We found them!

Makahi's POV:

“Damn it! We lost their scent.” I growled in our mind link. We had traveled for hours following their scent. We were in wolf form running at full speed in order to get as much area covered before we lost their scent. We knew the general direction but needed to get back and regroup so I mind linked hunter the direction in which we were headed. He was on his way with clothes and a truck, we will head back and regroup and continue trying to track them. We also had their license plate number and gave them to one of our buddies who worked security to run it and get the tracking from the rental company. It would take a while to get the information, so we decided to wait on that and clear our heads.

We were all angry and on edge because they left without a word knowing the dangers that is still out there and we were afraid that the wrong people will find out that the girls had left the pack, especially Summer. It was unspoken but I knew the fear that Montego and Shadow had, they respected me enough to not say it outright. But honestly, I had that same fear. I already told my mom and dad to not say a word about the girls not being there we will just say I had them confined to the house because they threatened the Luna. It was believable and would satisfy Summer’s ego.

Now that I made the decision to mate with Ji’lahni I needed to avoid Summer as much as possible. Maka was going crazy in my subconscious he didn’t want to head back he wanted to continue searching, looking at Montego and Shadow their wolves were doing the same thing as Maka. “Chill the hell out we need to be clear headed when we find them you can’t be overbearing, we still have to convince her to allow us to mate her on top of the fact that their blood could kill us.” I said to Maka, he calms down at my words. I told Montego what my dad told me and that I decided to take the risk. Hoping that the moon goddess protected Summer and her pup. That was my only concern, but I needed to do this. I now realized that I was in love with Ji’lahni. I fell in love with her before I even met her. I just hope she feels the same way about me after everything I did to her. Hunter pulled up beside us with the truck. Once we were piled in. We headed back to the pack; my mind could only think of Ji’lahni and my pups as Maka growled Mine! “Yea buddy you’re right they’re Mine.” I sighed.

Back to Ji’lahni POV: 7am

“Would yall hurry up. The Alpha is sending someone in 30 minutes to take us to breakfast.” The girls were being fussy this morning. I fed and changed their diapers and had their clothes picked out for my cousins to put on while I showered. “Calm down we’re right here.” They said grumbling because as I said before, we’re not morning people. But seeing the girls they perked up and immediately starts cooing and talking to them blowing strawberries on their cheeks and tummies the girls loved them so much. I headed into the bathroom for a quick shower. At exactly 7:45 someone knocked on the door. Carrying Teri in her arms Lynn swung the door open to Storm smiling face. “Good morning, ladies, I hope you slept well last night.” He said eyeing Lynn with a smile licking his lips. Lynn ignored him and turned around to put Teri in her car seat. “We slept great we just didn’t sleep long.” Mina said carrying Tru in her arms, apparently, she decided to change Tru’s clothes so they both wore pink. Tru was in a little pink dress with matching undies. Her hair was in two pigtails with pink bows. She had a head full of curly black hair, so the pigtails looked like afro puffs. Teri on the other hand had one pigtail. Her hair was a dark brown color. She ironically also matched Lynn and Shawna who wore royal blue.

Coming down the hallway towards the door. “Oh, so nobody told me we were matching. Yall know those are my babies, right?” “Yea, yea grab the diaper bag and Teri’s car seat.” Mina said walking out the door towards the golf carts. “I don’t like yall I hope we’re clear on that.” I yelled at their backs as I closed the doors behind me. Once we reach the pack house and walked into the dining room just like before. As soon as we entered the dining room everyone stops talking and turn their gaze towards us. Mina whispered. “From the front of the room a big, tall man came barreling towards us he looked like a female version of Momma Teri, just bigger like a big teddy bear he was all muscles like he lived in the gym and just like his baby sister he doesn’t look a day over forty. “It is so good to finally meet my sister’s daughters and grand pups. Which means you girls are my nieces and must call me Uncle Felix.” He said gathering us in bear hugs lifting each of us off the floor before he grabbed both of the car seats and told us to follow him. He had vacant seats for us next to him. He even had chairs next to him that fit the girl's car seats perfectly, so they faced the table. But Uncle Felix didn’t even put them in the chairs, he wanted to hold both girls in his hands. He didn’t even want to put them down while we ate, he had them in the palm of his big hands, which they snuggled in them he was baby talking with them the entire time and my girls as usual also talked their little heads off. His entire pack was so different then Crystal moon. Everyone was so nice they admitted they didn’t have many human people that knew what they were, so it felt so good to have us there and not have to hide and lie about who they were.

The younger women were asking about human men. I figured because I was able to have sex and have babies by a wolf, they were curious and talking about maybe seeing if they had other half mates that were human. Once breakfast was finished the alpha asked us to meet him in his office. Still holding the now sleeping girls on his shoulders with spit up and slobber draining down his shoulder. He shooed me away every time I tried to wipe it off, he did not care about his ruined shirt. Sitting at his desk he leaned back gently bouncing and rubbing the girls looking at the both of them with obvious love in his eyes he acted just like their grandpa he sniffed them and his eyes changed to that of his wolf who purred before his eyes changed back, he focused on us for the first time as we sat there not liking being ignored but we had to get used to it because it happened every time we had the girls with us.

“Well can one of you tell me what brought you here without the alpha and my sister knowing that you left and came here. Although I love that I finally got to see these two beautiful pups here and they’re the only reason I’m agreeing to not say anything to my sister or nephew which I’m sure that if Kahi doesn’t kill me my baby sister definitely will.” He said in a loud whisper so as not wake the girls. Damn I thought I wouldn’t have to explain why we left. That’s a lie I knew I would, I was just really hoping that I didn’t. Taking a deep breathe I told him the most important parts of the story he didn’t need to know about the babies’ power, and I didn’t tell him about Lynn and Montego either. “That’s why we left. We’re not trying to cause you trouble so you can call momma Teri and let her know where we are, but we will ask her to talk to her son and give us some time to figure some things out.” He visibly relaxed at not having to lie and keep this from his sister and best friend. Dialing her number, she picked up on the second ring. “Hey baby sister.” He said when she answered. “Oh, Felix I’m so glad you call I was going to call you today. My chocolate drops and my grand pups are gone they left because my dumb ass son couldn’t keep his bitch mate in line. So, they left, and we have no idea where they are or if they’re OK. I’m so worried about them.” Momma Teri said crying. We all looked at each other feeling like crap we didn’t mean to hurt or worry her we weren’t thinking about anything but getting away from the guys.

Just as we were about to say something the girls beat us to it. They immediately woke up when they heard their Nona’s voice. “Felix what was that.” She questioned softly and hopefully. I decided to speak up. “It’s us momma Teri we came to your brother's pack. We’re so sorry that we left without telling you. We just needed to get the girls away from Sumner we just didn’t feel like Kahi would be able to protect them from her because of his guilt and their mating bond which makes him, and his guards protect her.” I said in a rush. “OH MY GOD! ANTONI, I FOUND THEM THEY’RE WITH FELIX.” She cried in relief. We heard Antoni pick up the phone. Felix is it true my girls and my sundaes are with you.” He said his voice full of emotion.

We felt even worse now. This time Mina spoke up. Yes, we’re here and safe poppa Toni.” “Thank God! We were so worried about you girls. We’re glad you’re safe.” He said just as Teri got back on the line. “Girls I’m so sorry you had to deal with that bitch. I only wish you would have said something we were so worried, and the boys are so worried about you and the pups. Kahi is almost feral. He needs to know you and the pups are safe.” Momma Teri said. “Momma Teri I’m so sorry we made you guys worry we just didn’t think that we would be able to leave if we told anyone. But please don’t tell him we’re at your brother’s pack right now. Can you please just tell him that we’re safe and just need a few….” A loud crash could be heard on the other end of the line and a deadly growl. All we could hear is angry breathing. “No need to tell me anything. Uncle I’ll be there in a couple of hours.” Kahi said in a deep growling voice disconnecting without another word. “Damn he mad as hell Cuz.” Mina said looking at me with the oh shit look.

MAKAHI POV:

I was pacing my office floor. Barely able to keep Maka at bay. He was fighting for control with the need to find our mate and pups. How could she just up and leave without saying anything? “You know why she left. Because you marked Summer and just took her side when Summer was causing all the drama. You chose Summer for a second time.” Maka growled. I knew he was right but that doesn’t stop the anger and fear. Going to sit behind my desk picking up the phone to call our connect to see if he was able to track the car the girls used. But before I could dial the number my mother screamed in the mind link. “WE FOUND THEM SON!” My mother yelled through our mind link.

Which was all I needed to hear as I ran out of my office, half shifted in the blink of an eye. I was at my parents' door just as I heard, “Momma Teri I’m so sorry to make you guys worry we just didn’t think that we would be able to leave if we told anyone. But please don’t tell him we’re at your brother’s pack right now. Can you please just tell him that we’re safe and just need a few….” I crashed into the house and picked up the nearest phone in the house. “No need to tell me anything. Uncle I’ll be there in a couple of hours.” I said in a deep growling voice and hung up the phone without another word. I turned to head back out the door. “Shadow, Montego head to the gate.” I mind linked.

“Son.” My father said grabbing my arm I growled instantly which would make any wolf back away and bare his neck, although I’m stronger than my father now that I’m alpha, he was still of alpha blood, so it takes more than a growl and a small amount of alpha commend for my father to submit. Taking a deep breath. I turn to hear him out. He never really interfered or give advice unless it’s important and needed to be heard. “Son you can’t go into your uncles' pack with this much aggression. They left because they didn’t feel like you or Montego could protect her pups because of your loyalty to your Luna. If you go, there demanding her to return here while Summer is still Luna then you will have a fight on your hands.

Try looking at it from her point of view the man she’s obviously in love with, choose to mark another… her being human their feelings don’t just go away when you mark another. So having to see you and Summer together while she threatens to take her children you can’t ask any mother to come back to an environment like this. If you force them, you will lose them all.” He said letting my arm go walking into the house closing the door as I left. Thinking about everything my father said made sense. I needed a plan on how to get my mate back. I will use this time during the ride to think of a way to get Ji’lahni and my pups back. Just as we made it to the main gate.
