close to death not from this bitch but the fact that my ass is literally Hyperventilating. The babies are getting tired and more than likely hungry. But with Ji’lahni gone I don’t know what to do. My family is gone, and those babies need me. I thought with renewed energy which I know comes from anger knowing that this bitch is the reason for me no longer having any family besides those babies. “You killed the only family I had left, and you will not be taking my cousin’s babies away from me you will have to kill me today.” I said between each swing of my knife. “I know damn well you didn’t think you could get rid of us that easy, we should feel insulted.” I heard from behind me just as an arrow whizzed past my face and nicked that bitch in the shoulder. She stumbled back in shocked as I took that opportunity to run the short distance to run their way as they continue firing arrows and throwing stars at the crazy bitch. She is fucking fast as hell where the fuck is Lynn.” Mina said dodge as best she could. “You go get my babies while we distract this wacko.” Ji’lahni said, my eyes snapped in the baby’s direction and nodded. I saw rogues coming out of the trees.

“Shit, shit, shit!” I said as I used the babies blanket to wrap and tied them securely so I could carry them like a purse. Just then I heard a loud grunt and then a thud I turned around and saw the crazy bitch has land a kick and punch to both Ji’lahni and Mina, they hit the ground super hard. “Damn it I told yall that bitch is a ninja.” I said to myself as I ran up on her ass and knocked her ass in the back of the head with the handle of my knife. That made that bitch stumble to the fucking ground lie a sack of potatoes it didn't knock her ass put but it did have her seeing birds flying around her head. I hit her one more time so I could check on Ji’lahni they were sitting up groaning. “That bitch hits hard as hell.” Mina said, getting up. “Well, I have to thank you for wrapping the pups up all nice and neat for me it will be a lot easier to get them out of here.” We all froze at the sound of the vilest bat shit crazy wolf. “Zane!” we said at the same time. I grabbed that bitch by the hair and punched her again hoping like hell that she was important to Zane my cousins went to surround him trying to get close enough to attack. “You take one more step and I will cut this bitches throat. Give us the babies back.” I yelled at him. He glanced at his partner and just shrugged his shoulders.

“Do what you must I have what I came here for, well not everything.” He said and glanced at Ji’lahni. “You don’t think I can get you to come with us huh? We can leave this place and finally be together we can rule the whole entire shifter world. You can be my queen and have my heir I’ve missed you mate.” He said lovingly daydreaming like a damn schoolgirl. “You are a real loony toon out here in these woods.” Ji’lahni said. trying to get closer to him. He doesn't seem to notice or care. The bitch in my hand was starting to struggle. I pressed the knife harder on her throat. “Go right ahead and keep moving cut your own throat I don't think that would count as me killing you so I'm good.” I said, yanking her head back. We all heard a loud growl and howl and feet thumping the ground and we all knew who it was. The Alpha and his warriors were coming in fast. We were all visibly relaxed but the look on Zane’s face was priceless. He realized that he had spent too much time trying to woe Ji’lahni. Now he was getting desperate. He took off running and we all screamed. Ji’lahni and Mina took off behind him. Lynn came barreling by me on top of a wolf looking like a warrior princess. I had to take care of this bitch once and for all. I can't risk her coming back trying to take the babies again. took a deep breath and slammed her head into the nearest tree I never thought I would be able to kill without remorse but when someone threating your family and our babies ain’t no guilt in me. I left my arm to swing, but I heard a “NO!” right before I could swing my knife someone grabbed my arm. “I what the hell...” I trailed off as I faced the person who stopped me from killing this bitch.

“Shadow stood their frozen in place his eyes on the crazy bitch when I heard her say mate. My eyes snapped to her then back to Shadow because this must be a fucking mistake. “Shadow what the...” I yelled, which finally got Shadow's attention all I saw was guilt and sorrow. “Shadow?” I whispered but before I could find out what the hell was going on I felt a pinch right below my boob. I looked down to see the crazy bat had a knife buried there. That’s when the pain registered and the weakness from the blood leaving caused the knife to drop and my legs to give out. Which was when Shadow frowned looking down at the knife his mate still had buried in my rib cage, his eyes going wide right before everything started to go dark. All I thought about was my baby oh god my baby! I kept saying it over and over in my head hoping it would come out of my mouth. But all I could hear was a loud howl right before everything went black.

Shadow’s POV:

Once we killed the last of the rogues, we raced in the direction of the pups and the girls. Rane was feeling anxious coming up to the girls. We see Zane with the Alpha’s pups in his hand. Mina and Ji’lahni were circling him in Lynn who was on Blaze’s wolf Thorn raced passed me to help out the girls. “Alpha Zane is here, and he has the pups the girls are trying to trap him.” I mind linked. I heard a loud growl followed by our warrior howls you could hear their paws beating the ground heading this way. All of a sudden, the scent came back stronger, and it was unmistaken I could no longer ignore. I knew who that scent belongs to, but it had to be a mistake. I shifted to my human form mediately searching for the scent that I never thought I would smell again. My eyes landed on Shawna who had just slammed a small figure into a tree, and I knew instantly who it was “mate!” Rane howled in my head. I was Shawna lift her arm that was holding a knife I reacted with only one thought protect my mate. I reached her just as she was about to swing, I caught her arm “NO!” I Yelled my eyes on the woman who is my mate, she was crying and afraid. “Shadow?” I vaguely heard Shawna say but my main focus was on my mate who was crying and Afraid. “Shadow!” I finally heard Shawna yell.
